We have all been there at some point, I remember when I first started driving I made sure everything was sorted before I went to work, but it wears off after a while, its only when you realise how much money that you start to spend out on the road that it becomes a shock! this is why I made the video just as a reminder of the early days when we had a few quid in our pockets 😂 🤣 Thanks for the comment Dimulica 👍
If you doubt how much you spend on food and drink then I would say this to you keep a cheap small pocket diary and note init every spend on food and drink you will be shocked at what you spend
Hi Dave here in Aus I carry milk yogurt & cereal as well as cans of bake beans & some frozen meals from home I’m lucky to have 2 fridges one as a freezer . But going to super markets & buying meals & salads as well as snacks & bottle water saves $$ >££
Thanks for the comment Bernie, it really does make a difference to the outgoings, I couldn't believe how much I was spending until I started writing stuff down, it's really worth the effort if you want to hold onto your cash 👍
I used to buy a coffee without fail every morning at a cost of £3.50 that’s £840 a year!!!!! Since the new year I’ve made sandwiches everyday and a flask of coffee that’s all I need and were nearly at the end of feb so that’s nearly £140 saved i can already see that money in my bank. It’s incredible how much we spend and on crap and don’t even realise.
I know Jim, I was as guilty as anyone else which is why I put the video up, I couldn't believe how much money I saved by preparing stuff at home, my only recommendation is to do most of it the night before and put it in the fridge, i can't usually be arsed in a morning 😂 😂 Thanks for the comment Jim 👍
I found I was taking big multi packs of crisps and multipacks of chocolate bars etc then eating them all within first 2 days I was 18 stone in 2019 I decided to stop it and started losing weight I lost 5 stone Now if I want a packet of crisps or a chocolate bar o now have to stop and buy them And the cost puts you off costa or Starbucks is a nice treat so I don’t agree with you’re advice
Shocked to here drivers being caught out no food I thought it was 1 of them unwritten commandments of the trucking bible to always carry emergency ration pack always have at least 3 pot noodles tin of hotdogs and cuppa soups
Your not wrong, it's amazing what deals are out there with multi pack foods, at first they seem expensive until you break it down to what they cost individually, I use Aldi very often for my multipacks you get some good deals. 👍
Thanks you a lot. It is very wise to give this kind of tips to the new HGV drivers.
