A visit to the Big Muskie Bucket in Ohio

  • Nestled among the hills in the Township of Bristol, located about 8 miles Northeast of McConnelsville, Ohio on SR 78 is a huge piece of coal mining history in Ohio and the Muskingum River Power Plant. I had the opportunity to visit it today (February 11, 2023) on a somewhat chilly, but nice day. I present to you my visit in this short video... Enjoy!

    In Noble County some of the chain links are at a fuel depo, so no its not all that remains.

      There is the actual chain still connected to the bucket at the exhibit, as seen in this video. 😉
      The facts stated in this video were taken straight from the “information center” right next to the bucket under the red (or orange) roof 0:08, and it didn’t mention the chains in Noble County, that I saw, but I wouldn’t doubt them being there 😉👍🏻
