John Deere 14SE [M&E:1] First successful repair

Howdy Y'all! Today I got my John Deere 14se push mower up and running for the first time of me owning it.
Hasen't been a good year for mowers for me and worse for repairs, but hopefully I've broke the cycle.
Anyways it is a John Deere 14SE push mower with a bagger. Kawasaki engine 4.5 hp ohv, 6 speed (dosent work quite right yet) and has a gas shut-off.

that noise that your mower is making is the bearing in the clutch going you will need a AM121290 replacement clutch if the mower needs it i had the same mower for years sold it to a friend of mine.

Okay Thanks. I knew something sounded off but also didn't know what to expect. I will probably look into it because peformance-wise it ain't the best so hopefully it'll help out!

Joe Hoepfner and in forget to stall the clutch the engine has to be removed but install the clutch onto the engine before mounting it on he deck how this helps thanks

Thanks yeah it'll help. Again this engine was a different from anything I've ever owned, so I didn't know really what to expect.

Joe Hoepfner and keep in mid the starter is I repeat is no longer available and neither is down of the engine parts I had to get a slinger from eBay since they don’t make it anymore
