It's really cool when train crews (and railfans) realize the cameras are there, like the Amtrak guy did at the end. Gotta love the railroads :)

He said it!! I think that's the first time I ever heard a conductor say "All aboard" in one of these Grab Bags! There were some really nice fallen flags in this one, the last LORAM footage in Fort Madison was surreal and amazing, the lightning in OKC was wonderful, and it was great to see the Rocky Mountaineer on Big 10--epic! But the eclipse stole the show. Thank you so much for including it--this one was unforgettable!

Thank you VR for the continuing of the Cryro Car names. FYI there is a Sterling, New York.
At least the DARWIN didn't try to go over the train with his bike and decided to walk to the end of the train. Still, surprised, he gotten a lesson to always look before you leap 😮.

7:45 One of the best examples on why to never cross the tracks on a double track (even tho in this case there were no gates where he was crossing) when the gates are down even though one of the trains are stopped. Also why to not trespass on railroad property. Not tryna be a nerd but.

I saw the total solar eclipse on all 8 cams that were in the path including Russellville and Fairport. I got to be honest, the pink sky in Fairport as the end of the moon's shadow approached was absolutely incredible, very fitting that it was the last cam to see it all.

Tomahawk, Marinette and Western is pretty far from northern Wisconsin. I live in the state and I can honestly say I’ve never seen one of their cars outside of the few miles of paper mill track they normally operate on. The name was shortened to just Tomahawk after they were sold around 2000. Long history back to late 1800’s.

Hi, I'm in the UK and looked-up Waycross Diamond on 'Maps'. It is a fairly impressive Jct. and Yard. It is good to learn that the Boxcars remain in use. I noted that the r/p was AGR (no X) and discovered the Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway (Class II railroad) owned by Genesee & Wyoming. I browsed CSX Bowline and came up with 'The Waycross-Montgomery Line, which has a good write-up in Wiki too. Thank you for your reply.@@bowlinerailfan

Railroads run on their own private property. Their permission is required in order to build an at grade crossing, with the understanding that trains may block the crossing from time to time. It's not the railroads' fault that cities and towns chose not to invest in under or over passes.
