VA math hinges on the term “of the remaining”. It makes getting increases after 60% very difficult. If you are 70% now and get a new 10% rating, VA calculates that as 10% “of the remaining” 30% (Subtracting your existing 70 from 100). 10% of 30 is 3, added to your 70 is 73, and rounding to the nearest 10 takes you back to 70. Project 2025 envisions significant reductions to veterans' health care services and disability benefits. Proposed changes could disenroll millions of veterans without a service-connected designation from VA-paid health care. Other veterans could lose access to VA health care for issues that "don't align" with their service-related conditions. Take a look at the desired policies laid out in the Heritage Foundation's related blueprint: It's there in black and white.
This is a big concern which many veterans have not paid attention to. One of the other main factors that isn't recognized by many veterans is the fact that within their planned changes there would be a removal of secondary conditions, meaning only the conditions that were caused and service connected via the military would be considered. No longer would veterans be able to claim those secondary effects which would drastically change the ability for veterans to get assistance and healthcare covered for disabilities, that are being created due to already confirmed disabilities.

Third step is all these issues mentioned have them written down and have your doctor provide you all the documentation of all these items. Fourth, if you have or haven't contact a VSO for assistance with filing for claims and getting you assistance. I hope this leads you in the right path, and I'm hoping you are able to gather assistance, if not reach out to me via email and I can try to see what else can assist.

The POSSIBLE changes in April 2025 are a call to action date for the VA to make a decision. There is no set date as of yet for changes. Changes can be made by April or the timetable can be moved again. If you are ready to file do so, there is nothing certain of what the changes may contain.
Screw any and all illegals as we US vietrans pay for your illegals. 😢
@larrystover4863 , You are aware that Trump has nothing to do with P25 and does not support it right?
Elon will get rid of every government agency that he himself can't obtain money from. ... such as his electric "green" car and his Space rocket program.
And hands go out extended saying..Thank You For Your Service...As they voted to have all these services cut or removed from our lives... KEEP YOUR THANK YOU'S!!!👎🏿👎🏿NEXT TIME...THINK ABOUT US VETERANS BEFORE YOU CHECK A BOX!!!
Your payment is way off, I'm at 50% disability and I get 1271.51. No kids and no parents and now you say I am going to make less for 2025? Your figures are way off
@briankumpan9892 interesting that when you look at the 2024 figures www.va.gov/disability/compensation-rates/veteran-rates/ you are supposed to be recieving $1075.16. I would make sure to call the VA. It sounds like your payment has been off for a long time. You should look into that.
Recommendation: If you’re 100% T&P, your military pension should also be tax free. Just saying
some years ago the government deducted DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR from our retired military pensions for what we got from the VA for disability we got while in the Military !! SO UNFAIR !! BUT that DID change 20 years or so ago. Now my military pension has been renamed
COMBAT RELATED COMPENSION PAY and it is NON taxable. so I get 100% VA disability pay and full military retirement pay. Now it is right..
@@samrogrer4959 CRSC is less than .CRDP about 250 neither is taxable according to the IRS .... READ YOUR TAX INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY...
$4 more dollars, yay!
I think thats how we all feel.
I wish this was true

First if you haven't yet apply for VA Health Care you can apply over the phone with this number 877-222-8387. Second, Find your closest VFW or American Legion location and reach out to them. In cases like this going to a well known organization can gain you more assistance than going to only a VSO.

Was Duluth inside Viet FIR? Blue water Navy vets get Agent Orange exposure benefits.
Thank you! I don't know where to start. My illness is due to a stroke 6+yrs ago at age 72. Will I still qualify for VA medical? Rating was PN3. Again thank you.
All❤👍👍👍👍👍❣️
Thank you!!
Not bad pay for 2yrs of service
@eutimiochavez415 If you are honorably discharged from service, you are a veteran, you took the oath, decided to serve, and served. No matter your length of time, combat time, or job, you choose to serve, and I commend you for it. Now, use the benefits that come from volunteering to serve this great country!
@ 25 yr veteran
@ they make more then I make and I served 25 yrs
@eutimiochavez415 that may be true, but at the same time, over 25 years of service, you were able to better prepare your future and accomplish much more with a retirement check on top of it.
Thanks.👍
@scottsmith4710 Your Welcome!
