after watching and reading so much into Lee, i genuinely believe he would’ve smashed them all, even Sykes. Just a shame we will never know just how talented and how good of a fighter he was.

His arms look long as fuck in this picture! Muscular and thick too. Rare combination. He looked like a phenomenal athlete, especially in those blue running shorts sat on top of that car. Long limbs, broad square shoulders, narrow hips and waist, big strong muscular thighs. A born fighter/exceptional physical specimen. Not like Viv Graham, stumpy and muscle bound and all steroid pumped and a bit fat with it. Lee would have destroyed Viv, and I think Viv knew that and that's why he wouldn't face Lee's challenges.

Lee would've done viv quick. Bang bang fast as fuck. A natural fighter who with his psychotic streak & no fear of anybody. Viv was a pumped up middleweight full of steroids. A good fighter but not special like this lad. I've been next to this lad in 1991 in prison and in the Havana nightclub later on that year. An aura about him I've never seen before or since. A knockout artist with either hand. Every prison he went to which was over 20 he took over & battered the top man. This is the truth & why he's still talked about. Took 12 screws to keep him & sykes apart as they were in the same nick in Leeds & duffy hated him & wanted to smash him. A prime sykes would of been a problem but at the time was in his 40s & the duffy was 25 & would've chinned him no problem. My opinion.

    • @leogreen6116
      @leogreen6116 5 років тому +1

@Jamie Boyle I see Jimmy it's your book.
As you say I've bought the book and read it.
You say form your own opinion and I have that Lee was a bully.
However if you ask me did I respect and admire the guy then that also has to be a massive yes.
We do look up to these types of men.
But I've seen this in Newcastle before where there was a lot of guys who would empty bars when they came in. Even some friends of mine were like that and to me were nice guys but I also knew what they were to others.
When they punched the car windows out for nothing. That was a lot of innocent guys with hassle.
Also the guy who got his neck broke just doing his job.
But your right what I guy to be at the top.
One thing about the book Jimmy is I'd have loved allison the guy who killed him to have had a chapter.
See his feelings on the story.
Don't know how realistic that would be for him to contribute.
Maybe as an extra UA-cam video.
But yes I've read books on both now. Gotti.
As a writer you should put more importance on the views of people who have read books.
As you should agree you don't need to meet someone when there is literature on the subject.
But it's an interesting book you've put out Jimmy.
I'll be looking to see what's next.
That dicko guy seems like would be a decent read.

@@paulvenis6285 I'm not changing my tune Paul.
I read the book and made my decisions on it.
He was definitely a tough guy.
But there are guys in most towns rise to the top.
I don't believe in a rivalry between Lee and viv.
Don't believe there was anything in it for viv so I don't think he would have been looking for this fight.
Had Lee won he would have had a very lucrative Newcastle pub scene at the time.
Viv was a hard guy and they had to shoot him.
Was a very interesting time in the history of the north east.
I wasnt slagging Middlesbrough as such. Just meant about scale. The size of the place.
I don't know enough about the place. Even football wise I never really seen Newcastle and Middlesbrough as a derby match.
I was also in the army years ago with a lot of guys from around that area. Perhaps your right about Lee. He was a monster of a guy. But I don't like some of the stories like using guys as human punch bags. But also these guys are quite funny and charismatic.
