I really think this is how 90% of BTS dance practices go.
I think the managers and choreographer/teacher understood that “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” (shining reference) so occasionally they would just have the boys act silly while continuing the choreography to alleviate the seriousness. As you know, they are serious for dance practices to assure precision in their performance, but the cameramen and others also have to chart each members positions as the song rolls out so they are always aware of everyone’s efforts. Although they don’t do silly practices often, they did one every Halloween for awhile, costumes and all.😂
Honestly, I think you would love their Run BTS variety show because it genuinely shows how much fun and chaos they experience together. Run BTS has always been a highly anticipated once a week watch for so many of us and when it started in 2015 there were some bumps and a bit of cringe in the first episodes. Once they got comfortable with it, it became this amazing show that rivaled the best! There are 156 episodes and you can watch them all on their UA-cam channel. They also have their Bon Voyage/In the Soop series where they travel together to different countries for awhile or staycation in the forests of South Korea. I have watched all of these shows repeatedly, and when I’m feeling down or stressed, I will watch some of my favorite episodes to lift myself back up…they really are that good.

This is the "real war version." They also have "Halloween version" dance practice for this song and it is a classic that you must watch.
Every year for FESTA - which happens in June - they release content like this - crackhead versions of dance practices, song remixes, even totally new songs. We just stay fed with the goodness!

i really like BTS because they do not potray a "perfect life" like some other celebrities or idols . They give us their raw selves whether its chaotic, embarrassing ,wild or whatever its so fun to watch. Their dance practices and their Run BTS episodes are my daily dose of happiness.

I would like to recommend Attack on Bangtan - Live Japan. Its a fun song, full of energy and the have so much fun on the stage.

You will see a lot more of their personalities if you start watching their Run BTS variety/reality show. It starts slow, but as they get older and the show progresses, their true personas emerge. JK is the super athlete who hates losing, V is very smart, creative, and sly, Jin is really funny, JHope is suoer kind and a super scaredy-cat, Suga is hot & cold (sometimes has fun, sometimes hates doing anything based on his mood but his whining is hilarious), Jimin tries hard and is sometimes too trusting in the game, and RM is just trying to hold it all together as the leader. I watched them in order, but my faves are the water park episodes, the pirate ship, and the photo jump games.
Their music brings us in, their message inspires us, and their personalities keep us and make us feel like family! They will always be the sweet, goofy guys to ARMY! 💜

I love how even though they're being complete crazy heads they're still doing the choreo 😂 (also you mentioned how they probably don't see their group much, but with Kpop groups they dorm together, so BTS literally saw each other every single day of their lives. Except for now...when they're in the military...but we don't talk about that...)
You should see their variety show Run BTS. It's hilarious. They show their personality and we love them for it.

These boys always find fun in everything they do, most dance practices are serious, but the will also do crackheads shit like this, you need to watch some crack video’s, or BTS telling V he’s handsome, him being bangtan’s baby. Music is the bomb, dance practices are the bomb, and fan made crack video’s just make us smile and have a better day, especially now since we miss them so much.

7:41 they lived together for years and years. I think they finally gave up their shared apartment in 2021. They did see each other all the time. They’re just goofy af.
If you want to see them just have fun, let loose and be themselves, there’s a ton of variety show content of them just being goofballs in general. There’s also In the Soop and Bon Voyage where they film vacations together just being themselves.

Mr. Go Coo, I told you. But you didn't listen. I said there were even funnier dance practices out there. We got you. Hahaha! We knew it was a funny one, that's why we begged you for this dance practice. You have to realize. They practice for hours and hours to achieve perfection. Perfect dance moves in perfect sync. Perfect formations with perfect alignment with perfect change of formations. Perfect notes. Perfect energy. Perfect smiles or emotions. On some songs, they even had the same eye placement. Their eyes all looked in the same direction. That's hard to memorize when you're looking into a dark sea of fans with their Light Bombs swaying to the music. So they have to let out the stress and pressure they feel that builds up. And this is a perfect way to do that. Guess what? Other songs have funny dance practices, too. Especially "Butter". There's the cool version on set. There's the Behind the Scenes crazy version where they pick funny props and things to wear. Then, there's the finished edited version of the silly costume version. Other funny dances. While they appear on other variety shows, they show their capability of dancing the exact same choreography of a girl's idol song. Then they do dance covers of other songs. Usually, when they are goofing backstage, they are waiting for everyone to get their makeup and costumes on. Then they even do Live Performanes of songs without the official choreography. And they run around their huge stages, singing right into the camera. Doing silly dance moves. And just going crazy!! So you have a lot of fun choreography yet to discover. One of their main sources of spontaneous dance moves are in their episodes of their variety show "RunBTS." Not to be confused with their song "RunBTS," they sang for the first time at their final concert together in Busan. So back to their TV show. Here is a great episode I highly recommend. And everyone will agree. It's called "Fly BTS Fly." So. You come home from a long week, and you just want to relax. Like maybe on Fridays. You choose to release your stress from the week. That's when you put on an episode of "RunBTS." There are over 300 of them. I've laughed during every episode. Sometimes hysterically. So that's why I'm referring to one of my fav episodes. "Fly BTS Fly." Watch it with us and enjoy. There is a Part 1 and Part 2. But they are so good they go by fast. Happy Monday to you. Ha. We got you. "Am I watching the right video?" I rate this a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 on how crazy they can get. Wait until you see them sing Karaoke!!! It's a 10!

Their official dance practices are not really dance practices. They are final versions of perfected dances. They are actually the perfected final run through before they film the MV. A real dance practice is when they are learning the steps. Taking breaks. Goofing off with each other. Then back to learning new steps and practicing and perfecting that part of the song. Just like you said. There are videos out there of that. But they're hard to find because they aren't labeled as dance practices.
You may have forgotten. Or never read my post. I auditioned for Funmation. I auditioned and "tried out for Goku and the 2 female leads. I made it to the 2nd level and got to read for the director and casting director. I didn't make it. But it was fun. And It was a great learning experience. So kind of. I was almost Goku. 😉
