Not an international student but I had many international student friends and learning to cook your fav foods and bring your own stuff is is a musttttt. Lol, my bf gave me chili powder from his country that's super hard to find here and I'm still using it 😅
For real! woah what type of chili powder is it! It must be rare huh? And yea I can't cook a lot of Burmese dishes because it's honestly so hard for me to find the ingredients here. Now that I moved to San Diego, there's zero Burmese restaurant and I only know how to make 3 Burmese dishes. RIP ahahaha

thank you making this videoo
It's my pleasure✨
Thanks for the excellent advice and information especially for Burmese international students who are coming to the USA to study. May I add a little advice ... before the candidate arrives try to find out if any Myanmar association, monastery, or Myanmar people are in that intended city...or even after the arrival you should contact them. Most people will give help.
I love this!
Hi! Thanks for the videos, they are very helpful. 😊 I really want to know how you took notes, studied and listened to lectures when you first arrived there and how it's different from the burmese education system ❤️
Great suggestion! Definitely a great idea for another video! Thanks for watching!
Plz create more video for international student
Yes I will! Thanks for watching!

@@trusthtown8423 It's Community College.
Of course! I'll try my best to make more helpful videos about it in the future! Thanks for supporting.
I’m applying De Anza CC for spring quarter. Can u make video about ur Cc experiences and housing prices and some other tips living in Cupertino too. Thank you !
There's definitely going to be more videos like this in the future! Meanwhile, you can watch my three other videos about studying the U.S on my channel if you haven't already!
Hi! Could you tell me step by step how you started preparing for study in the US?
please make more videos about studying abroad in us 🙏🙏
Yes I will make sure to! Stay tuned! :D
Hello my dear 🤩💕
I have worked as an elementary teacher at public schools for 6 years , but it’s been 5 months since I resigned from my job. Now I am planning to pursue the Bachelor in elementary education in the U.S by joining cc+uni pathway . I have always dreamed of working at the U.S elementary schools due to their innovative classroom environments. I have learned about the requirements for each state ( about tests and licence ) I know it would be too much of a challenge that I have to face to become a teacher in the U.S 🥶 But I still want to try it
So my question is ......,
1 . Especially in California , are there international students who apply to the elementary education major at the Community College ?
2 . For that major , which cc do most international students choose?
3 . After graduation, what kind of job can I get with my degree before I get license ?
I hope you will notice of what I want to know , dear 😘
Thanks in advance !!! 💕
Hi there! Thank you so much for supporting. I can see that you're really passionate about receiving Bachelor in elementary education in the U.S and I believe it really is a great major to pursue and the career later on. But unfortunately, the questions you've asked is beyond my knowledge and experience so i'm afraid I can't answer these questions for you! Regardless, I hope you find the answers you're looking for soon!
Can you do a video about how you choose school and subject
Yes I can! I'll be making another video about this soon! Possibly in Novemeber!
Hi, I’m from Myanmar. Can u do more video like this and I’m thinking to go to De anza CC so where do u think is the convenient place to live.
Hi there! Yes I'll definitely make more helpful videos like this in the future! Hmm... if you're going to De Anza, I would recommend you to live in Sunnyvale or Cupertino! It's easier to commute.
2 years college တက်ပီး uni တက်တဲ့အချိန်က age limit ရှိလားရှင့်
No age limit!
Is it easy to get jobs with an associate’s degree ? Btw your advice helps me a lot , thank you for sharing Alison 🧡
Hmm I'd say it would also depend on your major. But to be honest, landing a job is already hard with a bachelor's degree. Thanks for watching btw~

Yes you can if you have the proper paperwork! OPT? H1B visa? etc.🥰
hey! thanks for the tips and i want to know how many hours international students are allowed to work in US like part time. And other restrictions like u can only work in the campus or not, taxes etc..
Hi there! You can work 20 hours per week only on campus. And yes, you'll have to file taxes every year. Hope this helps!
Thanks for sharing and if I work part-time and can i cut the cost of school and living by half?
Not usually, because part-timers are not paid as much. However, if you are Burmese, I heard recently that you can work outside of school due to the state of the country.
ေက်းဇူးပါအမ🥰
You're welcome!
Hii, if this isn't a uncomfortable topic to ask, how much does it cost per month to live in an urban area like Cali? Did you receive any scholarships/financial aid? What were your highschool grades before college?
Hi Hein Zarni Aung! I'd be more than happy to answer if it's of use to you. I would say with rent+food+utilities+other expenses, around 1500 if you're frugal. I did not receive any scholarships/financial aid! And my highschool grades were above average for sure. Definitely not the best haha
Heyy hein zarni!im jus a forcaster frm the past. Here r the details of u: schs u attended-brainworks/total,now finishing high sch in ILBC n ur frm myanmar. Dunt forgot to reply if its all pin-point correct.
Hi, can I ask as an international student is high school diploma necessary to enroll in SMC?
What’s smc again?

Yes finally aha! I'm sorry if my Burmese sounds so awkward. I don't really have many Burmese friends here so I don't speak Burmese unless it's with my parents! Thanks for watching!

Student can apply social security number in US?
Yes! Once students receive their job offers, part-time in this case, they can apply for social security number!
Are you live there with a student visa or something? Could you tell me please,I really want to know this 💓
And I hope you reply this 💓
Yes I have a student visa (f-1 visa) currently! I hope this helps :D
Is there an age limit for the international school you attended in myanmar?if i'll attend do i have to take entrance exam?i'm 14
Hi there. Usually you do have to take an entrance exam more so because they want to know your skill level so they can place you in the right class/grade.
Hi! Sis! I really wanna study abroad in L.A. and is there any burma town like vietnam town, china, etc.
And do i had to attend at Univer after passing grade 10 in myan or had to attend US grade 11,12? And R there alot of celebrities in L.A.? Any racisting on asian? Now, i m just trying to get to study abroad to US,La! 🙂
Hi Thant! I love L.A and I think it's going to be a great place to study! And unfortunately, there are no burma towns I know of. But the most populated areas with Burmese ppl are in Fremont, CA, and around that area! To attend the university, you just need the high school transcripts so yes, you have to PASS high school. LA is really known for celebrities and in fact, I've met the Fast and Furious actor Vin Diesel! But California is very open-minded and a lot of Asians live there so there's not much racism.
@@AlisonThazin Thanks u so much sis! I take motivations from u and try my study the best and oneday, i will go study abroad to L.A. !🥰😇😊

It's all the same city or outskirts. But if you go to an expensive state like California obviously, your pay will be higher but so will your expenses 🥺
