On UA-cam kids there’s also an option that you can approved certain channels only. That way you don’t have to go through and block everything individually
@@tingle-tainmentasmr2404 you have to link it to your email then you go on the youtube kids app and hit the kids profile and hit settings. Once you hit settings you want to click on the kids account again in settings and you enter your password and you hit the content settings and set it for approval only. Once you do that you can go back on the profile the same way through settings but now after you enter your password it’ll say add or remove content. When you’re adding just make sure you add each show individually because if you add an entire account sometimes they’ll have shows that you may not want to necessarily have on there for them.
one of the best FREE educational apps i have found for my kids is Khan Academy Kids. It has so many games and things to do according to their age. And it has a library of games that do not need wifi in order to play so there is always something for them to play
You can block out apps with the screen time feature on iPads, so if you wanted to block the Paramount or Apple TV apps, you can use the screen time feature to make them passcode locked. I've not used it a lot, but it works!

And something so simple you said, is delete apps 😂😂 I was starting to worry how I would cut him off Netflix specifically and if now decided once he’s able to speak in 2-3 full sentences I’ll DELETE it off his iPad. He will probably ask for these shows but I’ll just put it on the tv. Cuz yeah once he reaches like Riley’s age there are definitely things I won’t want in his iPad that he may have access to now. Because of seeing it on this video, I started using Bimi Boo Academy to work on moter skills. I am blind and autistic and I love that game. It's one of my favorites. The games I like on it are the shape games and the puzzles. They are way better than the ABC mouse ones because they make more noise to tell you if it's right or wrong. The Bimi academy is great because it has so many games to choose from and most of them are different. The voices don't sound as annoying as other apps and don't hurt my ears as mutch as other apps accept for one character that sounds nazelly and I can't stand. It's the dude that teaches about community helpers.

iPads were not around when I was raising my daughter. She's 36 now, but it's interesting that she's not quite so addicted to her iPhone as many other people of her age are. I think that's just her personality. It sounds like you're making some good recommendations Kayla.

I let my daughter watch Disney+ for now but I was looking for something to replace Netflix UA-cam and Disney altogether. Although I mostly like Disney, there’s just no distinction between kids shows and adult shows so sometimes I’ll look up and she’s watching marvel. I don’t like UA-cam kids. I almost feel like it’s worse than when I would just let her watch UA-cam on my phone. At least then if I type in little mermaid, that’s what would be suggested. But on UA-cam kids, I see her watching all these videos with unboxing and brothers and sisters arguing. It’s stuff that doesn’t seem helpful at all so I took it off her iPad. Thank you for this!

I went to a local electronic store that sells used electronics and I bought a $60, very old iPad for my toddlers. It is in great condition and works perfectly. I ordered a case from eBay.
THanks for the recommandations - personally i would never download the christian apps. For me thoese are the most extreme for me. In Denmark we are fortunate with good quality public service kids shows. But really cool apps - especially the toca ones! thnx

Kayla you can choose content on UA-cam kids. Or select a certain age and also you can turn off the search
