I don't agree. For the chain it just is ch 7. Single crochet and other stitches are always made in another stitch. Loose chains, ch, are like a Zero (0) in a diagram. A single crochet, sc, is like a Plus (+) or a (×) in a diagram. Hope that helps. I have learned a lot from Russian and Ukrainian crochet, who make beautiful crochet.

Elena, the English term you want for the chain is "single crochet" and "ch 7 sc” is how it would look in a printed American pattern.
