Thanks! I had quite a bit of trouble, my Coura kept melting. I switched Shirayuki with Eyja and Meteor with S3 Angelina (same spots) to DPS them down before she got flattened in other tries. If someone's looking for a useful friend unit, I think Angelina was most valuable as she changed the pace of their arrival and they arrived half dead too - the golems got beat up there quite well too
Box missions like these drive me crazy! Wasted an entire day trying this mission without relying on guides first but I gave up in the end. Not only was I able to craft a modified version where I was able to isolate the golems; but also the same strat worked perfectly even in Challenge mode. Really appreciate this!

I see the enemies are unable to walk across the grate lol. Though serves them right, if our shifters are unable to push/pull enemies over the 2 inch barrier on the Obsidian Festival pier. Edit: This stage is ridiculous. Borrowed S3 nightingale saved Gummy in the first half wave! Nightingale is one of those support units that you almost never need to use, but when you need her it helps so much.
I'm rushing through the EX stages cz last week I've got shizloads of assignments from school, and have been stressing out with this stage for approximately 2 hours. Hate to say it, but if you don't build ur Matterhorn like I did and don't have E2 high level defenders, then don't expect to get through this one. I replaced spot with Nearl and Matterhorn with E2lv40 Gummy, replaced Kroos with Exu skill3 M1, Fang with Myrtle and Vanilla with Siege, lastly Shira with Meteorite. Without Matterhorn, I had to kill the enemies as fast as possible with both Meteorite and Exu, delay the kamikaze enemies with Gravel cz if they ever group up then I'm dead. Myrtle is my MVP for this stage, cz I had to quickly gain tons of DP due to how much my squad costs. Had to readjust some positionings as well, but managed to beat it in the end. Man, this stage gave me some problems, your Matterhorn must have high Trust because mine would die way too soon against the exploding mages. Great video man!
Since my Sassuro are flat E1 and Matterhorn E1 15, which not enough obviously, all tank job laid at shoulders of Saria e1 70, circled with Ptilopsis on "Enkephalin", Myrtle with "Healing Wings" on and Gavial with first skill. It was close enough to suvive explosions of kamikaze priests ) Also i change Shirayuki with Ifrit e1 74 and it worked well. I used yours pattern with some adjustment: replased Vanilla to Myrtle, Sassuro - Ifrit, Shirayuki - Ptilopsis, Meteor - GreyThroat, Matterhon - Saria. And at the start deployed differently: Fang - block - Grey - Kroos - Ptilopsis to save Fang - Myrtle - Saria - block - block - the rest without changes. It was difficult level for me, got stuck on it for coule of days. So, Thanks ))
This Stage was perfect for my 4* sniper Iffy. (As for the Meteor replacement keep in mind that you can also place fluffy tails since this is the rare occasion where her range isn t a problem. Crosbow cat will work too. Also E2 Nearl or Saria are probably the best Matterhorn replacements, both have 10 resistance at E2)

I put angelina E2 in the top right to slow down the Suicide bombers. Last time I almost made it but the golem had like 4% Hp Left lol Also wasted like 2 OP trying to get nightingale to E1 and level 7 skills 🤣 I doubt I'll be able to do the challenge mode, lol
That matterhorn sure is thick defense. If he didn't have that resist stats and more resist from skill 2 maybe he won't be much use. I guess he is on par with cuora but only in high arts damage situation.
@@Eckogen i try use hoshi and cuora with shirayuki replace with ifrit and it is disaster due to dp cost and despite i use nightiangle to cover resist it's still not enough. And when i use mr pantaloon guude it's really hard than i expected. The timing to deploy the block early really strict. A little late and it's all over. I'm stuck. I try borrow elite 2 eyjaf but my only elite 2 unite is myrtle ( this is 1 month and 3 day play ) and using myrtle kind of risky in this event. Maybe i try to use shaw. For extra time dealing with the self explode enemies. Regardless of that, you, pantaloon, and kyo really help a lot of player. Thanks a lot
Well, shit. Here I am having never built Matterhorn... Is there some kind of RNG element to this? Because my Fang keeps dying at random times. Sometimes right after I get Vanilla out, sometimes just before I get Shira out. Meanwhile my timing has been near identical each time.
@@Eckogen Fang is at 200%. Interestingly enough, the one with the lowest trust, Myrtle (swapped Vanilla eventually to get a DP boost) had the highest survival rate. I think it's got something to do with my Kroos and not having Matterhorn.

My units just don't kill the enemies fast enough, for some reason.. The wolves get by and attack spot(which is bad because it means redirecting heals and attacks), and the second blood magister stays alive long enough to still be there with the third when Matterhorn's skill expires. :( Not sure what I'm doin wrong.. All my units are 100%+ trust with skill 7 except matterhorn himself, who has lower trust but also skill 7...all are max potential. Tried to get the timing as close as possible to the vid with little luck after 8~ tries.
@@Eckogen Yep! Same skill too, and level 7. Sussuro, Gavial, +Spot(And ansel, but i havent got that far without failing yet). Healing wise I manage, but, the enemies get through for some reason that I can't discern- And once they start hitting spot, whenever matterhorn is healed to full, the medics target spot to heal instead of waiting to heal matterhorn again. (Using Shirayuki, Kroos and Meteor in the same spots, placed as close to the same timing as I could get it...All at 100-200% trust with skill 7.) I'm really baffled about it. Going to have to try and squeeze in some of my better operators I guess but my tentative attempts at mixing in Platinum and Myrtle didn't go over well with the timing of everything else.
@@KazanaAoi Replace my Vanilla's spot with your Myrtle or put her back 1 tile further. You could try an AOE Caster instead of Shira if using Myrtle and see how it goes.

Ended up exchanging Fang/Vanilla for Courier/Myrtle with their skill 1s to maximize DP regen, Spot for Nearl using skill 2, and Shirayuki for my E2 30 Mostima w/ skill 3(All E1 max except Mostima who is E2 30, w/ 100%+ trust; Nearl and Mostima don't have any potential unlocked.). Mostima had to be placed a tile forward from Shirayuki's spot which put her in the blast radius of the exploders, but she had enough HP to barely survive and with the additional healing power from Nearl I managed to make it through that part thanks to the fairly powerful DPS afforded by Mostima's skill 3. Thanks for the tips. :)
Doing exact operators? If you have more fire power it would help since Matterhorn can only tank so much. Also stagger your heals like I did with delayed Spot healing.
@@consciouslasagne354 Just make sure you keep a lot of healing on Saria. I don't know what level you have her at, but don't forget the Magisters deal Arts damage, so they will cut through defense.

How did you keep Matterhorn alive long enough to even deploy Gavial on him? Those shaman dudes straight up slaughter him.
The Medics do their part and then extra healing from Spot, but slightly delayed. Don't activate all heals on him at once. Stagger it.
