If you want high crime, grime, filth and chaos like you get in Asian cities then yes. Perth is modern, civilised, safe and well catered for residents, and everyday living well. We don't grovel in Squalor
I'm a Singaporean who studied and lived in Melbourne. But I personally love Perth much more than Melb. It's way cleaner, folks are nicer, and the whole place gives you a generally pleasant feeling.
