Hey brother! Not sure if you'll ever read this, but if you do, the aim is constructive... Although you've got a lot of great and creative video edits here, I would pull the mix knob down to somewhere 50-65% on it. They tend to distract from the value of the lesson. It's clear that you put a lot of effort into making quality content, and you have done a good job. But if I'm being honest, I don't think I'd watch another if it was done in the same way. More substance, less fancy edit. Best of luck!!!
Mid/side is mostly useful for mastering when you don’t have access to the individual tracks. Otherwise, you can just put a saturation plug on the kick and snare individually and fine tune each exactly how you want. Sure the mid-side thing will save you some time and it won’t hurt anything but it won’t make your mix better. And even for saving time, you’d be better off making a saturation send, that way you can at least control the individual amounts. So it makes sense that that guy is a mastering engineer lol. Just wanted to say that for anyone that’s watching this, thinking about buying a saturation plugin with a mid/side feature. It’s not necessary for mixing and there’s better ways to achieve the same effect.
EV likes to send everything through tape then back into the DAW. His claim is after that process, everything starts to behave “properly.” I think PTs HEAT and Luna’s per-channel tape emulation does the same thing. Decent mic pres do similar for my tastes. Especially Neve pres or clones.
Just cam across this video. Really helpful but I mainly just wanted to say thank you for not having that annoying UA-camr lighting in the background,. If i see one more channel with LED lights in the background I'm gonna loose it lol
Very nice video! Yeah saturation is key in creating also flavors and colors. I use it a lot in the low end to get a nice bass sounding with a controlled amount of brightness at the high end.
I dunno man. Maybe the word genius isn't quite it yet. And Luca Pretolesi? He's a good mixer for sure, but damn does he do things the hard way sometimes.
These videos are great! Great information, great video editing..everything is on point! But where can we hear your mixes? It would be really cool if, among other links in the description, there is a link to your portfolio. I'm not saying this in a negative way; it's just something I would like to see more often in UA-cam channels that talk about mixing. Love your work, bye :))
Using thumbnails from other more famous producers content is a red card. These videos offer 0.2% information and the rest is ….. Why am I here? Because I followed a misleading thumbnail of a producer I respect
I guess there's lot of useful info, but it's just the way you provide it with doesn't speak to me, too noisy, too much meme stuff ... Sorry, tried several attempts to your channel :( Anyway Good luck with growing your channel, maybe I'll give it another go, please think a little bit about people that need a bit different approach to learn, we need good content!
How about you pull down the wet signal down on the meme edits. When looking at the comments, it seems that majority thinks this way. It just doesn't blend well when giving good information

Best of luck!!!
so 4 of the tips are just slap saturn on it?
Instead what you can do to achieve those same tricks is to use an eq or channel strip w shelf eqs before you hit the saturator.
the Mr Beast editing makes this nearly unwatchable.
I was waiting for some tutorial but all I got was saturation advertisement
Transformers of tutorials this is way to intense
😅
Agree. Love Mr Breast though. 😂
It’s AI bro
If this isn't an ad for Saturn...woof
Hello, See if you can find us a good setting on Studio One's Red Light Distortion, for saturation to go over a mix.
Mid/side is mostly useful for mastering when you don’t have access to the individual tracks. ONE OF THE BEST CHANNEL ON UA-cam!!!
Phenomenal vid. Thank you for doing this.
Just cam across this video. Really helpful but I mainly just wanted to say thank you for not having that annoying UA-camr lighting in the background,. If i see one more channel with LED lights in the background I'm gonna loose it lol
happy to hear you enjoyed the videos, but don't go looking at the videos from last year to avoid the LED background lighting hahahah
Extremely slept on Channel. Great stuff!
Useful. And, entertaining. Messed around with most of this stuff already, just not in the ways mentioned. Keep it coming!
This was a great video, thank you so much!
Very nice video! Yeah saturation is key in creating also flavors and colors. I use it a lot in the low end to get a nice bass sounding with a controlled amount of brightness at the high end.
Huu the editing is so annoying…
I agree
I dunno man. Maybe the word genius isn't quite it yet. And Luca Pretolesi? He's a good mixer for sure, but damn does he do things the hard way sometimes.
Honestly nevermind was horrible, but everyone has different taste I guess 💖
yeah i gave up on watching Luca’s videos because he gets way too complex on his methods and i sometimes couldn’t even tell the difference
What is with all of this bombastic video editing? xD
Love your videos man, keep up the good work. Thank you for making them, lots of really great insights ❤
Not so sure Andrew said you'd get anything like that kind of saturation from a Fairchild PLUG IN though.. did he?
I already love this channel.
Maybe you should drink less coffee
Can you olease make a full video about the last trick?
If this video was about adult pacifiers, I would have made a purchase. You, my friend, are a great salesman
Next generation of music UA-camr
Wtf is this editing 😂
for the tiktok generation
We live in the ADHD era
These videos are great!

Well thought out timeline in your videos.
Great content!

thanks much! Also, you're funny :D
5 minutes build up just to say “you should use saturation on the low end” 😱 yeah no shit Sherlock
Is this video directed by michael bay?
Bounce to tape and drive the machine.

SO BASICALLY BUY SATURN..GOTCHA
This makes me feel like I have ADHD
take it easy and slow😊
Hopefully clicking 'dislike' will make this nonsense not show up on my feed, because this video was completely pointless.
please, mate, work on your vocal sound in youir vids, this is not convincing for an audio channel:) besides, good work
okay we get it, you sped up your voice by 10%, it sucks, no one really likes mr beast.
SOOO USEFUL 🫶🏾 and you plug in the extra work to make it entertaining 🥹
