In episode 11 of our series, Foxing with Mark Ripley (260 RIPS) on Shooting & Country TV, Mark is out for a clear-up after calls from two concerned farmers about the safety of their lambs.
Fox attacks on lambs are very common, and Mark protects the lambs on several different farms from the jaws of the local fox population. It's not an easy job - Mark is working with a vast swathe of land that requires constant scanning and often a long shot on one farm, and a smaller area with houses and roads to consider before making a safe shot on the second farm.
It's of the utmost importance that Mark takes a few foxes out before they get to the vulnerable lambs, which make very easy pickings for these highly effective predators... it goes very well! Enjoy!
Excited to get out myself after watching this!
That 'TC' for Top cat?
Great entertainment while being very informative. thank you.
Nice that he using a few bits of New Zealand gear. Mae and Ridgeline
No 3 whent down like a ton of bricks. Keeping the new lambs safe thanks
As always, great shooting and another enjoyable watch. Keep up the good work 👍

Brilliant land you got there. Worst day out shooting is better than the best day anywhere in my opinion
Great stuff mate, heading out tonight 🦊💥
Great video
Nice clean kills. I admire your patience. 😊
Mark Ripley is the best! 👍🏻👏🏻🦾
good shooting protect the lambs
Holy s*** yeah after that 1st shot it confirms that you are a military or active military and/or is a sniper That's one f****** long shot
Great shooting mark. I would of been quite happy watching the hares boxing and playing shame you didn’t get one on the hill ground but they you go. Still nice to get 3 and a very happy landowner. 👍
Well done Mark again more please.
Top class shooting again Mark keep the videos coming 👌

Thanks Mark 👍🏻
so much better than the shooting show and fieldsports , they seem to come out with 10 mins of content
Awesome video👌🏼👍🏻🌿
great back stop
Those hills are lovely for shooting over 👍
It is important to keep fox numbers under control. If not they can do a lot of damage especially at lambing time, which i have seen for myself and hav`nt forgotten the sight.
Nice work as always mark
Goed gesloten Mark top geweldig
very professional vermin control!
Simply the best!
Great video....😬
well done mark most enjjoyable,mo ball
I see 260RIPS I watch, it is the way.
Fantastic shooting as ever Mark - but i would recommend wearing ear protection even with a moderated rifle - it is still loud !!
Your right I probably should really! 🥴
Excellent..👍
Flips a stone at 350 yards for jokes. Brilliant. What a set up of gear.
You have that same type of hold and bolt style only only long range shooters in the military usually use
The cool opening track is 'Desert Drives' by Brent Wood.
You: check my zero on a 300m stone.
Me: check my zero on a 300m hill.
😆 it was really just to see what the wind was doing and check I was somewhere close on the wind call! 😉👍
Class 👏👏👏
If you don't mind me asking sorry about all the comments but I'm asked but I'm f****** amazed amazed how many feet are those shots or yards and what type of gun is that when I 1st seen it and then begin itwork like A L96 kind of
It’s a custom 260rem rifle in an accuracy International stock 👍 I think the distance of all shots are mentioned in the video.
For more similar content check out other videos on this channel as well as my own channel 260rips
Good shooting
Will you be going to the Harrogate show bud
I don’t think I’ve got that one booked in but I will be at the British shooting show next year 👍
It still amazes me how a Brit can hunt with a suppressed rifle. Yet my state here in the US has banned it. For no good reason at all.
Looks to me like America wants to keep their vermin, pigs coyotes etc!
It is very regulated. You need a firearms license. You have to prove that you have a valid reason for a firearms license. You will be background checked. You need a medical assessment. Your license will only be for the gun(s) and ammo that you declare, you even need to state how much ammo you intend to purchase. All the equipment has be locked in a safe when not in use and the gun must travel hidden in a bag or case. If you want to add different types of guns or ammo or change your allocation you need to apply for the amendments. If for recreation only you must be a member of a registered club. And you will get randomly checked by the Police with home visits to ensure you are complying. That said, the variety of equipment and ammo available for use would surprise most people!
Hi Mark
Would love if you done a in-depth video on the Recon sticks,
Are they only used on flat ground?
Can they be used for Deer Stalking?
The Rekon sticks are good all round and can be used on all types of terrain and from any position 👍 I did a bit more of a demo using them on the Nightvision show on here 👍
Mark silly question what do you do with the disposal of the culled foxes? ie do you leave them for the farmer /land owner? Gary
Ur rifle carrying sack is ???
Good video's!
🐴❤️🤠🇨🇱
It’s an AIM fieldsports drag bag 👍
Nice video which model is the Nexus im looking for different scope
This one is the 5-20x50 ffp Moa clean Ret.
The element range of scopes are excellent and track perfectly. Sportsman gun centre is the uk stockist 👍
Do you just leave them for the farmer? Alway wondered what u do with the foxes once there done
Depends on the farm, some like to see the fruits of our Labour others we just dump them in the farms dead bin for collection by contractors along with any dead livestock
This is the really nice gun bag can you tell me what is it please
Great shooting as always 👍 Mark what spec is the element scope please
This is the element nexus 5-20x50 ffp with the Moa clean Ret 👍
@@260rips thank you for your reply Mark 👍
Mark could do with some advice if possible
Sure what’s up?
Great video
Could you make sure your audio comes through on both left and right channels. It was only in my left speakers on this video and quite irritating.
Sir, where I could buy that tripod 🙂
These are available from www.scottcountry.co.uk - it’s the Rekon tripod and pig saddle 👍
Hey, what are you using insaide the rearbag?
These come pre filled with small silicone beads 👍
👍
Does it get calmer wind wise after dark?
I don’t think it makes much odds as a rule 👍
What gunslip is that please?
It’s an AIM fieldsports drag bag 👍
What country are you in?? I thought countries like Europe and Europe and pretty much anywhere but the US you can't have weapons like this like this that's why they use high powered air rifles I know they can have shotguns but have to go through all kinds of hoops and jumps to get them
There is a lot of bull on the web about what we can and cannot have in the UK.
I’m in the uk and yes we can own full bore rifles although you do need a licence and ground to use it on as well as good reason to possess firearms 👍
What call do you use?
I’m using a fox pro electronic caller here with various calls 👍
Great video as always Andy... what brand and model of rifle bag do you use...
I’m using the aim fieldsports drag bag. It’s been absolutely brilliant for about 10 years and it’s only just starting to wear, will definitely be buying another the same!
Great video lad.awesome editing .no idiot babbling on about a heap of garbage, thank you.
When this video for started I thought this was an air gun I'm gonna keep watching but I'm under the assumption the recoil after he fired and the size Install of that bolt That it's not let me finish video
What the fuck are you saying that since its mot and air rifle you dont wanna watch it? Cause damn thats hard to read.
Hi Mark,
What makes you choose the call to use on the caller, or is it pure guess work?
Cheers
I have a few I like which work well, the screaming rabbit call is good when you want the call to be heard from a distance. Rabbit distress, pheasant distress and rat distress are all good. I try to match the call to what’s in the area ie if there’s bunnies on this hedgerow then I use rabbit sounds, around barns maybe a rat one. The fox cub sounds can also be good in the spring 👍
19.05 that's not a shot i would have taken not enough info going by the info on my screen. i hope your info was better than mine
nothing wrong with 2 &3 nice clean definition nice clean hits . That's the way to do it still think no 1 was dodgy . I might chop my .243 in for .223
You can’t really see too well in the scope footage the back drop here, but there is a thin row of trees and a stream where this fox is stood, directly behind this is a rising field so completely safe and quarry had been positively Id with thermal and nv prior to the shot. I spent a little while zooming the scope in and out etc trying to get a better picture for the video on this one during which time I could see it well enough to see it was a fox (image is a fair bit better through the scope too!) 👍
Nice shooting I'd hate to be on the business end of that b****
Some weird audio in this video ...got music in one ear and dialogue in another!
That’s so you can adjust the balance for the perfect mix in your head! Us s&c crew think of everything for the perfect viewing experience 😆😉
You must be ex military or active
I am sorry besides the music I can not hear any of your explanations and talk. :(
It seems that for some reason the audio is on one channel and music on another 🤔 it seems fine on my phone
Mark No sound!!!!
It’s on there but for some reason some people have had problems with it! I’ve just watched it on my phone with audio 🤔
no sound
It’s on there, maybe the video didn’t load properly to your device 👍
