I have tried many many speakers too along with stormbox , and I can wholeheartedly disagree. Just Flip 6 leaves it in the dust, so I don't know how this is comparable to Charge 5.
For me I've found that the Tribit StormBox Micro 2 for portability with the StormBox Blast for group listening have been the perfect combination. The Micro 2 for it's size is a remarkable speaker in terms of features and sound, I actually carry it on my manbag everywhere I go because of how small yet mighty it is. And the Blast? Need I say anything about that? I find it shocking how being a long time JBL person having owned, Lord, tons of them, that some no-name brand comes along and sweeps them off their feet. I only recommend Tribit these days...especially for the price! The Blast constantly being under $150 on Amazon is an insane bargain! Anyways, thanks Alan for all these reviews! You're very entertaining and informative and I've never found it "difficult" to watch your videos...ignore the haters, you're doing this correctly.
It's literally the same story for me, i had the JBL charge 3, Xtreme 1, flip 4 and clip 3 and now i sold all of them and i use the stormbox micro 2 and the stormbox blast like you, they are way Better. I also have the tribit xsound mega and thats a good middle size speaker also because It has a carrying strap.

not as such, its a crowded area with several good options. i would probably choose the 300 over the stormbox 2. but its not much more money for the motion boom.
Another interesting detailed review straight from Alan's kingdom😅 I didn't know Soundcore glow only had one driver, that's a mono speaker, i prefer how the Tribit xsound plus 2 sounds overall compared to others & the form factor too, I'm not a big fan of 360° speakers really I wish Tribit will come out with speakers in form factor of mifa wildbox, jbl xtreme 3, motion boom, it'll be really nice plus party speakers too, it's all about company's budget anyways More power to you Alan Cheers!
Hi Allen, I recently purchased a W-King d320 and was impressed with the sound quality. It's got app support as well. Any plans on reviewing this one? Cheers!
@@alanrossreviews I agree out of the box it's not great and lacking in depth. But with the equalizer in Rock it sounds good. I got the (upgraded) blue version btw which has got rgb lights on both ends. Don't know if the sound is any different.
I'm torn between the soundcore 3 and the stormbox 2, cuz same price. Can you suggest which one is better I'm still new to this speaker thing. PS: I like bass
Don't think its possible yet, though it would be really interested if you could review the Brane X speaker that (people say) can go really, really low, has more bass and goes way louder than the JBL boombox 3 in a smaller package.
I have the Bose Soundlink Max from the Amazon Vine program. It is on the level of a JBL xtreme 2 in terms of bass loudness. It goes a bit deeper in bass. It has a very strong stereo effect that for the most part sounds really good. Occasionally I hear a track that sounds WAY too diffuse. The major downside is that it is marketed as a party speaker when it doesn't stand a chance against a Stormbox Blast or a JBLPartybox 100. Under two steps above mid volume it sounds really really good. Above that the bass stops and it gets screechy. At max it sounds horrible. Also ther are certain bass notes that overdrive the woofer like G-Easy-Tumblr Girls opening bass kick. It's an overpriced mixed bag. It is best for more lower volume listening with the deeper bass and strong stereo effect than a party speaker. Sorry for long novel comment
Same scenario here. My options are Xsound mega, Stormbox Box 2 and Xsound plus 2. I ended up getting Xsound plus 2. No regrets, the sound quality is one of the best and it's loud as well. I'm using Alan's EQ. It is much better than the xbass off preset and Maxsound Plus traditional eq.
I have the Earfun UBoom L. Not terribly happy with the sound, though I haven't changed the firmware to 0.45 or whatever it is. Tribit has the Stormbox 2 40% off now. Would anyone really recommend I snag it and use it instead of my Earfun?
@@alanrossreviews Thanks for your response. The Uboom is on the latest firmware. Don't know what number it is. I mostly listen indoors, but have also used it outdoors at the beach and park for very small gatherings or by myself.
@@alanrossreviews I thought these two speakers were in the same class. I basically want an all around good sounding speaker that is fairly loud and has good bass. I love music and listen to all kinds.
@@alanrossreviews Thanks. I have the Stormbox Blast and am happy with the sound, but the battery life is terrible, which is quite disappointing. So I kind of wanted to get another Tribit if I were to buy another speaker. The Soundcore motion boom seems like a good choice for a smaller sized speaker. (I have their budget earbuds and, for the price, am really happy with the sound.) Listening to your sound tests on this video and on the one where you compare the motion boom to the motion plus, I would say overall the Motion Boom sounds better than the Stormbox 2.

Had to comment for your algorithm, the “crybaby” version had me laughing. The whole point of me seeking your content out is for the longer form, nuance and incidentals thown in with good usable information on which to make purchasing choices with. That’s it! You ask nothing for doing it and doubtless put your own funds into the pursuit to boot, so thank you Alan.
People think as a youtuber you make a ton of money even as a small channel. Reality for someone like me that refuses to do paid reviews my amazon and ad links are maybe 30% of my total outlay for the channel. And thats just what i spend on speakers. Then i have bigger outlays for equipment whether it be cameras, software or stuff for recording and measuring. So it is hard when people moan about what i do and reddit thinks monetising my work is ok.
As always it’s a perspective thing mate, folks on the outside always think you’re going to be bathed in freebies and lavished with sponsorships and the like. There’s the hobbiest youtube (which personally i think is the heart and soul) and then there is the business youtube and that’s where everything we hate about the outside world and it’s fakery - finds itself into our entertainment and hobbys. Keep doing you mate, for as long as you still get enjoyment from it, same way to approach all these pursuits! Cheers again 🍻

@@rogguino9298 none are balanced but mega is way more meaty
@@alanrossreviews thank you very much
Another interesting detailed review straight from Alan's kingdom😅
I didn't know Soundcore glow only had one driver, that's a mono speaker, i prefer how the Tribit xsound plus 2 sounds overall compared to others & the form factor too, I'm not a big fan of 360° speakers really
I wish Tribit will come out with speakers in form factor of mifa wildbox, jbl xtreme 3, motion boom, it'll be really nice plus party speakers too, it's all about company's budget anyways
More power to you Alan
Cheers!
no the stormbox has two drivers, one on each side
1:03 or down 😁. You have one on your table.
Yup easy to mix up 😁
I thought the new one had USB Type-C charging? The old one had micro USB. Correct?
i think there was two iterations of gen 1
Hi Allen, I recently purchased a W-King d320 and was impressed with the sound quality. It's got app support as well. Any plans on reviewing this one? Cheers!
i wasnt that impressed, its one of many i have here that i simply havent had time to review. seems best for vocals?
@@alanrossreviews I agree out of the box it's not great and lacking in depth. But with the equalizer in Rock it sounds good. I got the (upgraded) blue version btw which has got rgb lights on both ends. Don't know if the sound is any different.
Do you have any hints for stormbox blast 2?
All i know is it's coming but literally nothing else. I dont think its out to beta testers yet.
Show us what the jbl boom box 2 sounds like connected via AUX from a portable CD PLAYER PLUGGED IB VS WITHOUT. Plug In the boombox
@@paulajackson2842 🤦
I'm torn between the soundcore 3 and the stormbox 2, cuz same price. Can you suggest which one is better I'm still new to this speaker thing.
PS: I like bass
neither are great for bass, maybe step up to soundcore boost?
@@alanrossreviews thanks for the insights
Don't think its possible yet, though it would be really interested if you could review the Brane X speaker that (people say) can go really, really low, has more bass and goes way louder than the JBL boombox 3 in a smaller package.
Another for the list ✔️
@@alanrossreviews bahahaha here another one. Sony ult field 7 😂
Will you do a review on the new bose SoundFlex max?
well i am buying it but I badly need a break right now. but yeah i will be getting it for sure and its on order.
Thanks for the response, Alan. Take care of yourself, buddy.
@@spin7380 i was hoping for better
What is your all time fave speaker for 2024😊
Tribit Strombox 2 vs Tribit XSound Plus 2
Which one should I buy ?
I like loud and heavy bass music.
But if you're a bass head. You may consider getting bogasing G4 or Xsound Mega.
I have the Earfun UBoom L. Not terribly happy with the sound, though I haven't changed the firmware to 0.45 or whatever it is. Tribit has the Stormbox 2 40% off now. Would anyone really recommend I snag it and use it instead of my Earfun?
they are two very different speakers. quite different. depends what use you are going get from it. what firmware is your uboom running?
@@alanrossreviews Thanks for your response. The Uboom is on the latest firmware. Don't know what number it is. I mostly listen indoors, but have also used it outdoors at the beach and park for very small gatherings or by myself.
@@alanrossreviews I thought these two speakers were in the same class. I basically want an all around good sounding speaker that is fairly loud and has good bass. I love music and listen to all kinds.
maybe look at motion boom
@@alanrossreviews Thanks. I have the Stormbox Blast and am happy with the sound, but the battery life is terrible, which is quite disappointing. So I kind of wanted to get another Tribit if I were to buy another speaker. The Soundcore motion boom seems like a good choice for a smaller sized speaker. (I have their budget earbuds and, for the price, am really happy with the sound.) Listening to your sound tests on this video and on the one where you compare the motion boom to the motion plus, I would say overall the Motion Boom sounds better than the Stormbox 2.
Hi Brother i am still waiting for the Soundcore Rave Party 2 review i know you have that speaker so please make it fast everyone in Lithuania 🇱🇹 want to see that !!!
Bro, alan said that he will make now video once a week! Alan is older than us, youngies which have a lot of energy. Alan is now probably resting so gave him sometime
nah i said at BEST i can do a video a week. its not age its time, i work full time and have other commitments,. youtube was only ever meant to be something for me to chill with but its become quite stressful.
Whats your thoughts allan? Is stormbox box 2 more better ?
Different, for me better but less bass is not good.
It looks like bt speaker technology hasn't improved over the years, and newer speakers from a specific series aren't iterations, but speakers with a different configuration or tuning.
i think its investment that has gone nowhere. no attempt to improve hardware more they go for bigger margins.
If only a speaker likr this could have tweeter on top and bottom and woofer in middle on 1 single side
the stormbox pro has tweeters
@alanrossreviews need a woofer in between em in my opinion alan and all facing one way not a fan of the gimicky 360 sound bologna till then I will just keep rockin my wking d320
Cheers again 🍻
try putting the video sleed in 0.75x and i think his video is better. I think he purposely increase the speed to make the video shorter
only treble is better on the new one...
And loudness, did you follow from a playlist? 🤔 😁
@@alanrossreviews yupp
@@DominikReviews good job 😁 gonna publish later on today.

This vs earfun vs soundcore
👍👍👍
Well I'm back, I got a Stormbox 2 for free so I'm watching this again 😂
what do you think of it?
@@alanrossreviewsI just got it, I don’t like it’s upper mids (listening on axis for stereo), everything else is decent.
Some EQ needs to be done 😊
@@ThibautMahringer i listen 45 degrees on, between front and side
@@alanrossreviews I did some quick EQing that does work pretty okay on axis for me. But the peak 3 to 4khz cannot really be fixed from the EQ, I wish I had the soundcore parametric EQ with it, I could make it perfect for my tastes 😭
@@ThibautMahringer if all else fails could always use third party app 🤷♀🤷♀
Definitely need v-shape as my ears get worse.
but you lose mids clarity
They should stop doing 360° speakers.
And and put their drivers on the front for consistent sound !
well i guess thats where the xsound plus comes in? the stormbox must have sold well i assume.
@@alanrossreviews What I seek is a Charge 3 / Flip 4 sucessor lol, with passives on the side, with a good stereo sound. 😋
(No the Uboom L doesn't count no matter the firmware)
Only Bose have figured the 360° design, everyone else is struggling and we're getting speakers that sound inconsistent depending on where we are around it.
With a traditional stereo design, there's no ambiguity, you face the speaker, it sounds good or not, the end 😂
@@ThibautMahringer what about bose soundlink revolve plus? or minirigs?
@@alanrossreviews Bose speakers sound unpleasant to me, never heard one where I didn’t hear a big hole in the mids and way too sharp treble.
And minirigs are great, but the fact you need several units and a sub turn me off.
I have Charge 5 that I really like, but it’s very much mono sounding. I’d love to get a good stereo speaker for the size, but I see none that are truly interesting.
Oh well, I keep hope, Stormbox 2 won’t be the one though 🤷♂️
@@ThibautMahringer Nah, you probably didn't heared about Stockwell 2

Come on Alan, I'm getting just a little impatient with how you drag on these review videos. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the detail, because no one else is doing it. But for the sake of the sanity of all of us who tribally support you, find ways to condense it please. 43 minutes for this video is just way too long. It should really be half that. And you'd still be able to output the vast majority of your findings. Your viewership will increase and you'll turn on a lot more people to the fun of critical listening and analysis of small form factor portable speakers. If this criticism goes in one ear and out the other, so be it. I'll still watch you and skip ahead or play at 1.5x speed. And I'll feel guilty as I always do, like I'm cheating you.
Alan should still make his videos as long as they are now, but maybe cut most interesing moments and upload them as youtube shorts?
i tell you what i will do for you and the reddit wankrs, i will stop and do something else. you guys dont deserve independent honest reviews who just want to enjoy what they do. i certainly don't need you cry babies in my life.
i was taking aim that cry baby! youve been a big support.
lol that’s why they skip forward button exists.
What a bloody cheek! Go and watch someone else if you don't like it. Plenty of shills out there making short videos for people with low attention spans.
Is this guy on drugs? 😂😂😂
