Kaynen’s channel helped me beyond words. I am looking to pursue PA school after my undergrad, but his channel helped me with life and motivation along with career path. Very intelligent and respectable guy!

University of North Dakota for many years exclusively admitted RNs to their PA school. This is not a new concept. I graduated from there in 1996, and I was one of 80 in my class.

Hello! I’m currently a junior in high school and I want to become a PA which has always been my dream. I will be majoring in nursing to get my bachelors degree but I was wondering if I would need to do a year gap after getting my BSN to complete the amount of patient care hours? if so about how long would it take to complete patient care hours?

Does your high school or a place in your community offer a class to get your CNA? If so don’t be afraid to get it now and start building your contact hours already! Also look into other jobs such as a patient care tech, phlebotomist, and other areas where you could accuse contact hours. With you being a junior and not being 18 yet, I think CNA might be the easiest job to get considering other jobs you can’t do under 18. Good luck on your career path!

Hopefully I'm not too late to advice but there are a few undergrad to PA options out there. You can definitely look into these programs and if you have the qualifying credentials you may be able to go out of highschool to doing your 4 year undergrad and then immediately going into your PA program.

Is the reason why she says rn to pa is a longer route because of the the classes rn programs doesn't cover? Aside from that I fail to see why it is a longer route.

NP is holistic care based on nursing model, more autonomy, PA supervision under a doctor, based on medical model

Does a PA have a lot of patient care time or is it kind of similar to the time a doctor has with a patient?

    • @ThePAPlatform

It really depends on the setting and specialty! In my position as a derm PA, it's very similar.
