“This is what happens when there are too many surfers and not enough waves”
TAke Me BaCK to ThE swEET tImES!
"The surf gods have blessed Bondi."
So Jethro, otherwise known as surf Jesus.
I know it's a bit early for Jethro.
BABY IN THE SUMMERTIME THAT IS WHERE ILL BE!!!

People in 2020 are jealous
I swear that song is like the gates of heaven opening
ReaperLeviathan 6758 HAHAHAH THATS ME ALL THE TIMEEEEE BROOOO JAHHAHAAHAHHAHAHHAHAH😂😂😂😂😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣IM DEADDDDDDDD
Really love how ppl r all like '16 degrees! That would be warm for me!'
Ummm... your forgetting that the air temperature was 40+ at the time, which means sand temperature would be 50+.
So going from 50 degree sand straight into 16 degree water would have been like jumping into an ice lake......
Think about it
THANK YOU
I would gladly freeze then deal with heat (to be honest with my autism I don’t deal with heat very well at all)
Jewelle Dwight I know right people so dumb
Doggie Lover657 umm.. that’s rude they made a mistake have you made a mistake in your like? Exactly.
Life*
I remember visiting Sydney in their "Winter" it was 18 degrees and people were wearing scarfs and earmuffs! I was walking in my t-shirt and people kept asking me if I wasn't freezing. Uhm 18 degrees is Spring/Summer over here in The Netherlands, so no I wasn't freezing, I thought it was lovely weather :)
Hahaha idd :)
ellen3131 I live in the Netherlands as well and I could not agree more and I'm going to Australia at Christmassy!
I'm from Northern Germany so at 18°C I'll be walking outside in shorts and T-shirt. But honestly in 40°C I wouldn't last very long even 28-30°C is uncomfortably hot for me. Once on vaycay we got hit with a 48-50°C desert storm and it was soooo terrible😫😂
Hahaha same here in Wales UK lol
ellen3131 yeh until you experience 47 degrees like 1 month ago, you would even come out 😂😂
That temperature is legit warm for British people 😂
SimplyElls and 40 degrees would wipe the british population from the face of the earth lol
And Irish
INIT 10 degrees is hot for me
Yep
eqllie 40 degrees would kill us like hell considering the Denis storm and ceira storm what’s just happened
16 degree in the water that is a summer in Vancouver Canada
I was thinking the same thing. Like, this is frigid!? Are you kidding?!
Emma Evelyn Pop me too
I live in Vancouver as well!!☺️☺️
Linda Chen But you’re not swimming a 2 km race in 16 degrees water are you?
But they’re not from or in Vancouver, now are they?
16 degrees?? That's an Irish summer!! Bless em!!
Thats a good irish summer
It would be really hot for us in Ireland
Cara McManus true
Ye even 6 or 7 degrees isn’t considered cold here lol
Lol 16 degrees for me Australia is freezing
Omg 16 degree water I'm from Ireland and that would burn us😂
Come to auzzie then its usually 30-40c here
😂😂😂
That's so true haha
Same in England
I was about to say 16 degrees and they all freak out and complain and say they have hypothermia when 16 degrees here is hot and people go to the beach here and swim happily in 16 degreees 😂
It’s 01:00 in the morning and I can’t get enough of this
Heat stroke on land and hypothermia in the sea 😂
Olivia Campton no where is safe..
God this deserves more likes😂😂😂
Kasdoo Online lol
Olivia Campton that’s crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂😂
So true no where is safe anymore also ik im do late
SO FOR ALL NON AUSTRALIANS IT WORKS REVERSE HERE so do not be shocked cus Australia does go up to 40-50° most summers so when it gets below 20° it is shockingly cold. Which is the opposite to northern hemisphere countries.
Up where u guys are it goes into the negatives so much that like Australians you are used to the weather. So that’s why 16° is hot for you and 20° is freezing to us. Just adaption at work. Rip that poor Russian girl going from -30° to 40° must have been definitely shocked her system,
LadyAdalicia 16 degrees is not that hot actually
Just retarded ppl. Who never studied about equator. Northern or southern hemisphere. Meh. And sit there in their countries which they probably never left or travelled abroad and judge... Oh wow... It is warm for us... woah... yeah do u know that our winter is your summer? Stupidity in its prime
i couldn't agree more.
I went to a Sydney in January and it was surprisingly cold in the evenings at 25 (bear in mind I’m from uk and that’s normally a heatwave) especially when you’ve been in 40 all day it’s bloody cold
12:34
"Not everyone's seeing eye to eye-"
Me: Well Chris definitely isn't
The waters pretty much that temp in England all summer 😂
Haha yas my fellow England friend
TRUE!!
Amber G Same here in Canada😂
Amber G all year !
not even in the water Xxd
Lesson: wear motorcycle helmet when surfing
I wonder how that will turn out
I just realized they are counting in Celsius
Lilah Labert lol same
Lilah Labert I was going to say 47 degrees Fahrenheit is freezing for America where I live in the summer
Paige Teesdale where I live 47 degrees is super warm (I live in Minnesota btw)
It's so funny reading all the comments from people in Ireland and Canada because there all like 16 degrees is a summer for me, and I'm sitting here like 16 FREAKING DEGREES IS SUMMER FOR YOU, WOW I COULD NEVER LIVE IN YOUR COUNTRY
Rosie Life in Germany the winter can get to -20 and more and in the summer 20 degrees up
Not where I live in Canada 🇨🇦🙂It's pleasant at 9-12°C right now at end of December. West Coast ✌️
Bruh I live in Ireland that’s like a hot tub for us
Nah Canadian summers are 25+
I live in Canada and our summers are usually up to 30 degrees
I have 3 dogs and I know when it's hot in America because they sprint back in lol🤣😂🐶
Let me translate it imagine you are in an oven then jump into a freezer that's how they feel?
It makes you feel like the water is more colder than what it actually is.
Exactly... all these people commenting how 16°C isn't cold, they are forgetting it was like 40°C+ on land and then had to dive straight into water that is 16°... yes it's a shock to the system and ya muscles freeze up.. it's horrible
We actually do something like that in Finland, it's called "ice swimming" (avantouinti). You go into almost 0°C water, often straight from a 70-100°C sauna. It's said to have health benefits, though it may not be recommended for someone who is suffering from heart problems for example.
I wouldn't feel anything because I'd die in an oven (I get the point but I had to say this)
Love the way u all save anybody it doesn't matter who
Love u all 😘😘😘
I worked the Port Macquarie Iron Man Triathlon this year and we had a 6 degree weekend, over 1600 athletes and at least a third of them had some level of hypothermia. We spent 10 hours straight working post-event massage, so I understand what these guys are going through.
One time I almost drowned and the lifeguards saved me
Lol New Zealanders and Australians have the best humour and slang
16C in the water. A lovely sea temperature down here in Port Philip Bay, Melbourne. We don't put the wetsuits on till about 12C!
I put mine on at about 20 oof
I want to visit Bondi one day, just to see the lifeguards saving lives=))
R u mad the English water beaches r like 8 degrees I mean come on;
Also England's average temperature is like 15-20 degrees in the summer!!
The Lucketts it’s not like every person here is a wuss
The Lucketts but in Australia we aren’t use to the cold water our norm is warmer makes scence that we think it’s cool like people from uk say 25 degrees is soo hot like a heat wave or something 25 is nice for Aus 40 is hot for us
I'm so confused because I'm from America and we use Fahrenheit. So hot for us is like 110° 😂😂
Hallie Hansen thats roughly around 43°C in the Uk 😁
It’s different when Australia is 40 degrees in the summer
My grandfather died of heat stroke when he was just 26 years old...
arianefr78 sorry to hear that
Where was he?
People are saying 16 degrees is not even cold. But it is cold in Australia I mean did you not see the newspaper in the video it said one day might reach 47 degrees. Heck it’s going to be 38 degrees in a couple of days
4:27 did anyone see how the patient and her dad are walking exactly the same?
I remember that 47 degree day that they're talking about on here, I was motorbike riding and looked like I had been to the beach
An Australian Bush Man same I was fanging around on my ktm 2 stroke and I nearly snapped my neck over a jump
Story time!!!
So, one of my close friends got super burnt one day because she was out in the hot ass Australian heat, and she came to school the next day perfectly fine in the morning, then the period before lunch (we had history) she was completely out of it, she fell off her chair and then started laughing and wouldn't stop. We went to the library at lunch as always (it's like a social hub up there lol) and she collapsed out the front of it while we were eating, she was perfectly awake and laughing her head off. Me and one of our friends had to essentially pick her up and drag her into the library and we went and sat down where we usually do, and she was laughing even more, she freaked out whenever someone touched her and then one of the teacher told us to 'shhhh' so every time someone spoke she would go 'SHHHHHH!!!' And then laugh again. So, me and someone else (a friend) took her to sick bay, which mind you was down 3 flights of stairs because our library is on the 3rd story of our school, and she couldn't walk at all. We went to take her down the stairs but instead of going down them normally, she put her leg out straight and lent forward and pulled all three of us down the stairs, so we sat there for a good 10 minutes while we were trying to calm her down, mind you she was still laughing and saying 'shhhh'. A guy in year 12 asked us if we needed help as well we were struggling that much lol. Anyway, we got her up eventually and we had a teacher call the main office/sick bay and we took her down the stairs and then walked her through the corridors to sick bay. When she got there a teacher was talking to us and then my friend that was loopy shooshed her😂 anyway, she went home and her parents took her to hospital, they gave her fluids and turns out she was severely dehydrated and had pretty bad heatstroke. She's okay now and doesn't remember anything from 12:00pm onwards that day (this did happen like 3 months ago). Now we all call her heatstroke😂 so yeah, good times
Watching frm the states 🇺🇸 love bondi rescue been once n met kerrbox Aussies rock!!!!🇦🇺

Give a like for the lifeguards
Is this show still going now? Also, thanks for uploading. I've found my new quarantine addiction
It is still going :)
People who keep saying oh this is summer in Europe (16 degrees) well we are legit a desert and our temperature is 40 degrees
I'm proud to call Australia home :)
Same 🙋 sure the weather is unbearable at times but it's home so it's sort of okay.
I’m going to swim today. I’m kind of happy it’s in a regular pool.
All these English people saying 16 degrees is summer here but it’s not really, it’s normally around 18-20 degrees but it’s can be up to 34 degrees. 16 degree water does feel cold especially when it’s nearly 50 out.
It’s only cold to them because their all so used to the warm ocean water 🤷♀️
Where I am in Canada, our lakes are colder than that and I find it warm✌️
L Co No it’s essentially that the water temp and sand temp are complete opposites so people going in and out of the water are putting their bodies through shock... Also bc us Aussies are used to higher temperatures than those in the northern hemisphere annnnd when the sand temp was probs in the 50c range, the water would be freezing in contrast::
Hope none of this is offensive it’s just an opinion... It’s all about context ;)
47° C?! In my country, where I lived, the temperature reaches 53°C in January and February. Nobody are brave enough to leave the house when it is that hot. A great thing about my country the beach waters is always warm.
Does the beach remind anyone of where’s Waldo? Lol 😂
Pure strangeness nice!
I’m watching this now and it’s making me think about how bad it is now
Emma Johnston wdym?

Lifegaurd: can you call a ambulance
Editor: welcome back to the sweet times
Me: perfect timing
I had a heat stroke in Turkey once and I was in the air parasailing.. My mom would not listen to how sick and dizzy I was feeling.. My vision was close to gone and I collapsed when I was back on the beach.. they just put me under a beach umbrella, I was crying and my mom and father in law wanted to leave the beach.. I couldn't move but everyone there kept telling me to listen to my mom and that I was just tired.. most powerless moment in my life.
5:21 guy needs some chap stick🤣🤣
Michael West it’s zinc it’s a sunscreen for him to stop maxi’s lips cracking
How come the lifeguards never look red & sweaty 🥵 in that crazy weather

“Leaving mad dogs and englishmen left out in the sun” - should i be offended as i am an english WOMEN 😂😂😂😂
The highest temperature I've experienced was 37°! 😂😅 But I live in Germany. 😊 In Bondi, I could only stand it on cooler days. I am almost never cold, but already at 20° in the sun too warm! 😫😊
I already like this page...bondi rescue....i always sleep 1am just to watch this...im from the philippines...why dont come here in our country and visit our beautiful beaches....

Who else is watching like 9 years later?!?🤣🤣🤣
Nom nom eating a delicious meal with bondi rescue on ^ ^
16 degrees? cold? oh my sweet summer child
+MegaUltraChicken1000
Also for you: the *WATER* is 16°C! Not the air. 16°C causes hypothermia, so don't tell me it's not cold...
+dXb Thats summer sea temp for where i live :P and my (slightly crazy) family used to swim on new years day
Alana but ure used to it u grow up in norm of 16 we dont our norm is 20 to 25

It's sunscreen for lips
Zinc, duh
joeyloey73 spf for his lips to keep them kissably soft ;) xD
It's sun cream
He puts zinc on his lips so that they don't dry out and start to peel
16 degrees is insanely warm for Wales. I would literally melt in that
I go o bondi and it’s great I’m Australian and live in Australia I saw the lifeguards before but I surf and I’m aware of the dangers! So I never got rescued! Omg 47 degrees I loved that day I remember it’s soooooo hot omg
16 degrees is a summer for us in London!
Dog_Lover631 987 Sydney gets very very very cold in the winter it snow like crazy
The water is like 9 here and that warm!
niamh Daly do u wear wet suits coz 16 causes hypothermia
I love your videos on bondi
For any Americans 40 Celsius is over 100 Fahrenheit and the water is 60 degrees Fahrenheit so it’s a huge temperature change
for us Americans 47 is 117 and 16 is 60
+HangmanG
Yes, we know the American bigheaded exceptionalism... But every other country on this planet use the metric system, exept of the you, Lybia and Burma.
The imperial system is a dacaying cadaver and belongs on the rubbish heap of history.
HangmanG agreed 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
HangmanG Celsius and Fahrenheit .
@@dxb8086 Liberia..not Libya.
Really making me not want to go surfing ever
Walking at the beach in summer: ow ow ow
Damm mate over here in new Zealand some of our surf clubs are permanently stuck on like 15 degrees, I honestly wish I was at Bondi saving life there than over here
lots of people have little or no ounce of common sense in them. in temperatures like that you need to stay indoors!
In Ireland a very hot dat is 25-9 degrees haha
In my town in Ireland 21 is very hot
Aisling Hehirfitz da fuq why is everyone from Ireland
Okay, I don't feel so bad now... I think I've watched each one several times, too! lol
That was probs the same temperature that a swimming pool was at a swimming gala I went to it was bloody freezing 😂
Eating food and that preview of the lady gash 😳
WhiteTiger Gaming lol
It's funny how all the English people are like "oh you Australians are wimps. It's on 16 degrees" like how about you guys come down here to Australia and try to get through a 35-40 degree day. You guys collapse and turn on the AC the moment it reaches 20 degrees over there. I went there last year for a month and it is freezing in in the summer. That's why there's a lot of English people that don't know to swim or get out of a rip because it's always too bloody cold to get in the water.
C .D I’m Scottish and I can swim amazingly
C .D we don’t have AC in houses in England, we don’t really have a way to cool down apart from stand infront of a fan all day 😂 oh and a lot of us can swim
Or too cold to use their brains???
@@bananapeel7564 lie. Aussie swim way better than Brits. Esp the ones who have never seen rips lol
Lydia Milner shut your mouth bitchhhh
You make me feel better when I feel sick
Hahaha, I hear you. I am stuck in this endless loop of watching season after season....
Wales summer is probably 17-20 degrees
It was only just spring and it was 26 degrees and now it's like 7
Anyone in 2019
For the people who are saying 16 degrees is nothing, you have to keep in mind Australians are used to fucking hot weather so from being in the hot sun to the cold water isn't the best feeling.
I love bondi 🌊 beach
16 is considered hot in the uk
Are you talking about air temperature or water temperature? These swimmers were going from an air temperature like a sauna (ie: 40C/104F) into a water temperature an ice box (16C/60F). That's why some got hypothermia - ie: the shock to the body due to the extreme change in core body temperature
It’s roasting now
dixonhpboosh yea lol
Not in the USA,that's consider pretty cold
16,3? Come to Sweden, 20 is like the warmest here so...
Madelen Karlsson svarar 4 år senare haha men det är sant!!
Madelen Karlsson svarar 5 år senare men nej vi hade föfan 25 i somras
I love how this is the normal temperature for most of the waters near north Europe
I see a lot of kids, I mean under 5yrs on the beach without hats on. That’s crazy in that heat. ☀️☀️
troy at 10:06 aww bae hahaha
I love maxi I really do but it looks like he’s been eating cocaine 😂😂😂
