I'm use to Kratos being quick with his kills. Magni gets an axe to the face, Baldur gets his neck snapped. But Heimdalls slow strangulation was unsettling. They even made the controller vibrate to the sync of his heartbeat. Which slows down until it stops completely. Unlike any other kill in the series
Kratos definitely went back in time a bit for that one. That was the ghost of Sparta slipping through the mask. I was impressed that he was able to control himself afterwards.

Of all them, Odin deserved the young Kratos treatment the most. At least with the Greek pantheon you can say they were influenced by Pandora’s Box or they were simply trying to defend Olympus. Odin is just straight up evil. You know it’s bad when Kratos and Atreus felt the LEAST of it. Look at what he did to people like Freya, Thor and the most of the rest of his family, the Giants, the Valkyries, and especially those like Mimir and the ravens. His death was too good for him honestly
It was spelled out as plain as can be, when he and Thor stopped by their house at the start 1 He's not coming alone (even when he does show up alone, it's not without leverage) pointing towards his cowardice 2 He comments to Thor, "I liked you better when you were a drunk," (paraphrasing, sorry) pointing out how he doesn't want people thinking, he wants tools that will do what he wants without thought. 3 When neither Thor nor Kratos takes a drink, he takes a drink from both, pointing out how he wants it all and he doesn't care who he takes it from. I also have to wonder at Freya's inability to heal Brok. _Freya_ of all people! Odin's not traveling around with a simple dagger. You know that sucker was enchanted to end the life of whoever it hit, wherever it hit them, probably developed after he showed up with Durlin and Kratos threatens him with "the god I once was" Had Brok not ticked Odin off, Kratos would have had it buried in his back before he could summon Ragnarok, to much the same end (a wound enchanted to resist healing)
he is evil according to your perspective. as zeus etc wants to defend Olympus (a selfish desire), he just want to get the answers of life and death to undo Ragnarok (a selfish desire).

I love how final battle against Baldur happens between all alive characters: Kratos, Atreus, Baldur, Freya... Mimir doesn't count, cuz he can't fight. And yet he was in battle, too. So... Yup. Even Tamur is here, even though he's actually dead!
I would say aßßhole but not evil. He just followed Odins every whim while being an aßßhole about it. He could have been a funny and good natured aßßhole kinda type, if he were raised by Mimir or something@@gnm7858
I don't really understand, why Freya didn't revive Baldur. She can do it. I'm certain of that. She revived Mimir's *_HEAD,_* she possess every Asgard magic imaginable, so I don't understand why she didn't revive HIM, if she could revive literal head.
Mirmir actucally addresses this in 2018 as him not being truly alive and his current state isn’t something Freya would want for her own son (which is ironic because I can’t imagine it would be worse than what she actually did to him for over a century)

In all fairness, Heimdall ended up dying way way WAYYYYY too quickly from a strangulation. Without the added benefit of breaking the neck and causing unconsciousness or the addition of something to assist in the total remediation of respiration, a manual strangulation like that would require multiple multiple multiple minutes of extreme physical exertion, and TIME. Knowing how bad it sucks to have someone trying to cut off your air supply, strangulation is the second most horrifying way I could possibly end out with.

Mimir is not alive, he's animated. He repeats it a few times that there is a huge difference and it's not a pleasant state.

After playing God of War Ragnarok and God of War 4, I really thought that Thor was going to go the same way Baldur had.
