This is one of the jams I keep coming back to. Dark, mysterious, interesting, intimate, fucking intense and a total vibe. the type of jam that silences chompers. Phish man.
I attended this show. This jam was both unexpected and transformative. 26 years in, and I still constantly blown away. How many times can one person have their face melted?
Easily the best Swept Away > Steep I've ever heard. I don't think anyone at MSG saw this kind of crazy dark jam coming out of fucking Steep. Incredible, I love this band so much
Super Cool! I love the midway transitional shift... I saw these guys at Amy`s Farm, And the Great Went(Limestone). Its good to see they haven`t lost their edge. I think they may have sharpened it a little!
Sick!!! The way they build up the tune and really let it breathe before taking it up a notch..felt like it had such great touches of Floyd. Just a few more shows to go yet it's amazing how they keep it so fresh night after night. This'll go down as one of their best runs ever when folks look back years from now. Ain't many bands at all who could play MSG 13 nights and have each night be so intense and creative!!
@@jimnasium520 you never got a Tweeprise? He pretty consistently drops some heavy bombs in that, especially leading up to where he comes in to stay. I'm sure if you got one you'd of remembered it lol.✌

Beautiful funkified jelly jam - damn. Love to go Phishin; after the Dead followed me from 1982 (Philly Spectrum) through a magical and special journey of special times until Vega$ 05/95 Silver Bowl I grabbed on to the coattails and hooked me some Phish. Of course many Ratdog, Further, The Dead, Dead & Co. & Dark Star Orchestra (DSO). Phish is in line with all dead related bands, & at times top dawg.
This is the one I dream of.......Man I hope I see this in my lifetime. Unfortunatley gonna be hard for me and my wife to Phish this summer and fall. We have a baby that needs a heart transplant, so we are in limbo for a long while pre and post surgery. I hope we can see this one day with our Boys!

Anyone notice how at 8:20 Trey starts to do this one thing (which i have no idea how to call it) but the rest of the band isn't with him for like 2 seconds maybe and then at 8:25 Trey does it again and keeps doing it as the rest of the band falls back with him? lmao that shit is brilliant PS I may be extremely baked and this comment makes no sense
I really enjoyed towards the end of this song. I like when Phish goes a little on the heavier side. Would anyone be able to point me in the direction of some of their sludgier/more metalish jams?

Same! I’m always coming back to it.
An underappreciated highlight from 3.0
I confess. I can’t get enough either

Trey's solo (2:54) starts off so heartbreakingly beautiful. Then they take it to space and funk the hell out of it? This is why we Phish, people.
Yup

Sounds like a Waste solo

Time for my daily dose of this excellent rendition
This was my first Phish show, I think this one has some real gems. I was REALLY hoping they'd post this one!!
Best Steep ever played. Beatles-esque at parts.
