I was more anxious they would topple at the corners than they were. 81 years old! What a trouper . “This is living !” That is a great testimonial for electric trikes and senior living.
I can see why the 2nd trike better for many seniors. I have ridden many mobility scooters and this would feel much more like them. Especially with the larger seat for support that also gives the illusion of greater stability.
I love this video. The one lady who was so apprehensive in the beginning ended up giggling like a teenager. I am betting she’s going to actually use an e-trike in her future. ❤❤❤🎉
I’m 80 and my sister is 63. I really saw us in these two ladies. It was interesting to see the contrast in the different trikes. Saving this video in my living file. Hmmmm. Thanks all for this information.
Gotta say, I watched this a few months ago, and now that I'm going to be able to buy an electric trike, I'm choosing between a bunch of them and I remembered this test drive, and especially Constance's reactions, which will likely inform my purchase decision. I just wish I could snag a ride up there so I could test drive one.
Truth! I only started watching his content on here about 4 days ago and I love it! I’m planning on getting my first and very own trike tomorrow (6.30.24) with money I made from work. I’m gonna go halfsies with my mom for it :) she pays half and I pay half :)
so cool seeing how they both took to the etrikes, especially the older lady who at first counted herself out and was discouraged. Put the biggest smile on my face once that older lady found one she was comfortable enough to use herself and started havong a blast and also found one she liked being a passenger in!!
I have been looking at e-trikes. I loved this video because they experienced all the fears I have had on a regular trike. It was difficult to get use to after years of riding a regular bike. Thank you testing the different bikes on older adults. I was a little nervous for them falling off! They were so brave and hilarious with the giggles & songs!❤
Bike makers need to put better seats on for seniors. I only buy bikes with longer wider seats, it's impossible to ride on skinny bikes seats as you age. I'm amazed they don't realize this.
My bike was built with quality all through but the seat hurts after riding about 30 minutes the bike is huge bandit pacer, the seat is small too firm.. you’re right!
oh my goodness I was not sure when or what corner turn I was going to have a heart attack lol Really though it was great to see some seniors express themselves and thoughts of what would work for them as far as e-trikes go. It was fun and Im glade they all had fun as well and were all safe at the end.
This presentation was very helpful. I want to purchase an e-bike and the actual test rides by these senior ladies gave me more information than other demos of have watched.
I wish you would take the seat off the simple glide and put it on the rickshaw and put a larger motor in the rear axial, take the bench seat away and put in a larger basket with the nice wire over the top to close, and I will be ordering that one for sure. I am in love with the larger seat. I have enjoyed this video more than all the others; these ladies are just lovely to show all about the trikes.
Those two women did an informative and fun commercial for sixthreezero. They should have gotten the bike of their choice as a gift. I really like the one with the passenger seat but I could never afford to buy it. Very nice trikes!
Constance is a hoot to watch in this video as well as the other lady with her! They’re so funny to watch them ride because their humor is what drives videos like this for me in my opinion as someone who is neurodiverse and is getting her own trike tomorrow :)
*6.30.24 hopefully by the time I update this comment, I would’ve already gotten my trike! I’m so excited ❤ saved up a little bit for it and I’m gonna have my mom pay for half of it and me the other half:)
My father was in his late 80s & bought a trike & managed to roll it over, so he sold it & went to a four wheel which was much safer for him. He used to sit up so straight & tall & definitely never looked safe on it.
Ty and how refreshing to watch and experience through their tests of the different options . As someone with 1 knee issue and recent lymphoma diagnosis, this makes me excited to see my options to keep moving and when needed get that boost yeah!! Also love the basket features , I am thinking for my 1 brother on O2 he can just strap his O2 tank in and go. That would be cool to see a video on that with O2 users or maybe there is a video already . Thanks again great job all!!👍🏼❤🙋♀💪🏼
I don't want a trike that I can't ride home unassisted. Also, it's alarming how they were taking the corners on the inside where a car could be coming they couldn't see. I think the advice to ask other riders their experience is a good plan. Also, I saw a comment saying a trike may feel like it's going to tip over but it can't. I don't think that is correct.
You are very correct. The one with 2 wheels in the front is much more stable than the others. Motorcyclists know that the two wheels in front and one behind is more stable in turns at faster speeds. Also this one allows for leaning into corners which helps.
Love the real people tests. I am looking for a tricycle good for an adult with special needs to test. Whew! $3k for the simple glide. I have been out of the bike game for decades.
The smaller front wheel on 2nd bike makes it turn easier, smaller radius! I like real people testing real bikes! Not everyone will want or like the same one either! My 65 year old neighbor still dies bike marathons races in the desert here! ! I've never been able to ride a 2 wheel bike comfortably ever in all my adult life! I like rickshaw one too but woukd be nice with a seat with a back for driver too! I like back seat for additional goods bought! Could strap on crates. I don't drive now and tedius to walk often to store though it is close and I have a little shopping cart! Or the odd larger item without depending on someone else getting it for you or doing without!
Other e-bike or e-trike reviews make assumptions on the ‘ease of use’, but hand a complete newbie senior their first smart phone and see how ‘easy’ it is. The stability of a car-style seat coupled with a longer, slacker wheelbase was significant. Any new e-trike user is gonna feel awkward with the disconnected feel of the steering as you don’t lean into a turn and sharp turns at even lower speeds feel like the bike wants to go in the direction of the turn and your body doesn’t naturally follow. The best way to get used to it is first look in the direction you want to go and the bike and steering will naturally follow. Having a seat back definitely made Constance feel more connected to the bike rather than feeling like she’d fall to the side. The trike may not tip over but the rider could possibly fall off the seat in a panic turn.
I have MS and vertigo so riding is impossible for me. Last summer we got me a trike but it was a single speed and difficult to ride, the steering was wholly different from what I was used to. Out of these the one that looked the best was the one with the lower seat with the back that Constance liked, it just needs a little basket on the back to put my cane in.
I thought the two would select the bikes that had the lower middle to get on easier. I would have picked it so I could get off and on easier. How does the power work? Batteries? If so how long last and how to charge? I do like the larger seat that is like a chair as my tailbone hurts.
What do you think would be best for someone with messed up Shoulders. The reality is Shoulders are critical for everything. I used to ride bikes pretty regularly. But I think untreated calcific Tendonitis rained on my riding parade. I actually had a heart transplant 24 years ago and looking for the perfect ebike. Exercise is critical for the heart.
I am interested in the reverse trike but when I called your company I couldn’t reach a rep who could advise. I am apprehensive about buying without trying especially with so few reviews. Interested to get your thoughts.
@@sixthreezero My main concern is the stability of the bike. I have been an avid lifelong cyclist and my most recent bike is an e-bike. I took a bad spill and at 74 I want to play it safe but not keen on big heavy trike. I have heard that your reverse trike is not significantly more stable than a bicycle. I like your reverse trike because it can be transported in a car and because it seems more like a bicycle. But without trying it, I would like more objective information about the stability. I would also add that I want to pedal my cycle. I don’t want to just sit and move around with a throttle. I only want pedal assist only when I need it and speed is not a factor.

Here's my story in 2019 November I lost my left leg..... I never wanted a wheelchair or an electric wheelchair.. I was sitting there thinking and researching e-bikes. I have just enough from the stimulus to buy the Eco truck Hammer 1000 W version so I did. Unfortunately FedEx threw it by my back door never bang or anything not that somebody could run with it but. I have nobody to help me so I got the wagon out of the garage somehow I got that giant box on the wagon and I pushed it to the garage with my other leg. I unpacked it I use the styrofoam whatever it is and flipped it over. I could not wait to ride it. Well I had it all set I thought I would take my first ride. Well I forgot to tighten the handlebars stem I went down hard I was screaming. The neighbors across the street teenager said should I help him mom she said no don't help him that was messed up man. So I pushed my bike back up the hill to the garage with one leg. I tighten down the handlebars I took off from 4 Highland Batavia I wanted to see how fast it can go I was at the end of the street before I knew it. There was a van coming I landed in somebody's yard that didn't exactly feel good either. I was feeling like a crash dummy LOL. I learned that you got to respect these bikes cuz they have more power than you think. I have gone camping with a Cannondale wagon and camping gear 30 miles away to Lakeside Beach Campground. That was 20/20 it has 1300 me it would have way more if I wasn't so depressed and in self-isolation. When I am riding my bike I feel happy. It gives you Freedom you can go places you could never go with an electric wheelchair. It's way too big for me it's for people 6 foot or more so I fall off at all the time I can't afford to buy a new one right now. I'm facing homelessness and a place to put my bike is hard to find it's 70 lb. I have three batteries I have ridden my bike to Rochester New York looking for an apartment. I stayed where the immigrants stay at the Quality Inn man was that as experience and there's no Apartments there either of course cuz they're taking them. I had my bike in my room with my wagon because I have three batteries. On the way home I thought Google Maps has to be wrong cuz why would I go left when I should go right and I should have listened if I did not have the batteries I would have been stranded in the middle of nowhere cuz it was like 40 Mi home instead of 32 and it was windy and it took all three batteries which was 43 1/2 amp hours well I probably could have went another 10 miles maybe but the point is if you're handicapped like me it can help you just get the right size one. I don't agree with you can only have 750 watts it's so stupid because people like me need power I don't need speed. 20 is like 50 in a car or something I want to be able to tow a wagon and go up to Hills. I have carried a 100 lb of wood in that wagon I have told a log that weighed 300 lb add Hamlin Beach people were looking at me like wow what the hell the workers at the park Hamlin Beach?? They left me firewood...... that was 35 Mi home...... I got to get out and ride my bike it can save my life. Plus I don't have a vehicle I need to go shopping and the Cannondale wagon which they no longer make I used to carry my kids in and pedal it home for visits sometimes about a quarter of a mile or less. They should still make these wagons they are indestructible I need to put new screws cuz they're Rusty and I will put stainless steel which are really expensive but man I can't say enough good things about electric bikes they're nearly all the same parts. Ecotrek is a good company even though you can barely understand them you can ask for parts years after your warranty goes. Hardly anybody makes videos on them they don't even want to pay people to do it. It can make you feel young again like these women I'm 62 I can't believe that one lady is 80....... yeah make a long story short........ I can write stories for school but I I've never been good at punctuation but this is a true story
He should have used seniors that were familiar bikes and some limited e-bike experience. I’m an experienced bike rider and it took me a least a month or 2 before I felt comfortable with all the features. They are no way going to learn enough in this video time.

@19:05 - Is this a Two Wheeler or a Three Wheeler? WOW
I am 105 years old 😮 I get a free electric ⚡️ tricycle only because I might be dead ☠️ tomorrow seriously 😳
But please don’t ride a bike with a neck scarf. It could get stuck in the spokes!
👴🏻✋🏻The slowest one please! 🤦🏻
Why aren't you showing any tadpole recumbent trikes?
They are coming soon!
