People see this as a cool little pumpkin model that the machinist made for fun. I'm sitting here as an apprentice machinist and just wow'ing at all the cool details and workflows that made this figure possible. There is so much more under the hood than what meets the eye
You nailed it. I"m an old-school tool and die maker and former high school / college machine shop instructor. I'm glad you have an appreciation for what goes into such a cool project...or anything that is manufactured.
@@7000fps Programming time= $3000-$5000 ? Assuming the 3d model is already available (2 hours for a random person who knows any 3d modeler), and assuming a mid career CNC machinist makes 20 $ an hour, that would be about 200 hours of work to load the file, look at the initial tool path generated for you by the program, check the simulation for correctness, and make some adjustment. That would be about 25 entire 8 hours day of work....... Not sure how to justify this.
out of personal experience i have to say, machinists are all just little kids who are now playing with their big machines how they always wanted to ^_^ Happy Halloween yall! and very cool Video, very impressiv :)
Just what everyone needs ……a $25,000.00 metal pumpkin Seriously the true genius is in the software to produce that. Machine ain’t too shabby either lol.
Can I has Pumpkin,....PLEASE?!?!?!!?! I can't even imagine having this type of machinery. As a professed Aluminum junkie I would be lost in the potential to make these amazing models. Utterly amazing where machining has come in the last decade. Awesome work!
Thank you! Since this is more of a one-time "show machining" (with no focus on time optimizations), it's not really possible to give a reasonable specification for the machining time. Let's put it this way: It was pretty work-intensive, but it was worth it. 😉👍
Ight now make one scarier than that and either put it on a blower or an exhaust/headers or both then shoot flames outta them. A guy did it with his mustang around Halloween but wit real pumpkins it was sick.

Cool video! I love this kind of work!
for me everyday is. a halloween what do i do ?
These should have been for sale, hopefully they make something for Christmas we can buy

Nicely said. Thank you! ❤👍
I can assure you that the programmer had fun with this nice model 🎃

Programming time= $3000-$5000.............cut /machining time= $20-$40,000.oo ..............premium tool surcharge= $1000 .....stock mild steel $25.00 ...started rusting 15 minutes after it was finished.

There is something very magical about 5 axis, so therapeutic.
Fenomenal! Als Zahntechniker finde ich das grandios! 👌👍
the accuracy of the milling movement is awesome.
16yrs in and out of the trade and I'm pretty confident this is the coolest gee wiz part ive ever seen!
The part at 335 where the massive machine runs that tidy bit with such delicacy is amazing.
As a CNC machinist, I’d like to say this was sick!!! Awesome job guys! I’m so jealous I only work with 3 axis machines! 😂
That is an incredible piece of work, top marks to the programmer/operator for creating thr terminator version of Halloween

Boys will always be boys ... what changed is just their toys become more and more expensive
...nothing to add here 😄👍
Finally engineers have created an unsmashable pumpkin.
billy corgan's nightmare, perhaps.
Nah dawg machinists have.
Challenge accepted
Smashing Pumpkins 2: Judgment Day 😅💥
Nothing the hydraulic press channel could mint handle!
What A Machine and What a programer 😮
That is the sickest CNC art I have seen...
Great project and nice machining. There are a couple machined punpkins but every time hypermill takes on the task the result is just outstanding.
Absolut großartig. Begeisterung!:))
0:30 that smile of someone BREAKING ALL THE RULES!
😄👍
Amazing cam programming!
This is amazing ! What a work of art !
WOW ,und noch mal WOW.
Spooky. Seemed like the pumpkin became aware and carved it's own face. Spooky.
Awesome! I really enjoyed this video, Very satisfying..

Hell... Heller... THE HELLEST. Nice pumpkin model.👍
Really nice! 🔥
Sick! Nobody's smashing that one!
Epic machining!
Very cool to see a cool demo like this!
Awesome 👊
Great pumpkin for Halloween ever 🔥🔥🔥
INCREDIBLE!!!! 💕
That is a beautiful part! Well done!
Awesome
That looks awsome
Excellent job.
Unbelievable precision.
Solution for mold and bugs, I like it!👍
Sensacional !!!
direct subscribe , hi from romania !
This is incredible
Great and fabulous art! Congratulations Heller!! The BEST!😁👍Happy Halloween!!🧛🌠🎃
Absolutely cool.

Nice, but better w/o music to hear the machine
wow thats great!
Amazing 10/10
Super!
Simply Wow!!!!
Hehe - VERY cool project! 👍👍
Great job 👽👍
That thing would look awesome as a helmet.
Wow, was für eine geile Arbeit! Ist echt ein gutes Video 👍🏻
Semplicemente top
Impressive...most impressive....
Lovely very creative. You are a master thanks for sharing. 👍❤️
Wow that is amazing 👏
incredible
That’s pretty awesome! How much time did that take to complete?
30 minutes

Awesome 😁😁😁good job 👍 you are hired.
Wow this is the coolest little Punkin I’ve ever seen in my life I would like to wear it on a stainless steel necklace😮👻🙌
8000 hours of machining
Not quite as long, but indeed pretty work-intensive. 😅
Sensacional ❤
dude 2x speed is soo aawesome for this !!
Incredibile!
Fast so gut wie DMG. SPAAAAAß
Stimmt. Noch besser. 😜
Amazing!!!!
So perfect 😮😮
Wicked
Top👏🏿👏🏿
Holy shit that's amazing!!
Hellerva job!

или это i masheneng?
For CAM programming we used hyperMILL by OPEN MIND. It took a long time, but we think it was worth it. 😉👍

Trop bien!!!

Super wykonanie 👍
