Wish you happy and prosper new year. ❤😍. Your all the videos are much helpful in daily life. ✨✨🎉🎉. One of my self care routine is I go for cycling and whenever I get time I get nicely brewed coffee 😊
I'm an Indian I felt touched when you mentioned chai and to make an Indian curry (if interested) :D Yep, I like Indian curries, especially the ones which have gravies in them. The video was amazing too, thank you! 😄💛💛💛
My self care includes saying 'no' at times and learning to listen to my body and take a rest day of working out. Sometimes all my body is asking for is a nap or a rest day. Happy New Year
2020: continuing to declutter that last 25% of unneeded belongings in order to gain more freedom from stress anxiety, getting more exercise outside in the colder weather to find the joy I felt as a kid and last but certainly not least starting a “low-buy” year to boost my savings & my peace of mind financially. The best self care I can do for myself.
Thank you so much for these tips. I've been forced to self-care due to a health condition. I already follow most of you advice. I have found that if I neglect self-care my health deteriorates. I have to pace my activities and rest regularly. I love that more people are learning to live their lives more healthily and authentically and you help us to do that.
I noticed that every time I'm in a very bad mood, I go for a walk. The more I'm down, the longest the walk is. I also like to draw when I'm sad because it increases my creativity a LOT Thanks for the video too, I really enjoyed this notification
Great msg my self care routine is going for a walk in the park, buying myself roses, reading a book, nature walk, playing piano and going to the movies alone and traveling where I haven't been before
My self care is doing a little gentle exercise in the morning, taking a short walk, read a book and a cup of tea. Vera thank you very much for all these beautiful self care tips. ❤
Thank you, Vera. Great tips as always! Meditation is so important to me the past few months. I can definitely see a difference in the way I cope with things. A funny story. When my son was younger, we used to listen to children's music ALL DAY LONG. By the time he reached two years, I was so fed up with it, that I started to listen to popular science videos even when he was awake and I was doing chores. He became so interested to these type of content that by the age of 2,5 he knew all the planets and lots of extra information on them. Even though he couldn't speak clearly yet. He is almost 4,5 now and he doesn't watch cartoons but he loves science (astrophysics, biology, physics). And all of that came from me craving some self care, as I was totally absorbed by role as a mother.
All great tips. One of mine is having quiet moments with my dogs. This only works when they have had their adequate exercise, and they are calm, and sleepy :-) Their big brown eyes and doggy smiles and soft fur lift my spirits, even if this connection is only for a minute or two.
My self care routine is to just sit down and enjoying my favorite songs on repeat while humming to it. I'm the type of person who enjoys music flowing through my ears while I'm actively engaged with my task so for me, having some favourite songs accompanying me is a good idea for self care. I really enjoy your tips as always, Vera. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. With love, from Malaysia 💖💖💖
Thank you for providing excellent closed captions for your posts. It benefits so many people in so many situations, not just the deaf and hard of hearing folks.
I love naps and alone time. I'm also an HSP and I also have ADHD and GAD so my mind is always in overdrive and I NEED to be alone, in silence, to unwind. Something new that I've added to my selfcare routine is being mindful during my skincare routine. Instead of just rushing through everything to get on with my day I really relish being in the moment when cleansing and moisturizing my skin. I've even started being more mindful and present when brushing my teeth. It makes me feel really great when starting my day or getting ready for bed.
Look into hemp flower, idk if you where ever a smoker but hemp flower is basically like weed except without the high, it just relaxes and centers you no matter what’s going on in that moment. Good strain for this is called “Lifter”. There’s tinctures too so you don’t have a to smoke, but this stuff is a true god send for any anxiety, discomfort or any type of mental suffering in general.
I can be a bit nervous about new places but once iv been there I want to go bk. Great advice new places even a few days is so refreshing. And alone time is precious xx
Great tips. I wrote these down to remind myself of them. Thank you so much. ❤️ Also, here in St. Paul, MN, USA, we have a lovely conservatory that has beautiful flowers. I go there, especially during the winter months, as part of my self care routine.
I will take a walk through nature to go to a cafe I've never been before to have an hour of alone time while drinking herbal tea, reading a book, maybe doing some sketching, and playing very low so only I can hear it relaxing music, and not mess with my phone. 😁😊 Sounds fantastic!
I am cooking at home everyday, white listening to audiobook. This is my favourite part of the day. My second activity is walking in the wild park/forest. I also enjoy long (2-3 hour) walks in the city with my husband.
Great tips, especially #19: Make a list of gratitude. I practice this routine a lot. Actually, I try to express my gratitude as much as possible instead of making a list. You are right that gratitude is one of the sources of happiness. And I believe staying myself happy improves situations around me greatly. I believe good things come true more and more if I stay happy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you so much, Vera. I’m an only child (but pushing 50!) and find I’m really missing my alone time. I need to explain to my husband and kids that I need to schedule alone time for myself. Thank you for the reminder (and the permission). Very best wishes to you for a peaceful, joyful, healthy 2020, Vera!
Thank you Dana! Alone time can be so important :) It's perfectly okay to communicate that and ask for some alone time every now and then :) I'm wishing you all the best for 2020 as well 🤗🌺
I love to journal. I keep a bullet journal, and often start gratitude logs along with my monthly spread. I am not consistent with my journaling, which is to my detriment. I like the idea of SCHEDULING self care activities. Thank you for this video. I will be using your suggestions with my new journal in the new decade!
Heart of Kentucky. Hi Vera. I watch a lot of your videos over and over. As you know, I've been out of wack for a number of years. I'm back to my spiritual studies every morning, and I have lots of poetry books, and I'm back to reading a poem every morning. I'm also eating healthy again. I'm very excited to be back to doing what is good for me. Katie.
I love jogging along the trail at a park. It's my way of connecting with nature, getting some exercise and get lost in my own world, while listening to my favourite songs.
One thing I have started to do in the last few months is to go to the gym more often. To do this I even changed to a 24 hour gym so I could go for a workout before I go to work. This is something that I am beginning to realise is a way of caring for myself as it is so good for my health. I also use it as time to listen to podcasts and UA-cam videos I otherwise wouldn’t have chance to do. Another thing I try do regularly is to meditate. I find it very relaxing and it helps to put my into a calm state of mind before the busyness of the day begins. But I’m definitely going to try adding more of your suggestions into my routine too.
Happy new year, Vera! One of the self care activities that I do to unwind is to unplug from all the electronic gadgets for a while and sit down and have a steaming cup of tea in my balcony. Wishing you a joyous new year once again!💐🌼💐- Varsha
Hi Vera, I just wanted to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and thank you for your beautiful channel x you've been a highlight for this year for me, facilitated some real change. A prayer for your mum of course. xxxx
Happy New Year Vera! Great video. It gave me some ideas. Thank you for sharing. I work on my art to relax and I entertain my bird, Butter cup with my singing. She also loves meditative music. Can't wait for more wonderful videos from you. ❤
There is a massage pillow that I bought on amazong for relaxation or sore muscles and it's amazing. It really feels like a person is doing the massage for me. Thanks for this video. The tips are great!🥰
Hi Vera. Thank you for your new video. You look real nice in your blouse. Right now, I'm eating a lot of sugar, but I will get over it. My routine will be, drinking lots of water. I drink what I call my water tonic, first thing in the morning, and thirty minutes later, take a probiotic. These I do for my gut. I want to do vigorous exercise five days a week. I need that. I'm back to reading, which I really like that. I'm just thankful I can see to read and write, have a nice apartment, all my body parts work(I just need to use them more!) I have a lot of time, and am looking to manage it better. I play musical instruments and compose, and am always thankful when the Great Spirit gives me a new composition. So, I hope for you a Joyful New Year. Katie in Kentucky.
I have recently started doing adult colouring books. I find them really relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it. I really liked your ideas especially giving yourself shoulder and neck rubs and foot massages. I will definitely try that.
To take care of myself, I focus on getting my workout in 4x a week. In the past I would get into working out for awhile then I'd quit. I was never consistent. The ONLY thing that worked for me was devoting 30 days to working out to build the habit. Building the habit is the hardest part! People don't realize this. After I spent 30 days exercising, I dropped it down to 4x a week and have been going 4x a week for the last 8 months. For those wanting to get into fitness, you MUST devote 30 days to working out!
Happy New Year. Thanks for the various tips. Have started practicing some of them for a while now... challenge is to do them regularly and consistently.
Hi from Mendoza, Argentina! I find all these 20 suggestions fabulous. In my case, I try to balance skin care routines, exercise and stimulating reading. As an introvert, I enjoy more "me time" but I also like spending valuable time with friends now and then.
Taking time for ourselves just to connect with our core, to get to know ourselves better and simply learn a little bit more about ourselves, we all need a moment just to relax and let go. This is a self-discovery journey ♡ beautiful video !!! Much love and happy holidays
Some great ideas...I'm working on a self care list for my bullet journal. One of my self care ideas is to do some stretches/exercises from my tai chi class while my coffee brews in the morning. I was doing that this summer and then my Keurig died, I switched to instant coffee and forgot about it. My daughter bought me a french press for christmas so I plan to incorporate it into my routine again. Another thing I like is to stay after my aquafit class or after I swim laps and soak in the hot tub, or sit in the steam room. I don't always have time. I also consider exercise to be self care.
Thanks Francesca 🤗 I can't remember in which videos she explains the foot massage, since she does it in a lot of videos haha. But I'll link a few that are my favorites when I want to do some self care and wind down. ua-cam.com/video/_FIvJdwePiM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/jHZPtn15agE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/tD_l3fDTFyg/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/4JaCcp39iVI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/BPK9WNtpBgk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/v7SN-d4qXx0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/wwPzwZo6vdk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/iglbdN1tmF0/v-deo.html
My 2020 routine will include going to a yoga class, floatation, Indian head massage, every week.. anything that allows me some time to just switch off.. I live a highly stressful life, and it has become very evident I can no longer ignore my needs.. 2020 will be about change.. For the better 🤗 Thank you for another great video 😊
@@SimpleHappyZen thank you so much 😊.. Oh and floating is divine.. It feels a bit strange at first, its pitch black.. And the water is your body temperature, which makes you feel like you are literally floating on nothing.. Its amazing.. Give it a try.. Its complete tranquility 🤗❤️
Hey just a quick one… I feel very happy and inspired when I watch such you rive videos … as I have started journaling and gratitude habit …. So does getting little addicted to such high tube videos count in screen time
such amazing advise, thank you so much and I am now going to organise my routine as my life is crazy and can turn stressful. Thanks so much for the boost.
You're very welcome Samantha! I can recommend checking out my 7-day Simplify Your Life challenge if you haven't already, sounds like it could be helpful for you :) ua-cam.com/video/nJxu5-88UBs/v-deo.html
Hi Vera I will be saving this one thank you!! I find meditation a big help alongside putting myself and my feelings first a lot more than I used too!! ❤️
My self care routines includes gym exercise, dancing, go to the beach once a week etc. thank you for sharing, i liked your tips..... just keep that way.....Happy New Year
With a little kid it’s quite hard to find time for selfcare. But from time to time I have a bath, do yoga or go jogging. Thanks for great ideas! I’ll make a list. With love from Russia:)
Thank you for this helpful video. I would also add care of your body and environment or space. Like taking a bath or walk or cleaning your room for 20 minutes. You mentioned eating a healthy meal, also drinking a glass of water to stay hydrated. Just some more ideas ✨
Great video Vera. Thank you for yet another year of amazing videos. You are probably one of the most authentic youtubers I've come across. Thank you and happy holidays 🤗💛🌼
*Screenless day *Yummy healthy recipe cooked for urself *Practicing a hobby *See a friend *Read a book *Give yourself a hug *Eat more fruit *Go outside *Do something creative *Go to your favourite cafe *Watch a movie *Take a nap *Rub your own feet neck and shoulders *Herbal tea break *Go somewhere you ve never been before Listen to relaxing music Have an hour of alone time Make a gratitude list Make a self care list with goals
In the weekend i use my bathing time as my alone time. Doesnt always work with 3 kids in the house, but with papa around to keep them busy i get it done mostly
As a Spaniard I can't agree more with the nap one hahaha. SIESTA TIME is a religion here (specially during summer because of the hot weather). Unluckily, I can only take naps during the weekend as I work till 5 p.m the other days. I love all of these routines! Thanks for your tips and sweetness! 😊
I enjoyed this video very much,a big thank you for this one.. I have actually started implementing your ideas in my life and I am loving it this way.. Thank you simple happy zen 💖💖
Everything you shared in this UA-cam Video is true. A lot of your ideas I already knew. It's good to see a wonderful educational UA-cam Video. I appreciate it and thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much Julie! :) And that's such a great story, kids really can be more interested in stuff than we sometimes think :)
❤ thank you Vera. Watching this in 2024 in a busy period at work. ❤
All great tips. One of mine is having quiet moments with my dogs. This only works when they have had their adequate exercise, and they are calm, and sleepy :-) Their big brown eyes and doggy smiles and soft fur lift my spirits, even if this connection is only for a minute or two.
I love it!! Used to be the same with my childhod doggy :)

I love that idea, thanks for sharing Amanda! :)

Corinna, are you referring to the conservatory near Como zoo?!
Allisa Bondy Yes, I am. 😊 Have you been before?

I was doing that this summer and then my Keurig died, I switched to instant coffee and forgot about it. My daughter bought me a french press for christmas so I plan to incorporate it into my routine again.
Another thing I like is to stay after my aquafit class or after I swim laps and soak in the hot tub, or sit in the steam room. I don't always have time. I also consider exercise to be self care.
Great video. It's great to see your perspectives on this. I like your balanced approach, similar to how we coach. Thank you!
Vera, I always love your content. Would you be so sweet as to link the Yoga with Adrienne video you mention? Thanks a bunch!
Thanks Francesca 🤗 I can't remember in which videos she explains the foot massage, since she does it in a lot of videos haha. But I'll link a few that are my favorites when I want to do some self care and wind down. ua-cam.com/video/_FIvJdwePiM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/jHZPtn15agE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/tD_l3fDTFyg/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/4JaCcp39iVI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/BPK9WNtpBgk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/v7SN-d4qXx0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/wwPzwZo6vdk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/iglbdN1tmF0/v-deo.html
Watching your video for the 1st time in 2020 is in itself self care. Subscribed
Thanks so much! 🙂
glad to discover your channel🫶🏻
My 2020 routine will include going to a yoga class, floatation, Indian head massage, every week.. anything that allows me some time to just switch off.. I live a highly stressful life, and it has become very evident I can no longer ignore my needs.. 2020 will be about change.. For the better 🤗 Thank you for another great video 😊
You're very welcome and I'm wishing you a balanced 2020 with lots of self care. I've never done floating but I'm curious about it haha
😮😮 sounds very interesting!! I'm going to need to get over my claustrophobia though hahaha
Happy New Year to you, too, Vera!
🤗🌹💖

With a little kid it’s quite hard to find time for selfcare. But from time to time I have a bath, do yoga or go jogging. Thanks for great ideas! I’ll make a list. With love from Russia:)
Yes I can imagine. Wishing you a lovely 2020 with good moments of self care in between :)
Simple Happy Zen Thank you ☺️
Thank you for this helpful video. I would also add care of your body and environment or space. Like taking a bath or walk or cleaning your room for 20 minutes. You mentioned eating a healthy meal, also drinking a glass of water to stay hydrated. Just some more ideas ✨

Taking a hot, one hour bath, works wonders for my mind, body and soul💚
Thank you for sharing✌💛☺
In the weekend i use my bathing time as my alone time. Doesnt always work with 3 kids in the house, but with papa around to keep them busy i get it done mostly
Ah yes.... I don't have a bath in my home unfortunately but it's a dream for the future haha. So lovely
Thanks so much and enjoy your weekend naps! 🤗
