The DS and 3DS were talked a lot in there prime (release), but they barely are mentioned nowadays... and the DS releases aren't mentioned often unless they're Nintendos big names (Mario, Pokémon, Kirby, Zelda, ect)
I’m gonna be honest, TP isn’t as good as everyone says it is, might not even be in my top ten zelda games list, dont get me wrong its an incredible game, just not THAT good
Imo the most underrated channel on UA-cam when you consider the popularity of the main PBG channel! The shite here is just as funny and doesn’t get the recognition it deserves! I don’t have twitch but I hope the viewership there is consistent with the premium content of his vids
I will defend Mario Party 8 until the day I die! I do agree though, some of the minigames are kinda janky, but I think the boards are really clever and memorable. I may be biased because of nostalgia, but it is far from the worst Mario Party imo
Still have my GameCube. It's so old, it's scratched up, it takes like 25 minutes to actually work, occassionally crashing And I'm proud to have it. S tier for sure
@@paulthompson8793 i agree with SNES, but N64? Sure the games were impressive for the time, but only a small selection have aged well. I wouldnt even say N64 was the best console during that generation of gaming.
@@paldinox1 Yeah I would definitely argue that the gamecube 100% matches or even surpasses the n64 in game lineup. It was fucking amazing and literally released a game from every franchise of theirs. It’s even where quite a few of their franchises had their beginnings. Examples being Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, etc. Love the gamecube. My absolute favorite console

@@jonathanjoestar2380 The GameCube controller is far from perfect. People who state it is the best are simply blinded by nostalgia. The dpad is very awkward to use and the odd position of the buttons is not always ideal. Yes, it fits good in the hand, but there is more to a good controller than that. If a controller doesn't have a good dpad, it automatically loses functionality and cannot at all be considered among the top controllers to me. Modern Nintendo controllers are better.
I may be biased because I’ve been playing it for a long time, but I love the Wii U. It has a lot of underrated games. (And it has Pikmin 3, an amazing game.)
People tend to forget that without the wii u we would not have: Mario kart 8 deluxe, super mario maker 2, splatoon 2 i guess never played it, new super mario bros *U* deluxe, and there would not be coming out a 3D world on switch(can't wait to see what bowser's fury is)
@@benman92 I just wish Nintendo stops having bad storage for there consoles and they realize that the Wii U failed because the name made it look like a Wii accessory. They should have called it something else or even the Wii 2
The DS Lite will always be my favorite game console of all time. I think it's the combination of the awesome gba and ds libraries and my nostalgia because it was the first console that I played that was actually mine. Also I'm pokemon trash.
Man, I was with you for a while. I was giving you some shit in my head for putting so many things in S, but man. Undercutting the underrated Wii U. Also BotW is a Wii U game more than it is a Switch game; it was designed and optimized for the Wii U, and the Switch version is more or less just a port. Saying BotW is a Switch game is like saying TP is a Wii game. 3D World, Mario Maker 1 (which was better originally, but MM2 has given us more features more recently that has made it better), Hyrule Warriors, Nintendoland, BotW, DK: Tropical Freeze, Splatoon, Star Fox, Pikmin 3, continuing the Virtual Console trend, the definitive way to play Wind Waker...and the list of amazing content just goes on and on xD Not to mention the amazing benefit of off-TV play as well as a disconnected dual screen setup allowed for a lot more creativity in the gameplay. The only thing it did wrong was the battery life of the gamepad as well as the marketing. You GET IT OUT OF C-TIER RIGHT THIS MINUTE D< Haha, and nah, for those few of you out there that are going to take this seriously, I'm just kidding. I do think the Wii U is underrated af (I put it in A in my personal tier list), but people are entitled to their opinions xP
Your Mario Party DS beef makes little sense -- other people don't need to have the game to play it, to this day I play it with friends through Download Play, still one of the best Mario Party games
I agree besides the switch being at the very top. It hasn't been out long enough for us to fairly judge it, and a lot of people are biased to it at the moment. It is sort of like the people who said the 3ds was the best console of all time when it came out purely because it was, so impressive as well as cool at the time.
Haruhiro Grimgar eh, the GBA and DS are A-Tier in my opinion, the only consoles that should be S-tier are Wii U (you can play games from almost every console before it with the virtual console) and the Switch because it has the definitive Smash Bros, 2D Mario, and Mario Kart, plus has the best 3D Mario, 3D Zelda, 2D Zelda, etc.

3DS is S tier, with a huge improvement on the previous handhelds, and the best library of any nintendo console IMO! (Plus who can argue with a cheeky bit of backwards compatibility?!) Anyways, suck it nerd, love the vid as always
The problem with a nintendo console tier list is that unless you do some hard choices and put some consoles down a few tiers like 50% of the consoles will be in S tier
With the bullshit of splitting the game market on the 3ds cause some games straight up requiring the new 3ds it cannot be s tier. To many mistakes with that console
In my opinion, if you stick with the big Japanese 3rd party devs, the nes still holds up great. It’s when you look at stuff like unlicensed games or games published by LJN, acclaim, or the non-arcade games made by Midway where it’s age starts to show
To be fair, I own a Wii U, and even though it had merit, it was just not good enough to keep up with the PS4 and XBox one, and for that matter the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game pad was an unfinished idea that was perfected on switch. Plus, how many exclusives can you really name for the system?

I always had respect for Nintendo on how they try something completely different every console unlike Xbox (Microsoft) and PS4 (Sony) which always looked the same.

I agree whole heartedly. But this guy certainly doesn't know of the world when the Game boy hit the shelves and every one wanted one. Also.....DS lite is still an awesome system. My 2nd favorite handheld.
i mean nowadays, base ds and dslite are just kinda passed over for the newer consoles that stil, play their cartridges but no, a ds lite is the way to go for the og library imo

My own tier list would be: S: Switch, SNES, GameCube A: Wii, 3DS, N64 B: DS, NES, GBA C: Wii U, GBC, GB D: Virtual Boy The Switch's original library combined with better versions of the best Wii U games makes it too good. I grew up with the N64 and it still has some great games, but many did not age well (Goldeneye, Smash 64, Mario Kart 64) and its library is actually pretty small.
I'm surprised he didn't bring up Phoenix Wright at all and how it used the mic controls on the ds and 3ds. Granted it's pretty specific, but the mic controls when used right, were fire.
4:11It’s cool, but you probably should have figured out your criteria for the rankings before starting what can be a ‘possibly agitative’ tier list. I think ‘history’ is a good element(it provides some context as to the limitations it had and how it circumvented/revolutionized them), also ‘intend/execution’ (how well it does what it’s suppose to do, if it lagged, ran out of battery quickly, bad buttons ect. And maybe how long it stayed that way), and playability/options(how many tittles it had and how many hours you could easily spent on them feeling satisfied/entertained). Also price/accessibility would be an extra one i’d use for ties, and *maybe* ‘aging’ as also another small factor (how it stacks up in entertainment/fun value compared to today, could you play it today for hours and be entertained despite having other options...of course this is a tricky subjective element so i would probably only bring it up last)

Im only suggesting that he should have came up with some form of criteria, regardless of what it is- it’d be his own criteria/opinions. Not having one just makes for a bit of a sloppy opinion of a tier list, which can be frustrating because im spending the time to hear him out, might as well put some effort into crafting the basis of his tier list before starting the stream. That might sound harsh or entitled, and I don’t mean it to be, i still enjoyed it some what, but i would have enjoyed it a lot more if he just spend 30min or less just figuring out his own criteria/method before or during the stream(preferably before, so the chat doesn’t bog it down and it’s still his own opinion). It got a bit frustrating, especially at the start, because it feels half-baked/half-thought out at points, and that’s how you end up with contradicting arguments and placements. (Imagen if 1/3rd of the placements where based on nostalgia, but then another 1/3rd based on global/industrial impact, and the other 1/3rd based on a hunch..i have no problems with those reasons for a tier list, but they are all slightly different and it’s the inconsistency of having your criteria switched up constantly because you didn’t have it written down or focused on that gets me a bit annoyed. And when the chat is practically making you switch it up but you simply don’t realize it because you started with a loose/wobbly base/foundation and you’re just taking suggestions of people with different criteria, then suddenly it becomes a collage of different peoples opinions and your own half-baked ones, and so the basis of the “tier-list” isn’t as well defined and it’s not as meaningful.(the chat can help with arguments, but the basis/foundation of all criteria that he considers worth considering and the degree of it should be clear for everyone) As an invested viewer i share his struggle at points in the stream and i want him to do better. Hence- i provide my own criteria as an example that i think he might agree with, or as an advise i would like him to possibly fallow or at least see/consider, so i can feel even better about his next tier list, comprehend and accept his tier list for what it is, and not feel much frustration- if any.
100%! Regret buying it, if only because monster hunter 3 ultimate is the only game on the console that wasn’t ported that I enjoy, but honestly the depth of variety in the virtual console library for wii u totally outshined wii, 3DS, and for whatever reason, switch
For the most part my only disagree is the switch. I just see the switch as just an improvement on everything Nintendo has built up. It’s like the true successor to the legacy of that. Even despite its issues let’s not say that the older consoles didn’t have their own issues. Switch to me is easily best Nintendo console no questions asked
Ok hear me out hear me out, the Wii U can play every console except for the 3ds and obvsly switch and it was the first hd console for Nintendo; therefore, s tier 🤩
The red Wii was just a Wii Mini, so it was just a Wii without internet. I don't know who would've had enough experience with both the Wii and the Wii Mini to put them separately on a console tier list.
Nah fr, I played Chinatown Wars for like a half hour one time and it was one of the most uniquely fun gaming experiences I’ve had in history. Super underrated title and glad to hear that Peebs shares that opinion
I was so worried when he pretended to put the GC at A instead of S. My disappointment was almost immeasurable, and my day was almost ruined. Also, love that he used the music for Pokémon TCG while talking about the GBC.

GameCube Lord of the rings co op was fun. But timesplitters and geist were great
I grew up mostly playing GameCube because my parents refused to buy me a SNES or a N64. Absolutely love the GameCube.
It's a good console, but no way is it better than SNES or 64 imo, both have a far better library of games, especially the SNES.

Looking back, the NES and N64 were shit, I prefer the refined versions, SNES and GameCube
That list honestly boggles my mind. The DS and GBA being anything below S is insane. Much less the Switch so high.

3DS is S tier, with a huge improvement on the previous handhelds, and the best library of any nintendo console IMO! (Plus who can argue with a cheeky bit of backwards compatibility?!)

In my opinion, if you stick with the big Japanese 3rd party devs, the nes still holds up great. It’s when you look at stuff like unlicensed games or games published by LJN, acclaim, or the non-arcade games made by Midway where it’s age starts to show

To be fair, I own a Wii U, and even though it had merit, it was just not good enough to keep up with the PS4 and XBox one, and for that matter the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game pad was an unfinished idea that was perfected on switch. Plus, how many exclusives can you really name for the system?

My own tier list would be:
S: Switch, SNES, GameCube
A: Wii, 3DS, N64
B: DS, NES, GBA
C: Wii U, GBC, GB
D: Virtual Boy
The Switch's original library combined with better versions of the best Wii U games makes it too good.
I grew up with the N64 and it still has some great games, but many did not age well (Goldeneye, Smash 64, Mario Kart 64) and its library is actually pretty small.

I'm surprised he didn't bring up Phoenix Wright at all and how it used the mic controls on the ds and 3ds. Granted it's pretty specific, but the mic controls when used right, were fire.

‘history’ is a good element(it provides some context as to the limitations it had and how it circumvented/revolutionized them), also
‘intend/execution’ (how well it does what it’s suppose to do, if it lagged, ran out of battery quickly, bad buttons ect. And maybe how long it stayed that way),
and playability/options(how many tittles it had and how many hours you could easily spent on them feeling satisfied/entertained).
Also price/accessibility would be an extra one i’d use for ties, and *maybe* ‘aging’ as also another small factor (how it stacks up in entertainment/fun value compared to today, could you play it today for hours and be entertained despite having other options...of course this is a tricky subjective element so i would probably only bring it up last)

Yes but i prefer a thorough/pre-meditated opinion rather then a half-cooked one.
Im only suggesting that he should have came up with some form of criteria, regardless of what it is- it’d be his own criteria/opinions. Not having one just makes for a bit of a sloppy opinion of a tier list, which can be frustrating because im spending the time to hear him out, might as well put some effort into crafting the basis of his tier list before starting the stream.
That might sound harsh or entitled, and I don’t mean it to be, i still enjoyed it some what, but i would have enjoyed it a lot more if he just spend 30min or less just figuring out his own criteria/method before or during the stream(preferably before, so the chat doesn’t bog it down and it’s still his own opinion).
It got a bit frustrating, especially at the start, because it feels half-baked/half-thought out at points, and that’s how you end up with contradicting arguments and placements.
(Imagen if 1/3rd of the placements where based on nostalgia, but then another 1/3rd based on global/industrial impact, and the other 1/3rd based on a hunch..i have no problems with those reasons for a tier list, but they are all slightly different and it’s the inconsistency of having your criteria switched up constantly because you didn’t have it written down or focused on that gets me a bit annoyed.
And when the chat is practically making you switch it up but you simply don’t realize it because you started with a loose/wobbly base/foundation and you’re just taking suggestions of people with different criteria, then suddenly it becomes a collage of different peoples opinions and your own half-baked ones, and so the basis of the “tier-list” isn’t as well defined and it’s not as meaningful.(the chat can help with arguments, but the basis/foundation of all criteria that he considers worth considering and the degree of it should be clear for everyone)
As an invested viewer i share his struggle at points in the stream and i want him to do better.
Hence- i provide my own criteria as an example that i think he might agree with, or as an advise i would like him to possibly fallow or at least see/consider, so i can feel even better about his next tier list, comprehend and accept his tier list for what it is, and not feel much frustration- if any.

100%! Regret buying it, if only because monster hunter 3 ultimate is the only game on the console that wasn’t ported that I enjoy, but honestly the depth of variety in the virtual console library for wii u totally outshined wii, 3DS, and for whatever reason, switch

For the most part my only disagree is the switch. I just see the switch as just an improvement on everything Nintendo has built up. It’s like the true successor to the legacy of that. Even despite its issues let’s not say that the older consoles didn’t have their own issues. Switch to me is easily best Nintendo console no questions asked

I'd say people who grew up with the Wii U also likely grew up with a 3DS, both S tier. They even had cross platform support.

The red Wii was just a Wii Mini, so it was just a Wii without internet. I don't know who would've had enough experience with both the Wii and the Wii Mini to put them separately on a console tier list.
