I love this minigame. Felt so awesome going after speeders, especially Snot Rod, DJ, Boost and Wingo, because I know there's a running gag where Sheriff always catches them. Mia and Tia, I'm honestly surprised about because they worked for Flo and I don't think they usually do anything wrong while fanboying over McQueen, but Chick, I can understand more.

The Portuguese translation of the game's manual refers Chick Hicks as Chick Murphy. Not sure if a true mistake or an intended reference to Tripp Murphy from Herbie Fully Loaded. Both are antagonical cheating oval racers...
Yeah, I always did see a bit of a similarity between Tripp Murphy and Chick (though Chick's a much better character in my opinion) but I bet that's probably just a coincidence.
Theres a glitch you can do...
After you fail to catch one of the speeders and they escape, Spam the boost button, and then as the failure cutscene plays, the audio will freak out and overlap 100 boost sound effects each one louder than the last.
Very useless, but funny XD

This minigame has a unused cutscene where the racer would pull over to the side of the road. I guess they removed it because it killed the pacing of this fun minigame.

I loved doing this mission, it was quite funny at times, like you go do a PIT against an AI car and hear their reactions, or instead they'll be pushed back a bit. 😂😂
On another note, this event has a bug where if you failed a particular level, the bgm wouldn't restart by itself when you restarted the level for whatever reason. As a software guy, I find it odd that they didn't test this mini game thoroughly for this type of thing.
