Man. Ive been trying to save my buddy from himself and his codependent relationship with his wife who has absolutely nothing to offer but grief and demands. She won’t work and just watches tv all day stoned. The dude can get so much better and he always has women looking him up and down. When I said she has NOTHING to offer I mean it. He spent the last 15 years like this. He’s 45 and shes almost 60 now. Wish I could talk sense into him cause shes never going to change.
I get it bro, my ex fiance (engaged for 7yrs) would sit on the couch all day and watch TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network). I worked 7 days a week 14hrs a day. Left for work with her sitting on the couch, got home with her on the couch in the exact same PJ's. You can't reason with someone who doesn't want to be reasoned with, it doesn't and won't make sense, don't let it rent space in your head.

I cheated on my wife and before I did I spent years trying to fix our marriage but after a few years in she was always moody always angry just to be awake just wanted to sleep all day 0 motivation for anything and blames me for everything tho I was doing most of the house work most of the child care and I was working night letting her sleep and get naps and when I would tell her how it bothered me like I needed help damn it and every argument her answer was "if you don't like it go fuck somebody else" well I did after 5 years I did now my son is gone were getting divorced I should have left with my dignity am I a POS
Same goes for women. We’re supposed to be cooking all the time and keeping the refrigerator full, house clean, etc. it happens on both ends. Been single for 10 years and I love it. I don’t really care for marriage. You basically end up with two half people. Not my cup of tea.
I was weak going in to the marriage. Now I am strong. No more marriages for me. Because now I know what it takes.
