I’ve come to realize a lot of Halo 3 was a missed opportunity, and some random changes from Halo 2’s original ending were for the worse. And that It was also severely overhyped and over-marketed, with money that could have been used to produce *more* of a game.
@wearsjorge55 I assumed it'd be shooting the tentacles allowing you to get off the platform. As you say you can't win against it, but you can fight to survive
Wasn't there originally supposed to be a Gravemind boss fight in Halo 2 or 3, or at least a concept of something like that, but it ended up being cut because of hardware restrainants? I swear I remember hearing that in maybe one of your videos or another Halo video but I have so much random trivia in my head nowadays I can never be sure if I'm just making something up LOL
It was a cut section in Halo 3. After taking back Cortana, you find an abandoned Scarab tank, and Cortana would take control of it. Then she would use said Scarab to fight the Gravemind while you help her taking out ordes of Flood that will try to destroy the Scarab legs and core.
@generalkidd, can you make a video on saving the marines in halo ce on Truth & Reconcilliation who died from stealth sanghelli while you rescue Captain Keyes or triggering pelicans to fly in so that you can potentially have 15+ marines on Truth & Reconcilliation?
@chipsdubbo5.56 I'm aware. Fun fact the marine body surrounded by blood and a couple health packs. Goes away because of the flood reveal cutscene. But if you leave the loading area and return to the room it'll be back.
Turns out that as a result of Bungie making them not spawn at the start of the mission, the script that is meant to despawn them does the opposite instead.
The Arbiter's duel weilding flamethrowers? Badass.
he puts the TF2 Pyro to shame
Arbiter burned his entire ass.
this is ridiculous and i love it
I always thought it was a missed opportunity that you never got to fight the grave mind, even if it was just the tentacles like here

@lemmingscanfly5 I respect your opinion but we'll have to agree to disagree :)
I do wonder how the planned fight would have went, especially since the gravemind is essentially an immortal zombie god hive mind
@wearsjorge55 I assumed it'd be shooting the tentacles allowing you to get off the platform. As you say you can't win against it, but you can fight to survive
Agreed. It's a bit strange it's tentacles are right there and then they just withdraw.
I'd guess maybe an idea they cut for time
Arby straight up roasted Truth. That was brutal.
They started cooking each other at 2:28 😂
They had enough.
How the fu- GIMME THAT LASER
The boss fight we were missing in Halo 3.
Chief so good the laser doesn't have to charge
Well, seems lore accurate…

Arbiter:"For that's all you must be Burned!".
1:34 “asshole… you must be silenced”
bro DID NOT FORGET that pit he got thrown down
Any chance you can figure out why the bodies don't spawn on 343 Guilty Spark?
I've always wondered this too. But then you can make them spawn by just going down and coming back up the elevator
