And the aim of the combat is to not lose the combo meter. That's where most the fun comes from by getting a x50 or more on the screen makes you feel like Batman himself. Counter, hit, jump over enemies, counter again, use gadgets, hit someone. And repeat :3

As a veteran Arkham series player, this series is literally the golden age of gaming. Story picks up very fast and I still revisit these games every year or so. My advice to help you, (especially since you picked hard on the first go) SLOW DOWN 😂 It looks like you’re trying to rush through the combat and stealth areas. Play it like Spider-Man (PS4). They used the Arkham style combat in that game along with some of the stealth elements. Don’t just spam square, you need to keep your combo’s up and be patient with your punches for the critical strikes to connect. I’ve been waiting for you to play this series for the longest and hope you have a shit ton of fun, LET’S GET IT.
Exactly he was rushing through the stealth parts that’s why he died so much 😂😂 it’s Batman you gotta be sneaky sometimes. I think in some mission if you get caught, not even killed, it’s an automatic game over

@@Al7249 The Riddler stuff is in every Arkham game, and it's not exactly loot but you do collect Joker Teeth for XP bonuses but those don't really pop up anymore after Arkham City
"do harley and batman have a thing" in a lot of iterations they seem to get along, even as close friends, whenever harley comes to her senses and realizes the joker is horrible for her, and their dynamic in those moments is always really cool
In one of the more recent comics they are married.

He's right. Reading the character bios/stories does help with immersion. I remember playing Arkham City and reading the files about the Iceberg Lounge. It said Joker put a bottle through Penguin's eye. I thought Penguin had a monocle on, the whole time it was a damn bottle.😂

so glad you started this journey. i used to watch my friend play through this series back in the day, but ive never played it until recently. the new batman movie reawakened my love for batman, so i decided to try out the arkham series. although i did start with arkham knight, it was absolutely amazing. probably in my top 10 games ive ever played.

@@gxlaxy7998 most people, and even the developers, don’t count Origins as apart of the “trilogy” due to it not being made by Rocksteady but yes, he should play all four. Origins is a bit underrated.

Once the game teaches you how to play it and get it down, THAT is when shit starts to hit the fan wild. Keep playing this bro, I swear you won't regret it.

@@butternutboy346 definitely agree, they had to stretch it to the one hour and 30 minute mark, the comic is concise and effective in displaying the parallel between Batman and joker, not to mention the Barbara and Batman romance doesn’t really do anything for the plot

Played it when if first came out back in 2009 when I was 5 years old and this game was IT for me, of course Arkham city capitalized on everything it did and Arkham origins reused the same assets of city and didn’t break the experience for me as Arkham knight did with the constant Tank battles.

I'm so glad you're playing this series, bro. If you plan on going to all of the console games, don't skip Origins. Origins imo had the best boss fights, incredible voice acting, and phenomenal cinematics albeit a predictable story. Batman Arkham Origins is definitely underrated in the series.

Berlin, this game series is absolutely phenomenal. My personal favorite is the most recent one Arkham Knight cuz it dives into some characters I absolutely adore.
I finished the sequel to Arkham asylum but haven’t touched the other games much, but I’d say this series really is one of the gaming legends that everyone should experience

It’s really great! If you haven’t already the sequels are even better especially Arkham City! And people don’t talk about it much because it was made by a different studio but Arkham Origins is amazing as well and has some of the best boss battles.

I’ve played every single Arkham game and this one is still one the most memorable ones. It absolutely heats up. You can try to predict how the story progresses, but it’s the Joker….there’s always a twist 😈

Some questions you had that I wanted to answer: No Batman doesn’t kill. That’s why Joker said he was getting predictable. If he threw the batarang Joker would’ve fallen and died. And yes he has had a thing with Harley Quinn in a comic. In that specific comic they are married. Also, Batgirl and Batman never had an actual canon sexual relationship. That was almost exclusively to that movie you watched, Batman: The Killing Joke, it didn’t even happen in the comics the movie was adapting. The games also get progressively better. The game also does get better.
