Puppy Toller on his first big walk - Styx 3 months old

It was a joy to take puppy Styx on his first real walk and to go on a walk with two Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers! Finally it was time to take Styx on his first ‘big’ walk when he was about 3,5 months old. We waited till he had all his puppy vaccinations and took him to one of Loki’s favorite places! He stole many hearts on his first heart because he was an adorable puppy and like always a lot of people asked what dog breed he was. Many people don’t know the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever here in the Netherlands.
The place we took him is called ‘de Berendonck’ and it has a large lake with lawns, forests and beaches. Dogs are allowed from October 1 till April 30. It’s a safe environment without cars and most dogs are very friendly and off leash! We prefer places where dogs walk off leash because that’s always better (in our opinion).
He met at least 20 different dogs, big, small, barking and not barking and he was kind to all of them and also tried to play with some of them. Of course he stayed close to Loki which was very cute to see. Loki also stayed closer to us as normal and didn’t run as fast as normal, as if he knew Styx wasn’t that fast and wanted to stay close to him. It was the first time they could play like this and Styx totally loved it!
Of course it was also Loki his first walk with his little bro. He had to get used to it. That little rebbel followed him everywhere and Loki prefers some space for himself haha. Styx also stole his ball a few times but Loki didn’t care about it. Styx was very tired after the walk and slept all the way home.
