ive always been a hands on learner due to my learning disabilities. its much easier to understand something/how so and so works/etc when its happening right in your hands because of what you did to it.
A reading and writing learner is definitely me! I always find it hard to remember what someone has taught me through a presentation or speech but whenever I get the chance to read up on something or someone tells me or teaches me something interesting my brain just suddenly wants to remember it all. Because of this I have memorized a lot AND I MEAN A LOT about different subjects that I love. I used to hate math but as I’ve been taught more about it and I’ve read up on how certain problems work I’ve become better at it and actually like it now, though I’m not the best at it of course and I’m still pretty bad at solving equations but I’m getting there. Anyways point is that I can’t learn properly unless my teachers talk to me one on one or I’m able to ask questions and they answer them properly and also give me material to read and study.
im a visual and kinesthetic learner. really spot on. i think its the reason why i do better in offline school especially bio and physic. been failing it since im in online but i thrive during offline
Im definitely a mix of both kinesthetic and reading/writing. I love reading the information to get it into my brain but then want to get hands on and do it myself to retain that info.
I was looking though the chat and haven’t seen many kinesthetic and reading & writing learners. I’m happy to know that there is at LEAST someone who got the same score.
My test was filled with A's and D's, as someone who has struggled with learning in a traditional class room for a long time, but found it easy to learn skills such as cooking, tailoring , and art crafts involving using my hands and visualizing, i am grateful for this video because this will go a long way to help me study in my journey as a student nurse. Thank you so much❤
Basically, for me it depends on the condition or the situation at hand. If I have, for example, an unknown object about which I don't know anything about or how it works, then I'll probably just tinker around to see what's the purpose of the object. But if already have an instruction manual at hand, I'll just read it thoroughly to learn about the object. Other times when if I have the choice of reading some stuff about a topic, or watching a video on UA-cam, I'll choose to go with UA-cam. If not, I am still pretty good at learning through just reading. So, it just depends.
I got 3xA, 3xB, 2xC and 2xD. I'm all over the place hahaha. It actually depends a lot on what I have to learn. I studied literature and learned the best when I listened in class, wrote down notes and repeated them at home by reading them out loud. As an athlete I learned a lot by observing and trying different techniques myself.
1. I love books with a mix of descriptive settings and small amounts of illustrations (ex. a picture before each chapter) 2. I work best when someone shows me how to do a task/an assignment through actions 3. Watching videos and movies (ex. D&D campaigns, game playthroughs, video reviews, music videos) 4. I read my notes aloud to myself 5. A dog playing 6. I prefer to watch a person or an instructional video 7. Reading (not articles but reading in general) 8. Noises 9. Find a map somewhere and study it 10. A, B & C (NOT D)
Man this quiz is on the spot on I thought I was a visual learner all along your life, but I’m more towards working on my hands, experimenting with my hands on stuff more and I realize I am a kinesthetic learner
This was soooo interesting! I always knew I learnt best by traditional methods, so I thought I was a visual learner, but ends up I had the name wrong. I'm a writing/reading learner through and through! I was thinking that, when it comes to cooking, I'm more hands down, but in the end, I only let myself try new stuff and experiment because I have already read some things about ingredients and their functions, and so I allow myself to test them irl. But the reading part comes first, always.
I have 3As, 3Bs, 4Cs! Reading and writing is definitely my main learning style, I also enjoy learning visually and by listening, too! This is a great quiz 👍
I'm glad you put in the disclaimer that people don't tend to perform any better when information is conveyed in their preferred learning style. As Stanislas Dehaene puts it, "...as amazing as it may be, there is no research showing that children differ radically in their preferred learning modality. What is true is that some teaching strategies work better than others-but when they do, it applies to all of us, not just a subgroup. For instance, experiments show that we have an easier time remembering a picture than a spoken word, and that our memory is even better when the information is conveyed by both modalities-an audiovisual experience. Again, this is the case for all children. There is simply no evidence in favour of the existence of subtypes of children with radically different learning styles, such that type-A children will learn better with strategy A, and type-B children with strategy B. For all we know, all humans share the same learning algorithim." (How We Learn: A New Science of Education and the Brain, 2021, pg. 185/186.) Veritasium put out a video a few months ago on this topic as well, so I'd recommend giving that a view as well. Forgive me if this seems a dour post, but I just felt it important to let it be known, and I nonetheless thank you for the work you put into making this video!
I'm somewhat in-between a visual and writing/reading learner. I like to memorize topics by reading, but I love making my own visual images from those words. That's why I mostly read books that have descriptive settings and I can visualize them vividly. My learning style is definitely influenced by my ADHD, as I just forget whatever I just listened to (most of the time), meaning auditory learning is out of the question.
As someone who is neurodivergent, I need a different learning style for different things. Sometimes I even need more than one or all of them! It’s a struggle but I manage 😊
I got three Bs and seven Cs. So according to that I’m a reading and writing learner, and it’s one hundred percent me. I’m a moderately hyperlexic person who started reading books at the age of three, and I’ve always been very good at absorbing information via reading it. I do like writing and find it to be useful as well, although I actually prefer typing over physical writing since I’m not able to write for a long time without physical pain. I broke my dominant wrist in two places when I was twelve, and I haven’t been able to handle writing for a while without pain since before that.
I was actually looking for the way I learn best. This video tells me I am a visual and writing/reading learner. This is so accurate. Thank you very much.
Oh myyy!! I was not expecting the most accurate answer after the disclaimer at the beginning…but this is soooo accurate ✨ Thank you for making me know I’m not abnormal in reading 😹
Your videos make my day better, whenever I have a question about myself, you guys are the best source of information. Plus the narrator's voice is calm and relaxing. Keep up the good work guys!! :)))
wow, that video was so helpful! i'm trying to find out the best way to pass my tests this year lmao. y'all are very creative. keep up with the good work
I’m reading and writing. I just bought 9 new journals. Can’t wait to use them. Hardest thing will be trying to decide which one to use first. And I’m trying to make my own as well! Slow going!
Suggestion: Hi psych2go!! i love your videos sm!! so I was wondering if you could do a video talking about OCD? (obsessive compulsive disorder, I think?) I have that and it's really hard for me to cope with it a lot of the time and also OCD (Obsessive Cleaning Disorder) which it also linked to perfectionism and always wanting everywhere to be neat and perfect, I hope you take this suggestion into consideration! thank you!
Hi ! They’ve already made a few videos on the several types of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, just look up on UA-cam “Psych2Go OCD” and it’ll pop right up . I’m not sure they’ll make own about Obsessive Cleaning Disorder though given that it’s not something that exists in the DSM. I think the current videos on OCD will help a lot though , they’ve been really validating to me being someone who struggles with OCD that involves intrusive thoughts (not the type always described as cleaning). I hope this helps !
I'm a tie between auditory listener and reading and writing learner, which is very true. In class i tend to listen to everything and write everything down on my paper and later read it.
It got tied between A and C, so I'm a visual learner yet also writing and reading learner. I think C is more closer to my learning style. Thankyou for the test btw, It was fun!
I am full of As and Ds, visual and physical interfaces help me the most. But because I have a terrible short term memory (and good long term memory), I write lots of stuff down (on paper! Almost never on a phone note!) to study them until they make it into the long term memory. It's amazing how complicated the workings of a human brain are
I honestly need all three or four. On traditional quizzes to test this I tie on all three but in this one I got auditory, which I don’t agree with. My reasoning: I just don’t like to rely on visuals, what I listen to, or what I do hands on, etc, I like to focus on how the whole builds together. This is why I don’t generally need to study since I learn so well things I like at least. The reasons I like the people speaking is that they have passion for their work and make me listen.
I'm between a visual learner and a kinetic learner. I can best recite from watching, but to actually fully grasp what it is I have to do, I need to actually practice or be a part of it. Take drawing for an example. I can watch someone draw and amazing eye, so I know how I *should* go about drawing one. But when I start applying that to paper, even though I know what I should be doing, I have to figure it out on my own from there. The visuals are a good 70% for me, but I need the 30% left to fully grasp it from doing it myself
I’m a reading and writing learner. When it’s face to face classes I’m often annoyed by teachers who would tell me to “listen” and don’t take notes, when it’s hard for me to just listen without taking notes or looking at some words that best describe what they’re teaching me.
I would say I'm a mix of reading and kinesthetic with very little ability in auditory and okay at visual which shows in my answers. I got: 2 A 0 B 5 C 3 D
1. A, mostly comic books or manga. 2. D 3. B 4. C 5. A 6. A. 7. D 8. D 9. A. 10. C A - 4 B - B C - 2 D - 3 I feel I'm more of a mix between visual learner and hands-on learner. You show me what to do, I practice it a few times, and boom. I've learned it pretty well.
I am a mix of visual, reading and writing, kinesthetic learner. This is pretty accurate, we once took a test on this, and I got kinesthetic and visual learner.
1. (c.) 2. (c.) 3. (a.) 4. (c.) 5. (d.) 6. (d.) 7. (d.) 8. (c.) 9. (a.) 10. (a.) i got reading and writing learner I can definitely see that but i feel like i'm a mix between that a kinesthetic learner and a bit of a visual learner
I float between auditory and writing/reading. Because I love audiobooks and can retain some information once it’s told to me, but I also do better with reading directions.
4. I never actually study; In most cases I'm confident that I'll get a good grade and I already have understood so what I do is relax and doing something else
Im confident to say that 70%% of the viewers are visual and auditory and kinesthetic learners. Some of you all are doing something rn ( cooking, cleaning means of kinesthetic ) while listening to this ( auditory ) .
I actually love your channel and I always watch your videos every night. In total,I have 3a,1b,3c,3d but I think that being a visual learner is exactly what describes me the most. I actually love math and on March 14 2023 will be the World Mathematics Day. One of my favourite topics about math is statistics where you use graphs to better understand the data that is represented.
I got an even split between b, c, and d. I often feel my learning is different from others, especially those who grew up in an earlier generation that focused on book learning the most. I prefer audiobooks when available and (clearly) like youtube videos. I do read as well, but it is not the primary way I learn the most.
I’m mostly visual and reading/writing but a little bit kinesthetic This honestly makes sense for me it’s way more fun to use visual aids and I love reading and writing
I'm a visual learner which is true I guess cause I've noticed it a LOT like a LOT cause for this one sst class our teacher was explaining through words and asked us to close our books I did NOT grasp on a single thing. Later when there was an exam I just went thought the pages which contained visual images and let me tell you that I ACED that exam. So, a concept that was first taught to me trough words I couldn't understand, but the same concept that I learned through visualization I aced the concept. In conclusion this proves that I am a visual learner. Thank you for coming to my ted talk, have a great day or night ahead.☺☺☺☺😊😊😊🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤❤❤
1. C, 2. C, 3. A, 4. C, 5. C, 5. A, 6. C, 7. C, 8. D, 9. B. I'm a reading and writing learner from what the quiz tells me but I know I'm actually a mix between a reading/writing learning and a visual cause in order for me to learn something I not only need to be shown it but I need to do it myself, like for example. I can't read how to do fractions and just learn that way, I need to see someone do it then do it myself mutiple times just to memorize it, but I also learn things from reading books and remeber that easily if it ain't math. :)
My style is visual one, and i do agree that i like the visualization method, through i also noticed that reading and repeating the information works best for me.
I got a tie between visual and reading/writing, but it came close! They both got 3 while the other options got 2, and I know I am pretty balanced learning wise, I just don't process words well most of the time lol, they get muddled in my head
I'm dead center between Reading/Writing and the Hands-on learner, I can learn either way pretty well. I'm good at understanding things as they're said to me, I remember things for a long time if I write them down, and I love teaching myself how to fix things
A visual learner with a pinch of kinesthetic and reading/writing Sounds about right, my special interest happens to be art and storytelling through a visual medium like comics. I love both digital and traditional art almost equally, and while digital can be very versatile, nothing can beat the texture of paper. I do have a feeling that the only reason I got 3 in kinesthetic learning is because of my neurodivergency & love for nice textures. Like paper.
Tiee!! (A and C) Before taking the test, I was trying to figure out which type of learner I am to rebuild my study routine (two weeks in med school as of now). My answers were alternating between A and C🐶
Great video! I had a tie between A (3) and B (3) which makes sense since I love talking out loud to memorize things while pictures help me visual and understand concepts easier!
I got 7 A's, 2 B's and 1 D A Visual Learner which is pretty accurate as an artist myself I also learn by doing stuff with my hands and I barely enjoying taking notes because of my bad handwriting (ironic for an artist haahaha). However, note-taking is also when I quickly remember things cuz it was made with the engagement if my hand As long as I did it, see it, I can remember it My other solution for this is typing on a document, it still have a the same effect Sometimes I rewrite my notes on a Quizlet and then play with it which is pretty effective (but the digital way is time-costly, it depends) That's why before the day of the exam, I usually rewrite some of my notes on a separate sheet of paper I suck at numbers cuz I can't visualize them and it just shuffles in my head

Thank you so much❤
The fact I completely understood the reference images on the first book. Evelvaii really pulled a nostalgic move for a certain community
As an athlete I learned a lot by observing and trying different techniques myself.
same for me except 3x A,B,C and 1x D
1. I love books with a mix of descriptive settings and small amounts of illustrations (ex. a picture before each chapter)
2. I work best when someone shows me how to do a task/an assignment through actions
3. Watching videos and movies (ex. D&D campaigns, game playthroughs, video reviews, music videos)
4. I read my notes aloud to myself
5. A dog playing
6. I prefer to watch a person or an instructional video
7. Reading (not articles but reading in general)
8. Noises
9. Find a map somewhere and study it
10. A, B & C (NOT D)
I love your voice it’s so soothing. 😭
thats good to hear
💯
I watch videos like this the day before the test. Keeps the stress out.
Veritasium put out a video a few months ago on this topic as well, so I'd recommend giving that a view as well.
I guess I'm both a reading/writing learner and a visual learner since I got the same amount of A's as I did C's and honestly it's so accurate omg
I kinda do all of them, sometimes at the same time to argue a point back to myself until i come to a solid conclusion. Then its learned.
Oh myyy!! I was not expecting the most accurate answer after the disclaimer at the beginning…but this is soooo accurate ✨
Thank you for making me know I’m not abnormal in reading 😹
A- 4; B-3; C-2; D-1
I would put A & B together for best results.
1: C
2: B
3: A
4: C
5: B
6: B
7: C
8: C
9: A
10: C
Based on these results, the video assumes I am predominantly a reading and writing learner
I had no answer for 4 and -0
I got mostly C, and I LOVE reading and writing. I started reading when I was 2, so that makes 100% to me. Good job!
Yay! Another quiz! Also I’m a visual learner, like I predicted
🌞
According to this Quiz test:
4A=So I'm a Visual Learner
4B=also a Auditory Learner
1C=a little bit Reader
2D= and a bit Kinesthetic Learner too
Your videos make my day better, whenever I have a question about myself, you guys are the best source of information. Plus the narrator's voice is calm and relaxing. Keep up the good work guys!! :)))
A-3 B-0 C-7 D-0
I am definitely mostly a reading and writing learner with a bit of visual!
wow, that video was so helpful! i'm trying to find out the best way to pass my tests this year lmao. y'all are very creative. keep up with the good work
Hands-on learner and have always been. Less talked-about than visual and reading/writing. I feel like it tends to go with adhd but not always.
When you hear the word "dog" what comes to mind?
Me: 🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭
I’m definitely a visual learner. Learning through demonstrations and mainly visual things make it easier to remember.
A slow one.
(obsessive compulsive disorder, I think?)
I have that and it's really hard for me to cope with it a lot of the time
and also OCD (Obsessive Cleaning Disorder) which it also linked to perfectionism and always wanting everywhere to be neat and perfect,
I hope you take this suggestion into consideration! thank you!
@@lorela9723 OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH YOURE SO SWEET AND I HOPE YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR OCD, ITS REALLY HARD BUT I BELIEVE IN YOU
I'm a tie between auditory listener and reading and writing learner, which is very true.
In class i tend to listen to everything and write everything down on my paper and later read it.
I loved this! Thank you for being so encouraging and kind as a PSA at the end of the video. Amazing channel!
It got tied between A and C, so I'm a visual learner yet also writing and reading learner.
I think C is more closer to my learning style.
Thankyou for the test btw, It was fun!
Q) What distracts you the most when studying??
Me - *All of the above*
I am full of As and Ds, visual and physical interfaces help me the most. But because I have a terrible short term memory (and good long term memory), I write lots of stuff down (on paper! Almost never on a phone note!) to study them until they make it into the long term memory. It's amazing how complicated the workings of a human brain are
1:14 *PSYCH2GO RICKROLLED US-*
i thought no one noticed it
I like how I’m a little bit of reading, auditory and kinesthetic but not visual whatsoever because I get overwhelmed by visual things sometimes
10. where the science at
I honestly need all three or four.
I got reading and writing learner which is actually 100% accurate.
Hey first
U BASTERD
@@Cliffordlonghead HAHAHA
Hello
I’m a reading and writing learner. When it’s face to face classes I’m often annoyed by teachers who would tell me to “listen” and don’t take notes, when it’s hard for me to just listen without taking notes or looking at some words that best describe what they’re teaching me.
Phsych 2 go is literally my therapy
so happy to hear that
I'm definitely a hands on learner. I have to actually do what I'm trying to learn with some guidance from those with more knowledge on the subject
I would say I'm a mix of reading and kinesthetic with very little ability in auditory and okay at visual which shows in my answers. I got:
2 A
0 B
5 C
3 D
I'm a mix of reading/writing and audible learner
Very relatable!!
I'm apparently a visual and reading and writing learner. It fits. I do so love my words and books and movies.
I've always been a visual and reading/writing learner so this was pretty accurate!
1. A, mostly comic books or manga.
2. D
3. B
4. C
5. A
6. A.
7. D
8. D
9. A.
10. C
A - 4
B - B
C - 2
D - 3
I feel I'm more of a mix between visual learner and hands-on learner. You show me what to do, I practice it a few times, and boom. I've learned it pretty well.
According to my calculations of learner
A-50% visual learner
B-60%auditory learner
C-90%reading and writing learner
D-20%kinesthetic learner
I am a mix of visual, reading and writing, kinesthetic learner. This is pretty accurate, we once took a test on this, and I got kinesthetic and visual learner.
i'm a tie between a visual, reading and writing, and kinesthetic learner! looks like i learn in lots of ways
I'm mostly reading and writing , but I also mix in auditory learning , and sometimes draw concepts and make my own diagrams to explain things
1. (c.) 2. (c.) 3. (a.) 4. (c.) 5. (d.) 6. (d.) 7. (d.) 8. (c.) 9.
I’m tied with reading and writing and kinesthetic learner. I’m very hands on with things and can probably figure it out by being near it.
I’m mostly visual and reading/writing but a little bit kinesthetic
This honestly makes sense for me it’s way more fun to use visual aids and I love reading and writing
I got a's and I can say that diagrams help me a lot, but I usually re-write my notes to make them look nice and fun
I got 4 A's, 3 C's and 3 D's. Visual, reading and writing and kinesthetic. It makes a lot of sense.
I'm mostly visual but there's also a mix of Auditory & reading/writing.
I got a reading and writing learner and that definitely fits me but I learn way better when I watch, figure out and try myself!
A visual learner with a pinch of kinesthetic and reading/writing
Sounds about right, my special interest happens to be art and storytelling through a visual medium like comics. I love both digital and traditional art almost equally, and while digital can be very versatile, nothing can beat the texture of paper.
I do have a feeling that the only reason I got 3 in kinesthetic learning is because of my neurodivergency & love for nice textures. Like paper.
Tiee!! (A and C)
Before taking the test, I was trying to figure out which type of learner I am to rebuild my study routine (two weeks in med school as of now). My answers were alternating between A and C🐶
Great video! I had a tie between A (3) and B (3) which makes sense since I love talking out loud to memorize things while pictures help me visual and understand concepts easier!
I got 7 A's, 2 B's and 1 D
A Visual Learner which is pretty accurate as an artist myself
I also learn by doing stuff with my hands and I barely enjoying taking notes because of my bad handwriting (ironic for an artist haahaha).
However, note-taking is also when I quickly remember things cuz it was made with the engagement if my hand
As long as I did it, see it, I can remember it
My other solution for this is typing on a document, it still have a the same effect
Sometimes I rewrite my notes on a Quizlet and then play with it which is pretty effective
(but the digital way is time-costly, it depends)
That's why before the day of the exam, I usually rewrite some of my notes on a separate sheet of paper
I suck at numbers cuz I can't visualize them and it just shuffles in my head
