- There’s growing evidence that ultra-processed foods are linked to inflammatory diseases like Crohn’s disease, metabolic diseases like type 2 diabetes, certain cancers, depression and anxiety, obesity - which increases the risk of heart attacks and stroke.
Junk food - which contains ultra processed ingredients - is now linked to obesity, disease and depression.
So why is junk food still so cheap and easy to buy?

Sometimes it's very difficult to find real food in more deprived areas of the Uk. Just lots of processed junk foods and take aways on every street. Corner shops with no fresh food. I don't eat any Ultra-processed foods so often find nothing to eat until I find a large supermarket. Why is it so hard to find healthy alternatives when everywhere you look the majority of people are overweight?
You need to define what eating alittle ultraprocessed food means. American Heart Association recommends at most 24 grams ofsugar daily for an ault female . start looking at theaddrd sugar on the nutritional labdels of processed food.
