@@joshuepico75 Yeah, that's kind of how I feel about it now too. I don't think we will ever truly know how she's doing unless she comes out and says she's doing poorly. She's too good an actress for us to be able to tell if she's being honest about it when she says she's doing well. I don't need to know how she's doing, its not my business, but I do hope that she has an outlet so things never get that bad again.

Thankfully her writing is how she processes things and she said she never writes about someone unless she's truly done with them. The album was made over the last two years, I think she's worked through it all now, as she says in The Manuscript, the story isn't hers anymore ❤
I’m sure you’ve heard Taylor’s comments about this before but when writing songs she ALWAYS wants to make certain that they will sound good stripped down.

@@GOTGames Please please! It is actually outstanding. Better Man was a song that was originally written for her Red album, but got cut. Later on she gave it to Little Big Town. That Bluebird Cafe performance is the only taste we got of it from her until she added Better Man as a vault track on Red (Taylor's Version)!

The Paris concert was a promo for the new (then) Lover album; it was billed as City of Lover. It was held in the Olympic Theatre in Paris, an historic venue renovated for modern shows, mostly plays and concerts. It only seats 3000 people; it was before she really set out the staging and choreography for the Loverfest (what the official tour was supposed to be). It was a full concert; these songs were from the new album, but she did a lot of her older stuff too ; when she put up the concert film, she was legally barred from including the older music; Big Machine Records still had a lock on recorded music, and they wouldn't sign off on the older music being broadcast or streamed (she didn't start her rerecordings until 2021). The concert film was put on Disney+ in March when she cancelled the tour; she took it down the day before they released folklore (on no notice at all). I wish she'd leave the older concert films up; even if BMR/Borchetta has a stake, she has one too; and she'll never be exactly the same age, or the same look. Maybe someday they'll sell it to her.
I miss Rep tour on Netflcks too.

It was the beginning of the Lover world tour, lockdown happening right in the middle forced her to cancel the whole tour. Since she didn’t get to tour and share her creativity during lockdown, she made Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, Long Pond Studio Sessions, and TTPD (behind the scenes of course for TTPD). ❤️👏🙌💯 just since 2020!!!

Five years ago on the Lover album she had beautiful Love Song written about Joe Alwyn called Daylight. The lyric there said “Clearing the air, I breathed in the smoke”

The whole "City of Lover" special is on YT (41 minutes), just not on Taylor's channel. It has all 8 songs with the visuals but also the small introductions she does before each song talking about them.
She has done multiple appearances on the late night shows Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers. My favorite is when she had to name as many cats as possible in 60 seconds, when she played Guess The Song with Jimmy Fallon, when she played truth or lie with Jimmy Fallon…she has done SNL a couple times too.
For next week… I would love to see the visuals too. I looked it up and I found a 40 min video with all the songs with visuals.
I'm so glad you're doing these!!❤ I honestly feel that the acoustic songs she does here are some of her best vocal performances (before the eras tour). You could also do some more of her interviews if you want. She's always very nice (of course) and usually very honest, but she's also a master at avoiding invasive/rude questions😂(Rightly so)

This version of Cornelia Street is one I'd requested you to do a long time ago - so glad you finally got to hear it!!! 🙂 I just love her sense of place...connecting a relationship to the apartment she was renting when they first met. Of course, that's all over now, but I still love the song!
