When he push his right arm forward he breaks and backwards he accelerates. Pushing right elbow out from his body he gear up and in towards the body he gear down. When he rotate right hand left towards his leg he use the clutch and if he turn it even more he use the handbreak :) Mats Öhman is a former Snowcross champion in both Europe and Sweden but in 1998 he was involved in a accident in st petersburg and broke his back and became paralyzed he only have 50 percent strength in the arms and no movement in the fingers.
If you look closely, the support closest to his elbow seems to be the gear-change when flicked left and right, while the whole lot forward and back is throttle and brake (obviously) and at 0:52 he tilts the lever over to the left for handbrake. Absolutely awesome and inspirational. And I should know, I am disabled too, although not to this extent.
That left side control must be a complicated bit of kit! He must be braking, accelerating and gear changing all with the same lever and whilst never taking his hand off the lever. Amazing!
