I don’t think I’ve heard Burmese spoken before! It’s beautiful!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you heard it first from me!❤️
hi alison! ahh this is so cool! we get to hear you speak in Burmese hehe. hope we can meet up soon in the near future! Been loving your thumbnails + editing lately ❤ I'm sure you got so much stronger + independent from moving here since you had to figure things out yourself & that's so amazing!
I don't have enough practice speaking Burmese so it's a bit rusty lol. And thank you so much! Lmk when you're in SD or I'll let you know if I'm coming to LA, cuz i know i will !
I am 14 years old. As you know,Burma's education will not improve under military rule. So,I want to study abroad like you. Are there any scholarships for my age? What should I study now in Myanmar?
I asked a lot of people but they did not answer to me. I hope you will answer to me.
Hi Arkar! You are still 14 and you have many years ahead of you so don't stress about it too much. As of now, focus on practicing your English reading and writing skills. I am not too familiar with scholarships for middle schoolers and I haven't heard much about it. So i'd suggest you to find scholarships when you are about to graduate high school. College scholarships are much more common! I hope this helps and good luck!
@@AlisonThazin Hi mama How old are you?I'm 13years old.I live in village.I'm very poor but I wanna go to US because I study. My dream is doctor.I love you.You are verry pretty and so cute.If I do mistake,I'm so sorry
@@thwethazinlin1407 hi little sis! I love how you dream big since you are young! I did just the same! If you need financial help, there are foundations that help pay for smart and successful students to study abroad! I believe in you ! You’ll just need to do some research!
It sounds so expensive and complicated 🥺 I’m glad you got your visa ❤️

Hi ama! I just wanna ask which school did u graduate from when you were in Myanmar? Was your school a government school or international private school like (ILBC or MCTA…etc)
And when you arrived to the US did u have trouble speaking or understanding to the locals there.BTW u look so beautiful 👀❤️
Thank you so much! You're so sweet :D I went to Horizon international school in Mandalay! I didn't have trouble understanding/speaking to the locals in California. Also most of them are super friendly and nice~
How did you learn for your IELTS exam? And how long does it take..pls answer me sister, thank u..
I studied for 3 months and once you make a schedule for the IELTS exam, I think it only takes around 1 hour to finish taking the test if I remember it correct. I might be remembering it wrong though. 😅
I wonder to ask some question I probably intimidate about.
Many foreign students around the world went to United States For study.
However,After the graduation,Their F1 visa status would possibly lose as well as they didn't find the jobs in feasible time.
So many student most likely to apply for work visa status H1B if they have job. But I heard the some infos abt that ,when we go through by H1B status, it might be difficult to attain the green card. They neccesarily go throught the various process to get sponsor from their companies and some other lottery system(not DV lottery) which could possibly be taken at least 10 years to get GC status. I wonder that if somebody failed in this event, how could they live in united state. With illegal immegrant status or seeking as asylee?
If you don't mind, can you please share which status are you living with in US after your graduation.
Wishing for your gracious reply.
Thank you.
Hi there! I don't think H1B visa makes getting green card hard at all. My ex-coworker went through the process just fine. But besides finding a company to sponsor you for H1B, it is also a lottery process, so you need to be lucky in order to get the visa. Currently, if you are from Myanmar, you can do asylum or TPS (temporary protected status). I am currently under TPS. Thank you for watching!✨
Could you explain about scholarship for international students?💜
I'll make sure to remember this and include it in my future videos!
How's the adorable girl♥️
@@AlisonThazinwhere ? Pls upload
Hi Alison, I wanna know if this possible for international student to earn only tuition fees by herself by doing part time job? ONLY TUITION FEE? Now, I am waiting to apply City College of San Francisco this march? I would be so glad if you would answer my question. Thank u ama yy.
I'm sorry Htet Myat Noe, unfortunately part time job alone is not enough to cover out of state tuition fees.
How much does it need to pay tution fee for 1 quarter ?
Hi nancy, I've talked more about tuition fees in this vide: ua-cam.com/video/ljte2sNpzuo/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
Hi Alison, as a Myanmar student, i want to study high school in US because I don't want to wait Myanmar's education. So how's your opinion can i continue my high school program in US or how?
I would say either wait for the situation to settle down and finish high school or you can take tests like how international schools in Myanmar make their students do (IGCSE, etc.) and complete high school. I'm not familiar with how to apply for high schools in the U.S so I'm afraid I cannot be much of help.
Hi mama I want to know if it is harder to transfer in sophomore year or transfer when it’s time for uni like you and I also want to know which would cost more.I am a grade 10 new system student so I can’t decide if I should just wait for everything to get back to normal or try to study abroad.Thank you! Your videos are amazing!!
Hey there! Thanks for watching! It's better to transfer to 4-year uni after 2-years of studying in cc. This makes the transfer process easier and it will be a lot cheaper as well!
@@AlisonThazin thank you sooo much for your reply!!
I would like to know the total cost of school airfare and visa in the United States
Hi Aye. I'm afraid you would have to do your own research for that because the cost of school and flight tickets are different according to the location. Flight tickets usually cost around $850-$1300 and school costs around $10,000 per year, if it's community college. Universities would be much more expensive. As for the visa fee, I'd suggest you to visit the Myanmar U.S embassy to find out. This is just an estimate so please double check.
Thank you Alison≧ω≦
What job do you get if you work and go to school?
There are actually a lot of jobs out there! Some examples are working at the bookstore, library, cafeteria, tutoring center, etc. 💕
hello sis! i wanna know that how you go to us after Grade -11 in myanmar.with scholarship or something 👀
I'm not quite familiar with scholarships but I do know some study abroad agents in Burma can hook you up with scholarships.
Do we need both TOFEL and IELTS or only IELTS to apply CC ?
Hi there! It really depends on the CC. They should only require either or, not both. But I would advise you to double check the requirements on the school website :D

can you tell me how much do I need in general to go to a college in the US🥺
It really depends on the school, if it's community college, I would say around $9500 for a year. And as for university, it's double the price.
@@AlisonThazin thank youu ma!!
