- I LOVE Shiny Starter Pokemon. So much so that I decided to hunt for them all! However, I decided to add a little twist. Every shiny starter that I found had to be MARKED. No mark? Doesn’t count! This is a video recapping my months-long journey of finding every single Marked Shiny Starter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

@@diamondminer9515 That's what I nicknamed my female fennekin. It wasn't shiny but, that was my first roll. I was ready to soft reset until I got a female starter. The most I soft resetsed for a female starter was 7 times for a poplio.

What's your favourite shiny and mark combo? Mine is probably Slakoth with the slump mark, but crafty mark Vespiquen is awesome too

I felt the Totodile experience with Treecko. Did a Grass Sandwich and got an Alomomola, did end up getting the Treecko after some time. Tepig had me double taking quite a bit. I kept seeing the yellow patch on its snout and thinking it was the yellow body the shiny had
It’s awesome seeing all those marks on the starters! I’m crazy lucky to have hatched a shiny sprigatito with a mini mark, I’ll likely never have that kind of luck again lol

Totodile has actually been tied with Scorbunny the past few days for my favorite. I also realized something about the sport ball, it has a net and green energy. Fits the soccer theme a lot when you think about it!

Kudos to you for doing this full hunt, that takes mad patience! I have one shiny marked starter pokemon. Its a piplup with the angry mark, which I love because imagining this tiny bird just constantly pissed off is really funny.
Fennekin will always be my favorite starter; all three forms have incredible shinies. It's just sad because it really is the starter that time forgot; it has so many things going for it, but it ended up in the most lopsided starter trio of all time in terms of popularity.
Also, last week when I was going for a destiny mark popplio I managed to find a thorny mark one. Popplio the Pompous is just too perfect to not mention.
I love Fennekin and it's line so much! It's the first ever starter I chose and basically the first Pokémon I ever got. It holds a special place in my heart. It makes me sad that so many people hate Delphox. I mean.. I get it but it still looks really nice to me. I'm really hoping that if it gets a mega in ZA, it'll look a lot better and hopefully people will warm up to it. Delphox doesn't deserve hate, leave ma girl alone >:(

My favorite starter is Cyndaquil. Crystal was my first ever mainline game and Cynda was my pick, so there's a lot of nostalgia that I associate with the little guy.

Modest is a good nature for Snivy! it has the same base stats for sp atk/atk, and it's hidden ability is contrary! So if you build as a special attacker it can learn leaf storm and do big damage B)
Sobble the Sleepy in a Dream Ball is Perfect! I got a Shiny Alolan Raichu from the last event, and caught it in a Dream Ball when I found out it had the Sleepy-Time Mark.

my favorite starters have to be alolan graveler and scyther and tyrogue and rellor and litleo and girafarig and bruxish (i like that one twice as much) and exeggutor and tentacruel!
Starters are the three pokemon that you have to choose between at the start of a game, none of those are actually starters 👍

I was crazy enough to do this challenge as well, but I only accepted rare/personality/weather/size marks. I think I had 375 phases total, and I made sure to catch an extra charmander, cyndaquil, rowlett, and oshawott since I evolved them in to their final forms, and had an extra charizard for both Megas! Once new starter forms are released for ZA I’ll get those too!
Loved the vid! My favorite is froakie. The personality marked jumbo squirtle was iNSANE. As was competitive natures for all 3 DPP starters. Congrats!

Not gonna lie though, 5 minutes in, I had the horrifying realisation you'd need to get a marked Cyndaquil and I was like 'oh no', but I'm glad it wasn't worse than it was
Not done a lot of mark hunts myself, but had some fun ones, with my most recent being Alolachu. Don't think I could ever pull of something *this* big and tedious though!
This is what I am doing for all my final evolutions, making sure my shinies have an inherent mark of some sort.

Choosing a favorite starter out of all of them is tricky. I like my favs from each gen for different reasons, though mainly it comes down to the design and vibes I get from them. Overall, I can't pick a single one but I can narrow it down to three; my own trio, if you will. Totodile, Rowlet, and Fuecoco. They were the ones I picked for their respective gens, and I just loved the designs all the way through their evolution line. They've got so much personality and I enjoyed using them throughout the games.

I put this on while hunting for a torchic for my shiny starter dex, and despite it taking 5 sandos total and not having a mark, I found the shiny just a few seconds after you did in the video! Thanks for the good luck charm haha!

Man. I would not have had the patience to sit for that long. I did a caterpie hunt in lets go last year and had a catch combo of over 120 before I finally got it. Two and a half hours, and when it ended I promptly screamed into my pillow. I now do not like Caterpie or method because of that. Wish I had your legendary attention span. Keep up the good work, and thank you for always brightening my day. :)

Nice work, I completed this quest also! I decided to go for all personality marks tho, so the 1/100 ones. My only exception was when I got Froakie the Recluse, that was a sweet find. Chikorita took the longest for some reason, the 39th phase was Chikorita the Arrogant lol.

I hunted starters for my birthday because I wanted the Destiny mark and got it on Mudkip, my favourite. Love Ball was an absolute must!

This video popped up in my recommendations and I'm so happy it did, it's made me subscribe for starters (haha, pun not intended).
Watching this video brought back both nostalgia and PTSD for me. I shiny hunted every Pokémon in S/V starting last year and I finally finished this year.
Regarding starters, Cyndaquil and Totodile I actually ended up hatching in Crystal using the shiny Ditto method because I tried hunting in these games and I lost the will to live.
My worst shiny starter hunts had to be Chimchar, Oshawott and Sobble. I fell super lucky with Sobble though as I'd caught one and then the shiny gods decided to take pity on me and sent me two shiny Sobble sitting next to each other, so I completed that line with some sanity still.
I also did a birthday shiny hunt in April where I would only catch marked shinies (except the Uncommon Mark) and I included some starters on my list, Mudkip being one as it is one of my favourite starters. It took me 9 sandwiches to find a shiny, which wasn't marked, and then another 3 before I found a marked shiny. Thankfully it had the Destiny Mark so it felt very worth it but man, I was tested for sure.
Anyway, enough of my rambling. Super happy to find this video and your channel, I loved the music choices in this video btw. I look forward to checking out more of your content and congrats on all these shinies 😊.

Never have I seen shiny mark luck so similar to mine. Won't get marks most of the time (or get heccin sociable), but when the mark does appear, it's a cool personality mark. I have a double marked Alcremie from when the Milcery event outbreaks happened. I got her with the Prideful mark, and she got the Jumbo mark too. Her name is Holly and she is the pride and joy of my shiny collection. A similar situation is my shiny Altaria, Wendy, who was found with the Sociable mark, but also wound up with the Jumbo mark.
My favourite starter is Pooplio. I have so many good memories with Jojo the Primarina from Moon. There will never be a Pokemon starter more beloved to me. And in Violet, I recently got myself a shiny Destiny marked Popplio. She is Jolie the Chosen one. It was meant to be

I got a shiny poplio on my birthday about 3 months ago and it's a female with destiny mark ; the poplio line is my favourite pokemon by the way

My favorite shiny starter is Fennekin. Also Rowlet the Sleepy is perfect for it bcuz it always falls asleep in the Sun and Moon anime lol

Picking a favorite starter is so hard. Always biased towards the ones you picked in game tho. My first ever starter was Piplup! Then I got Totodile, Oshawott, Chespin, Torchic (never finished alpha sapphire tbh but Torchic had been one of my faves since I was little), Litten (but honestly it’s probably my least fave of the alolan starters, no hate tho we love that kitty), and Quaxly. I was also a huge squirtle fan despite never playing a game where you picked gen 1 starters. And whenever I play minecraft with mods like pixelmon or cobblemon, I switch it up a lot but Mudkip is one of my fave picks!
It’s really hard to pick a fave starter tho…. Fave shiny for purely the first stages of the starters might have to be Fennekin tho, can’t go wrong with purplish dark grey. It’s actually one of the only things I tried hunting for but I’ve never been a real shiny hunter so I never got it.
Funny though came to my mind. What if all the starter pokemon in the scarlet violet dlc were every starter that was bred and abandoned bc it was not shiny lol
It's a hard choice... For ages Cyndaquil was my favorite starter, despite my first gen being alllll the way back in Gen 1 with Pokemon Blue, but at this point I think my favorite Fire starter is Fennekin, and Top 3 starters overall are Turtwig, Rowlet, and Sprigatito. IDK why but the Grass starters suddenly shot way, way up my list in recent years!
(My favorite Water starters are probably the three most recent ones too -- Popplio, Sobble, and Quaxly -- but Squirtle's my fave Gen 1 starter...)

I have a favourite starter from each Generation. Some of the others are ok, just not as good, such as Piplup (Nothing against it battle wise, but it’s shiny and shiny Froakie make me want to give up any shiny hunting if I get close to either of them). Great video as per usual, I’m praying for your sanity after all that now.
