My gosh your wall is looking gorgeous and will only get better! I am considering planting creeping phlox along the top of a retaining wall but wondering how green the foliage stays after the blooms are gone? The last Time I had it we lived in an extreme heat location and I found the foliage ended up looking ratty and brown, perhaps too much sun (100 degree days) Now I live in a zone 4 so hoping it will be fine. Thank you so much Brenda🇨🇦
Thank you so much!! I think in zone 4, you would be fine planting the phlox in full sun. Ours can burn on the stones if we have long, hot dry spell, but we are in zone 6/7.
Everything is looking great! You're right about the creeping phlox - I've noticed the same thing when it comes to the vigor of the blue vs. the other colors. The chartreuse foliage of the coral bells is a super nice contrast to everything around them. Looking forward to watching them throughout the summer!
