Darragh Hourrides is quite stunning and she draws favourable attention as she dances 'Kitri' ❤❤❤. Ruan Galdino . . . very impressive with his smooth movements and turns ❤❤😊. We will definitely see more and more of Hourrides and Galdino on stage, now and into the future. We love those gorgeous 'corps de ballet' members, too ❤❤. Joburg Ballet's Hourrides and Galdino and definitely the entire Joburg dance troupe are feeling joyous ❤❤❤😊 . . I say, the people watching them are filled with excitement as the dancers took the stage ❤❤❤❤❤ !
This is a fabulous reminder that there is a remarkable abundance of active companies throughout the world bringing the love of Ballet to countries not identified as "Ballet Palaces" in the artform.
Even Russia, the cradle of Ballet, has companies like this not in the stratosphere of fame.
So, what I see here in this promo video is a very disciplinary presentation of the famous Don Quijote.
The framework, the mostly traditional design, is there and ready to take the next steps upgrade towards abandon magic.
This is truly a very ideal sample of what the great coach Elena KUNIKOVA specializes in... The fluid interpretation polish in performance nuances. She works with results.
The PRIZE here in this Kitri is a near Diamantine Dulcinea where she feels total comfort and joy. She commands here. She's beautiful.
These monumental roles are insouciance and playful dynamics of character. They are on their way towards that.

Obrigada for highlighting Ruan Galdino (a fellow Carioca - someone who’s born in the city of Rio de Janeiro like us!). His name is pronounced Huan - the R in the beginning of a word in Portuguese has the H sound. It’s beautiful to see such diversity in Ballet

That was fun to watch. Both danced the roles very well, giving their characters verve and excitement. Mr. Galdino's turns were fast and powerful, a pleasure to watch.
Where is Ms. Hourrides dancing now? I would like to learn more about her and what I found in a search returned 404 errors, page not found and her Instagram account just listed her as a professional dancer.

❤Stranissimo, ma molto divertente, molto personale e distante dalle solite catalogazioni, si nota un trattamento della musica insolito da parte dell'orchestra, che rallenta tantissimo nella parte che di solito è più veloce, e velocizza le parti lente, molto interessante. Dà proprio il senso di una visione diversa e sentita in modo originale.
It is... ... a different Don Quixote.
