Saver 100 for me as well. No fuzz, you are so right. The center pull is marvellous. A 4 in size... a bit bigger for me, so I always do a swatch or use a hook smaller to get the look I want. Saver 100, once blocked, has a tendency to expand more than others compared yarn, just to take into consideration here. Thank you, good info!

Ah, thank you so much! I wondered about the differences and almost decided to buy a bunch of saver the next time i order just to test it. I do love the fluffiness of favorite, it feels just so cozy yet so lightweight for capes, shawls, blankets, etc etc. Making a huge blanket atm, with solid grannys and its just a pleasure to work with because of its softness. Favorite really is my favorite xD Oh, and you can use center pull too. It does do that "yarn vomit" thing, but otherwise easy to use from center. I always do that, cause i hate rolling yarns. (and yarn bowls and yarn holders)
On the one that didn’t pull from the center, you should be able to pull from the center of the other end. That’s how a lot of US yarns are anyway. You may have to dig a bit for it.
I appreciate the discussion of the two yarns. You have helped me decide not buy the favorite for the project I am planning. But what about the difference between the saver and the saver 100.

Just wondering, and this question is really for any 3 vs. 4 weight yarn, in the long run will a skein of savor and a skein of favorite end up making the same size blanket? I have always noticed that 3 weight yarn always has more yardage. If it takes 1 skein of a #3 to make a 4 foot x 4 foot blanket could you use 1 skein of the bulkier 4 weight and end up with the same 4x4 blanket? I hope that makes sense. I just don't have enough experience to know the answer to that mind boggling question. Lol
I just realised I have Favourite Wool not Favourite, it’s 50% wool 50% acrylic. I was so confused by the comparison not knowing there were different favourites! It’s also thinner than expected but is very pretty.

I have a cousin with severe autism who won’t wear any clothing that’s even slightly rough or scratchy, and I want to knit her a sweater, so I was wondering what the softest yarns are that would serve that purpose well? (Ideally not too expensive since I’m a broke student haha)

Me too! I’m allergic to acrylic yarn. Even mixes with acrylic. I use cottons, bamboo and polyesters. Not a lot of color choices

Red Heart Super Saver is very scratchy. It is one of the worst yarns I have ever worked with.
