At this point, EVEN IF Biden reversed his position on Israel I wouldn't trust him on this issue because he's allowed it to happen for two months. It would be transparent that the only reason for his changing his position is political, not because it's the right thing to do. You can't support evil and then right before the end flip and expect anyone to take you seriously. The ONLY option is for Biden to actually drop out and build up a NEW candidate. Up through the last election, I was voting nag to everyone I know. Neither of my parents, none of my siblings, my boyfriend, and even a few friends would not have voted since 2012 if I hadn't been unbearably annoying. I also proudly worked in an election office from 2013-2023. I badgered people I love even though the democrats made it real hard to garner enthusiasm with their corporate candidates. I've campaigned with time I did not have. I've donated with money I could not afford. All for people I did not believe in. Years ago I might have been more uplifted to hear Obama getting involved. But it's been so long, and we have had so MANY DISASTERS that Obama stood back from afar and just watched. I'm on a Bernie Sanders mailing list, and a week ago he asked for suggestions for the Democratic campaign. He framed it as Trump's threat to democracy (which is my bottom line), but I think he is concerned as well. They need to: -Do better on Israel, meaningfully so, not just lip service. -Talk about working class issues that Biden is better on. -Talk about working class issues that Trump is worse on. A lot of Republican grievance is not just social issues, it's economic as well, but they don't see how Trump is all talk and not action on those. -If they're going to clamor about the threat of Trump, talk about Project 2025. Biden is so stubborn, complacent, and frankly, smug about his own career that he's willing to bet the entire democracy on it.

At this point, EVEN IF Biden reversed his position on Israel I wouldn't trust him on this issue because he's allowed it to happen for two months. Cool the economy is doing well, I'm a millennial so it doesn't matter. Skilled worker, college degree, student debt, and I can't afford to buy a house in my home state. I'm sure the folks on wallstreet are doing well though.

I'm on a Bernie Sanders mailing list, and a week ago he asked for suggestions for the Democratic campaign. He framed it as Trump's threat to democracy (which is my bottom line), but I think he is concerned as well.
They need to:
-Do better on Israel, meaningfully so, not just lip service.
-Talk about working class issues that Biden is better on.
-Talk about working class issues that Trump is worse on. A lot of Republican grievance is not just social issues, it's economic as well, but they don't see how Trump is all talk and not action on those.
-If they're going to clamor about the threat of Trump, talk about Project 2025.
Biden is so stubborn, complacent, and frankly, smug about his own career that he's willing to bet the entire democracy on it.
Honestly, i think the economy will tank over the summer. Kind of like '08. So we definitely need a strong candidate, or even better a new one to distance themselves from Biden.
Given what happened at the start of this decade, something is going to blow the house of cards we call the economy.

Race reparations are racist because they treat people differently based on skin color. And in all likelihood, race reparations will create more racism because it forces one race to pay for the wrong-doings of slave holders 2 centuries ago. In other words, race reparations punish the wrong people, and that's only going to lead to more racism. Race reparations are literally just feeding the culture wars.
On the other hand, "class reparations" (or wealth redistribution) are a proper solution to the wealth disparity between races. RFK supports investments in poor communities in the US, stating that these investments will disproportionately support black communities because they are disproportionately poor. That is the way it should be. If you support race reparations instead of class reparations, you are admitting that the differences in outcomes between black and white people is due to skin color and not just wealth disparities... And that is racism. On the other hand, if you support class reparations and reject race reparations, you admit that the differences in outcomes between black and white people is caused by wealth alone... And that is logical.
