Trumpeter 1/48 HH-34 Sikorsky Full Build

Today on the workbench, the first helicopter on this channel. The HH-34 Sikorsky. The kit is from Trumpeter, 1/35 scale.
PE set is from Eduard.

My favourite part is always where the wash gets wiped off. Love the idea with the round circle corners in the canopy masking!

I've made several Trumpeter kits and, while the overall quality isn't as good as Tamiya or Hasegawa, it's good enough and Trumpeter kits definitely give you the most bang for your buck. Very good value for the money.

There is a seam which should have been filled, I know they can be easily missed I should know. It’s on top of the fuselage spine. Otherwise lovely build. I picked up a couple of tips, so thank you for that.

OK, I’m curious. Why the circles of tape at the window edges under the straight border strip? 🤔 Most people tend to just cut around the edge profile.

Cool build from a ugly chopper. At least i think those Sikorsky,s are as ugly as my mother in law. But a nice detail is that the hairdryer has also Wheatering on it.
