- A lot of people commented that they wanted me to connect the sleeves of T-shirt tent, so I did it!!

I made a cat tent out of t-shirts.
I watched most of the videos on UA-cam on how to make cat tents, and put together a list of the best parts.
The parts not shown in other cat tent videos
1: I recommend using strong tape!
Other tapes can be easily broken by energetic cats.
2: Make the cardboard sturdy!
The reason I made the corners of the cardboard so sturdy is because the method I saw on youtube was too fragile for my cats and they broke it too easily.
If you are using thin cardboard, I would recommend layering two sheets and sticking them together with a bond.
3: strong tape the ceiling
Some videos use cellophane tape or wire to hold the ceiling in place, but cats will easily break it.
The cats had climbed on top of the tent, shifting the ceiling, and when i woke up in the morning, the tent was flattened.
It was necessary to fasten the tent tightly with plastic tape.
I decided to make it look like the tent village.
I was able to make a lot of t-shirts thanks to the very cheap price of 100 yen($1) each.

The lights are good for photography, but I usually turn them off.

Love seeing the cats sat in these tents with their little heads poking out haha - they look like weird tortoises haha!
What a great idea!! And so cute watching the cats enjoy the tents. Another idea would be to connect a few of the sleeves to each other so they can have a tunnel between 2 or 3 tents... extra rooms can be fun. 😸

What a great idea! You could overlap the bottom of each shirt over the entrance of another to put them together and make a tunnel system. Probably shouldn't pin them with safety pins though, stitching would be best.

Pulling in old tshirt over the opening of a cardboard box with the head hole covering the opening of the box makes for cute cat homes as well. And much simpler than this.
A box and tshirt are all you need.

Covering a cardboard box with a T-shirt also works fine, and you don't need to waste two wire hangers. More spacious too... fits two cats if they are friendly and like to cuddle.
These can also be great forts for gi joe figurines. My son loved playing with these fort tents.

I'd probably cute the sleeve off in that case so they don't get caught in it, but still have an extra exit. You just stretch the area where you cut gently and it won't fray.

However, the shirt used should be warn/old ones you have already worn as cats tend to want their owners/slaves scent on them which makes them feel more at home.

Although I would need to use something other than the safety pins, because my cats would flip the tents over and chew on the pins!
A few stitches across the overlap should work, or strong tape for those who can't sew.
Maybe use something heavy for the base glue the cardboard to it ? 🤷♀️
Wow, never thought it could be so simple to build a nice cathouse, looks very cozy and stylish too! I'll make a bigger one for my duo using a pile hoodie instead, so they will finally have a place to stay in when stepping inside (they're outdoors cats).

I made these for my last set of foster kittens... They loved it so much. I left the sleeves out so they had multiple entrances and exits.
