Great video - brought back lots of memories. It's sad to see how the once thriving community has fallen into decline. I was born and bred in Slaggy island but have lived in Canada since 1967. I used to return regularly until my mum died in 2004. As Vin Garbutt's song goes, "Farewell, Slaggy Island".

I saw my late Father in law's shop - Mctigues , the wallpaper shop.
South bank is a gost town now nothing left but memory's sad to say.
