My name is Anton Fung, I’ve been very into dogs and dog training ever since I could remember.
I finally was able to persuade my parents and got my first dog when I was 9. But unfortunately, she’s constantly barking and because of that and some other issues, no one liked her. I had no idea how to find information and I didn’t know that dog training even existed.
But ever since the internet, UA-cam and other social media became popular, (god I sound old lol), I couldn’t stop looking for dog training tutorials and pet related videos. And I was even able to get in touch with dog trainers that I really admire who live across the world. I realised that all the problems we had could have been avoided if we had the right knowledge.
So with our UA-cam channel, and my cute black mongrel buddy, Captain, who I adopted from Hong Kong Dog Rescue when he was seven months old, we wanna show people how easy and fun dog training is, and hopefully can help new dog owners and kids who are as into animals as I was.

Thanks so much. The method you talked in this clip works 100%. My GSD had lots of phobias, he scared the whole world. To change his emotional response, pairing counter-conditioning helping him out. I almost need to re-home him. Patience is the key, this took me years to help him being a well balanced dog. Very rewarding.

有個問題 我朋友隻狗大約一歲 都好少(幾乎冇)training
對野食都冇興趣 有冇咩方法首先令到野食變為佢既reward先?
而家試緊令到佢自己食野先 因為之前食野佢會扭計唔食 要人放入口 或者食D佢想食既野
而家就只會放係佢面前一陣 唔食就拎開
另外隻狗對好多野都冇興趣 唔會行埋去 唔會有反應
平時成日呢埋係屋企既角落 (我覺得佢係驚 > 慣左去個度避)
有冇咩方法令到隻狗容易D係正常情況下做翻d conditional training? thanks a lot!
My dog belongs to fearful aggressive type. She barks and lungs to other dogs that walk pass. Can you make a video about this problem? Just a lil comment, I think It will be great to watch some videos of you training with an untrained dog instead of a well-trained dog, I think it will helps more! Thanks!!
Hey Rachel, thanks for your question. Feel free to check out 10:21 again where I discussed how to handle social stimuli, such as strangers and other dogs. Make sure you have an experience helper helping and that you’re working on the exercise with a distance that your dog it’s okay with. If she barks and lungs when others are 5m away, then try practising 10m away from them. Practice at a distance where you can get your dog’s attention and reward her for being calm. Then gradually shorten the distance once she’s ok, that might happen within one session or after a few sessions. Also at 8:37 I talked about the distance thing I mentioned just now, it’s called desensitization. See if that would help you understand more.

Regarding using other untrained dogs for the video, that’s a good idea too. I’ll see if I can provide some of that kind of content for you guys in the future 😙

@Askcaptain Hi，Anton想問下，我隻狗仔７個月大，最近夜晚大家訓哂嘅時候，同層其他住戶有BB女喊，人聽就好細聲，但狗仔聽到就好認真咁起身吠，或者有時夜晚出面LIFT開門好小嘅聲佢都會吠，想比佢知其實冇野會發生，影響唔到我地，應該點話比佢知好？
#askcaptain 請問captain 你建議狗狗絕育嗎? 松鼠母狗如果1歲絕育，會不會太遲? 因為發情過，身體突然之間冇咗荷爾蒙，會不會有負面影響?

我隻芝娃娃乜都驚，對聲音好敏感，行雷落雨，出街一聽到車聲，van仔退後嘅嘟嘟聲，任何大啲嘅響聲佢就夾哂尾唔肯行！咁可以點train佢？
好犀利；你應該唔係訓犬師掛？
朋友隻狗一歲幾啦，主人一無係佢身邊，佢就喊，唔開心，所以主人日日返工前都要搵人照顧佢，同佢玩，收工又要去接返佢。睇見都辛苦，應該點樣訓練隻狗狗可以獨處？
首先第一樣野要確認嘅就係究竟佢係咪真係有獨處嘅問題，有分離焦慮。因為好多時狗狗只係需要一啲適當嘅運動同埋玩具去消耗精神同埋消磨時間，就可以解決，唔一定真係有分離焦慮。所以最好係搵個專業人士親身幫主人睇睇。

但係呢度有幾個 tips 不妨可以試吓，就算佢冇分離焦慮都好，都會係一個好好嘅習慣。
.
1) 係主人離開前，同狗狗 exercise 釋放能量
2) 係主人離開前，分散狗狗嘅注意力
3) 俾一個安全嘅玩具佢哋玩，等主人走咗之後佢哋都可以有娛樂，識得點樣消磨時間。
4) 離開同埋返屋企嗰陣時唔好太過興奮，don’t make a big deal。
5) 可以試吓同佢做訓練，等佢習慣唔使永遠都要黐住主人，可以保持一段距離都冇問題。開頭簡單啲，固定佢喺張床上面或者屋企任何一個位置 (如果佢識得 stay 就 stay 佢，如果唔係用條狗繩都可以) 跟住主人行開去掂道大門，跟住就mark再返去獎勵佢。一定會搵樣佢超鍾意嘅獎勵。當你見到佢已經估到你掂大門之後會有獎勵，跟住你就可以踏出屋企大門唔閂門，mark 跟住獎勵。又當佢有學識同埋進步左之後，就可以再提高個難道，閂埋門5秒先至獎勵，跟住慢慢變到10秒20秒30秒1分鐘5分鐘。

同佢做訓練嗰陣時可以試吓拍片跟住 pm 或者 tag 我哋，等我哋再比下意見睇吓幫唔幫到手💪🏻
