" I'm standing on my own but now I'm not alone " is supposed to be the lyric for Tony, " no way to go back " being Thor and the fact that he was briefly being prevented from going back to Asgard in the first season
"Lost from when we wake" and "tormented and attacked" both fit cap and hulk pretty obviously. Although I always thought" too small to turn the tide" was wasp and" to face these fears and win "was Hank referring to his fears and regrets after creating Ultron.. I agree that "too stubborn to give in " is black panther and " pushed by pain and pride" makes sense for Hawkeye . I think the" there's no one left to trust lyrics" probably referred to the secret invasion plotline. The first verse is easier to decipher due to having the visuals to help.
@@maskedcrusaderings That's pretty cool. That was a running theme during the Bob Layton days of the comic. Tony did not want to rely on others(Bethany Cabe, Rhodey), taking all the punishment/responsibility on his own like a stoic medieval knight. In the end he realized he did need help while fighting alcoholism. Absolutely loved those comic runs with highlights of fighting Doctor Doom back in King Arthur's day and knocking out the Hulk then getting frozen in his armor.
I didn't even know about the extra verses until someone mentioned it on one of the songs. Thank you for putting them to music and giving them the attention they deserve.

This is definitely my favorite version of the song, before I heard this I thought Downstrait's version was the best one. But the fact yours has the cut second verse and you sing it with such passion, definitely makes you stand out among the crowd and makes a great cover. Yeah there very well could be, but I think two verses with a guitar solo leaves a bit more room to breathe and allows the music to tell the story alongside the lyrics
