    Not an international student but I had many international student friends and learning to cook your fav foods and bring your own stuff is is a musttttt. Lol, my bf gave me chili powder from his country that's super hard to find here and I'm still using it 😅

    • @AlisonThazin
      @AlisonThazin  3 роки тому +1

      For real! woah what type of chili powder is it! It must be rare huh? And yea I can't cook a lot of Burmese dishes because it's honestly so hard for me to find the ingredients here. Now that I moved to San Diego, there's zero Burmese restaurant and I only know how to make 3 Burmese dishes. RIP ahahaha

    Thanks for the excellent advice and information especially for Burmese international students who are coming to the USA to study. May I add a little advice ... before the candidate arrives try to find out if any Myanmar association, monastery, or Myanmar people are in that intended city...or even after the arrival you should contact them. Most people will give help.

    Hello my dear 🤩💕
    I have worked as an elementary teacher at public schools for 6 years , but it’s been 5 months since I resigned from my job. Now I am planning to pursue the Bachelor in elementary education in the U.S by joining cc+uni pathway . I have always dreamed of working at the U.S elementary schools due to their innovative classroom environments. I have learned about the requirements for each state ( about tests and licence ) I know it would be too much of a challenge that I have to face to become a teacher in the U.S 🥶 But I still want to try it
    So my question is ......,
    1 . Especially in California , are there international students who apply to the elementary education major at the Community College ?
    2 . For that major , which cc do most international students choose?
    3 . After graduation, what kind of job can I get with my degree before I get license ?
    I hope you will notice of what I want to know , dear 😘
    Thanks in advance !!! 💕

      @AlisonThazin  3 роки тому

      Hi there! Thank you so much for supporting. I can see that you're really passionate about receiving Bachelor in elementary education in the U.S and I believe it really is a great major to pursue and the career later on. But unfortunately, the questions you've asked is beyond my knowledge and experience so i'm afraid I can't answer these questions for you! Regardless, I hope you find the answers you're looking for soon!

      Hi Hein Zarni Aung! I'd be more than happy to answer if it's of use to you. I would say with rent+food+utilities+other expenses, around 1500 if you're frugal. I did not receive any scholarships/financial aid! And my highschool grades were above average for sure. Definitely not the best haha

    And do i had to attend at Univer after passing grade 10 in myan or had to attend US grade 11,12? And R there alot of celebrities in L.A.? Any racisting on asian? Now, i m just trying to get to study abroad to US,La! 🙂

    • @AlisonThazin
      @AlisonThazin  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Thant! I love L.A and I think it's going to be a great place to study! And unfortunately, there are no burma towns I know of. But the most populated areas with Burmese ppl are in Fremont, CA, and around that area! To attend the university, you just need the high school transcripts so yes, you have to PASS high school. LA is really known for celebrities and in fact, I've met the Fast and Furious actor Vin Diesel! But California is very open-minded and a lot of Asians live there so there's not much racism.
