It's kind of dumb considering the G.E.C.K room casts more radiation than the project room. I equipped the advanced rad suit and a rad-x. Logically would have been alive.

I completed all other DLCs, the campaign, and saved Broken Steel for last. What do I do to end the game? Right now I'm just wandering around doing menial tasks and killing Super Mutants (with Fawkes as a companion).

Have you gone to the enclave mobile base? THere are quests about the aqua pura too. the rest is open ended.

I don't remember much changing dialogue/story wise but I haven't done an post-FEV playthrough in years

Most towns (Rivet city, megaton, Big Town, Tenpenny tower, Citadel) will flood with sick and dying people and the clinics in those towns will be full of patients. On top of that, if you drink 4 times in a row on any body of water in the TIdal Basin, you die.

I remember the first time I got to this point. I remember making sure that colonel autumn stayed dead so I chopped his head off w/ my Chinese officers sword then threw it into the water then looted his body and tossed the rest of his corpse into the water. I then remember not remembering the code b/c I barely had payed attention to the game and the Bible verse so I remember the purifier killing me and I was like wtf? Did I just perma die? Then when broken steel came out I had known the verse

Didn't want to die like my dummy dumb father, I wanted Lyons to die but it would have ment she would be the hero, so I just told Fawkes to do it for me as he is immune to radiations, after all he is the one who gave me the GECK after I saved him so he should earn the title of a hero too :))

I always asked myself why does in the bad ending there are regular people dying shown in the flashbacks. I mean, sure, super-mutants and gouls are dead, but why other normal people too...
Tbh, I always though that the bad ending was not really that bad. It needed to be even worse, like for example: Virus that turns everyone into Super Mutants 2.0 after perfecting F.AV. virus that will create an obidient army to fight for the Enclave. Now that is an evil ending in my book, and the one I was kind of expecting

The water killed irradiated people so only people like vault dwellers or enclave are safe

When Eden refers to mutants, he isn’t referring to just ghouls and super mutants. He is referring to everybody who isn’t in a vault or in the Enclave. They Enclave believes anyone born in the wasteland is irradiated and as such a mutant.
