In previous videos, there have been short clips of a Cougar 5th Wheel to show that the ceramic coating will work on RV's other than Airstreams. That 5th wheel is mine, and it has been just over 1 year since Bryan did the ceramic coating at Vinnie's. Super easy to clean, and it keeps the 5th wheel looking brand new. It is not cheap, but has been worth the money. Highly recommended.
January 2025, just picked up my 27’ FC FBT from Master Applied Coatings in Tallahassee (Vinnie’s). Three day process and trailer looks great. Not cheap but should keep the trailer looking great for many years to come.
I don’t have the budget you guys have so I settled for Meguiar’s Ceramic Detailer. Not professional, but it works very well. Use it on my truck too and found the same results. I’m a believer in ceramic
That drone excuse will only work for so long lol. I grew up with a father who always said 'do you want to do it or do you want to do it right?' Looks like Kristy wants it done right. Great advice in the video thanks much
Watched your video when it first came out. After trying to wax our Oliver 2 to 3 times a year, I said enough when I found Vennies had a branch, Master Applied Coatings open in Tallahassee, we took it there and had it coated two weeks ago. We just beat the hurricane heading north as we left it 5 days to cure. We arrived in Nashville after dark and the entire front of the trailer was covered with dead smashed bugs. Bryan said they wouldn’t hurt the new finish, just don’t touch the surface for a week. That night it rained and the next morning to my surprise the smashed bugs were all gone. We couldn’t have asked for nicer people and service from Master Applied Coatings. I’m looking forward to not waxing the Oliver. Once it stops raining I’m going to wash her as recommended and watch her shine.
Picked up my Airstream International FBT from Vinnie’s this morning after her “Ceramic” Coating. She looks fabulous. Also cleaner than the day I got her new from the dealership! Now to tow her the 700 miles back to Washington State to give that coating a work-out! Thanks Loloho for letting us know this service exists!
We are at Vinny and Brian‘s in Benicia California right now getting our globetrotter ceramic coat put on. It’s your videos that got us here. Drop off Monday pick up Thursday. Thanks guys for all your hard work and referring Brian and Vinnie. There as nice as they are good.
Pleasure meeting you Tony! So sorry about your brand new F150 transmission going out after drop-off yesterday :(. While you get that fixed hopefully we will surely be working on your Airstream.
Vinny coated my 2018 Airstream in January 2022. So far, very happy and agree washing is much easier. Brian walked me through these steps post application. We had a big rain storm in March, and it literally washed itself. Same experience at a campground in April. My opinion, it is really worth the investment. It stays cleaner longer and cleans faster with less labor. They coated the outside windows and they look great with minimum cleaning. The front rock guards also clean much better (they never cleaned very well before the coating). My unit is stored outside and corrosion was the main reason for the ceramic coating. As we know microfiber doesn’t soak up water. Brian recommended the Wholly Mammouth from Chemical Guys, and these work great. Three will dry the trailer. We also use a leaf blower to help dry and get in the chrome band that holds water. Overall, very happy. BTW, it was your video that sold me on the idea!!
Thanks much for your detailed post. glad to hear that your experience is similar to ours. Brilliant idea with the leaf blower! We will try that next time for sure. 👍
Hi Robert, I was curious to know if the ceramic treatment fixes the corrosion you had on your airstream, or just stopped it from spreading further. Is the corrosion less noticeable after the treatment? Thanks.
Sure would like to have that ceramic coating...maybe in the future. Thank you for your videos. My husband watches LOTS of RV UA-cam videos..and other stuff. Honestly, your videos are head and shoulders above ALL the others. I always enjoy your stuff and learn a lot from you guys. And Sean brings a smile to my face with his humor in every video! You guys are our favs!! Thanks!
We had our 2022 25’ globetrotter ceramic coated at Vinnie’s new place (Master Applied Coatings) in Tallahassee in February. We dropped it on the way home from Ft Wilderness and picked it up 2 weeks later. They seemed to have done a thorough job and it looks great. Nice guys for sure. Too early to tell how it will hold up but we expect good things!
An older video but really useful. I use the same pressure washer, 2 bucket method to wash my cars, trucks and RV. I use a separate 2 buckets for the wheels and tires, and Aerospace 303 the tires. One of my colleagues was an F-15 crew chief and they used it on their wing commander's jet. If it's good enough for the jet, it's good enough for my RV tires.
I just picked up our 2022 FC 25FB yesterday from having it Ceramic coated in Tallahassee. While driving home we went through a number of rain showers and spray off cars and trucks. It all pretty much just beaded off the trailer. I think I am really going to like the coating!!
Thanks for the washing tips. We have a fiberglass trailer so I use marine wax but my TV is a 2019 with a ceramic coating applied when new and aside from a yearly maintenance touch up the paint looks better than new vehicles rolling off the assembly line and washing is a breeze. Thanks
I dropped off my Airstream this morning to Bryan's Master Applied coating in Tallahassee Fl, Looking forward to seeing the results and ease of maintenance. Three other travel trailers were dropped this morning as well, another Airstream and Lance and Oliver .
Our Truck and camper has been ceramic coating applied. Love it. Our F-350 is Black and looks clean all the time... Great Video CUL Jake and Vernice Minnesota 🇺🇸
We had our Airstream and F-250 done at the Tallahassee location. The whole process was very professional and the results incredible. We dropped off on Monday and it was ready Friday afternoon, although they had us pick up on Saturday due to bad storms with tornado/hail possibility on Friday. Was nice they were concerned about out trailer to come in on Saturday so our truck/trailer could stay inside to wait out the storms. It certainly makes cleaning much easier - bugs have never come off the front of the truck/trailer so easily. The guys in Tallahassee gave us recommendations on wash mitts and drying towels before we left (same items Bryan uses except I just have the mitt, not the extension pole). A leaf blower works well to get a good portion of the water off and out of cracks/crevices. And like the other videos state, this is NOT your auto parts store DIY ceramic.
Great video! I washed my Coachmen Apex Nano travel trailer last week after removing the cover and then it rained the next day. I will wash it again with these great tips in mind. Enjoyed an epic trip in Arches National Park!
Glad to see a new video Sean and Christy! I really look forward to seeing your channel and new videos. It appeared you might’ve taken an international vacation? Either way, great to have you back!!!
Thanks for the drone tip, Sean! Don't have an AS & do the poor man's ceramic coating in the bottle (Meguiar's) on my RV. Change my soapy water frequently, but will now do the 2 bucket method & microfiber scrubber rather than soft brush. Thank you
We had our 2021 23FB Ceramic coated in Tallahassee also. It is simply beautiful. No longer is cleaning a chore. Everything stated about this coating is absolutely true. Worth the long term investment. Dr. Dean
Check out Alice and Martin's Kenworth they had Ceramic coated in Phoenix... Truckintogether on you tube.... it's a 2009 W900 and it looks almost liquid red!!
also try the spray off the microfiber pad between putting the pad back in the soapy water. Removing the dirt and stopping it from getting recycled on the surface will surely prevent a lot of premature wear and tear to the surface of what you are cleaning. RV, MH & vehicles.
Thanks for posting this. I have always used an RV brush on a pole. Looks like the microfiber pad on a pole is better choice. Which one do you recommend?
My 2017 International Serenity 28 needs its 1st bath since I bought it. Its at a storage facility with no water so I'll to take water with me. I have a 30 gal water bladder. Will that be enough? I have a small pressure washer. Plus buckets for this 2 bucket method. Curious about water needs.
That is a unique situation. To be honest, we have not attempted washing our trailer with a limited water supply. Well, actually, we have done so at coin operated washing facilities, and frankly it always takes more coins to rinse than you expect. You will need to be quite judicious with your water usage. Let me know how it turns out!
The price is based on length. Shoot them an email with your make/model/length, and they can tell you the exact price. The best part is that you’ll never have to wax them ever again!
Is the 9h ceramic coating. is it the same as the spray on that you did? Also can this be done diy ? If yes what kind of kit that’s used? Thanks! Keep video’s coming..
Hi Dudley, there are many types of "ceramics" or claimed ceramics popping up all over. Some are just quick spray on and surely DIY which provides some hydrophobic properties but are not permanent or long lasting. What we do is the absolute most extreme multi-layer/multi-functioning permanent ceramic coatings specifically for Airstream trailers and now all recreational vehicles. And in no way is what we do a DIY project. It takes a week on average from start to finish but when it is completed it is done right and with the most protection possible. This is higher than a 9H but don't get caught up in the 9H. You can have a proclaimed 9H that last 6-12 months.
Question! Small camper application for a teardrop camper.. it is a aluminum exterior . What the cost be the same as a auto truck or car? What would be the lead time?
Sean, which "Car Wash" brand do you and Christy use on your trailer? Bristol said to use a Meguiar's car wash and there are several on Amazon to choose from. I would appreciate your thoughts. TIA
The million dollar question. Although the coatings are very hard and are designed to protect against non contact threats ex: SUN, UV, etc hail is a contact object. Size, velocity, shape all play into hail damage and it is a projectile so although I would say unofficially it can help with some degree, golf ball size hail will put dents in your Airstream panels.
Hi guys! I'm just noticing little Baby Girl's front paws. What's going on there? Our doggie has something going on with his rear ACL and he's having trouble walking now. It's just terrible. Like always, love your videos!
Hi, thanks for asking about Baby Girl. She has one front paw that kind of flops when she walks. Since our family got her when she was one year old, we don’t know for certain whether this was an injury when she was a puppy, or whether she was born with this issue. I tend to think that she was born with it. Recently, she had an unrelated issue with her paw also. She had a small abscess on the paw that required some antibiotic treatment and it did affect her walking gait just a bit. But overall she is very healthy for a 12-year-old and gets around great! Thanks for asking ☺️
Yep, I agree, one of my many faults :) But if you are able to endure my accurate longer than needed discussion the info is very helpful. We see so much damage to Airstreams, vehicles RVs/MHs from improper washing that we are all guilty of (including me) it is useful. I do need practice to explain it quicker. :)
I apologized for not listening to all the advice. I wish it could have been a little.bit more concise is all. Ty for the feedback I wish I had elaborated that in my original post.
