    Just installed an M4 GP slip on on my 14 Gixxer 750 after watching your video. Although the install was pretty straight forward, watching your video prior to was helpful. Sound and looks are much improved. Thanks for the video.

    Good vid bro. LITERALLY 12 minutes to install. Only difference was mine didn't have that plastic piece on the stock heat shield. I took it a step further and got the M4 carbon fiber shield. Looks bad ass (got the 2011 ALL black 750). Nothing but praises since putting on
    Also took out the baffle, HOLY HELL!!!! Before I rode with ear plugs because of wind noise, NOW it's muffler.
    Again, thanks and ride safe

    Good video. Got the 2014 for Fathers day and got the sane M4 exhaust.
    Did the same thing you did (except scratch the inside of the M4 ;))
    The sound was better then with the stock pipe I would say maybe 50% better or so.
    But I took it one step further and cut the cat and bought a mid pipe from MJS for the M4. I installed that and the bike sounds amazing now! Even getter then my 07 1000 with the cat cut and M4! The power picked up too!
    Im telling you do the cat cut. you wont regret it. Its easy fun and youll love it.
    just take your time with the cut.

    I put one on my 2012 GSXR600... I DEFINITELY notice a loss of power in the higher RPM range. I know people are going to say I'm imagining it but I've switched the stock and M4 back and forth on the same day, rode the same roads..... less power.

    • @stevenfaatz1611

      Andrew Hosking Have you done anything to change your fuel to air ratio? Sometimes when you change the exhaust and therefore how much air is coming out of it, it messes with the way the bike is supposed to run. That's why a lot of people install a power commander before changing the exhaust or air filter.

    Also, if you want even more sound, you might be able to find a pipe to eliminate the "Catalytic Converter". Coincidentally, your bike will lose a few pounds, thereby adding performance.

    Hello guys...i have exactly the same motorcycle and i bought this exhaust....my doubt is, baffle in or out?? Some people tell me that with the baffle out the sound is louder but is ugly, with the baffle in the sound is cooler, but less louder....what do u guys think?? Thanks

    • @Gino20202
      @Gino20202 10 років тому

      Makes absolutely no difference if you have the slip-on. It'll sound the same as stock because the catalytic converter is still on there suppressing the sound. If you have a full system, I'd take the baffle out.

    • @Elevi8Crew
      @Elevi8Crew  10 років тому +1

  • @Gino20202
    @Gino20202 10 років тому

    Sounds exactly the same as stock which is no surprise because you didn't get rid of the cat. You need a full system for difference in hp OR sound. Slip-ons for bike that still have the cat are a complete waste of money. The only thing it changes is aesthetics.

    • @Elevi8Crew
      @Elevi8Crew  10 років тому +6

      Your completely wrong. A slip on exhaust (muffler) is STRICTLY for sound and of course also aesthetics. There is simply no way you can say it sounds exactly the same with a different slip on when comparing it to the stock canister. Once you remove the cat and have it properly tuned there will be a bigger difference in sound and hp obviously. By the way most slip ons for Suzuki still keep the cat inplace. Which is why there called slip ons and not half systems or full systems

  • @DjDadeo
    @DjDadeo 8 років тому

    when u cut the cat you will get the sound be be a bit deeper sounding.

    • @DjDadeo

      But at the cost of a really bad smell and an extra $150 or so for the mid pipe. Might just want to leave it.
