Welcome back, Fr. Chris. Thank you for a very informative talk on a very confusing & controversial topic. Know that I have prayed for you, your mom & the rest of your family & will continue to do so. May God bless, strengthen & protect you in your ministry. God bless the Marians.
May the Divine assistance remain always with us and may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. I feel your pain father Chris my mother passed this December 2nd 2024. You and your family are always in my prayers.
Welcome back Father Chris. Thank you for this fabulous talk with innumerable nuggets of great information. I'm going to comment backwards. I enjoyed learning about St Stephen, his martyrdom and his interment with St Lawrence in Rome. I realized that even if I never travel on another pilgrimage, (which I pray isn't true), I have walked the in the steps of the great deacons St. Lawrence and St Stephen, Our Lady and Our Lord in the spring 2024 pilgrimage to Einsiedeln. Speaking of deacons, on that trip we were joined by the Superstar deacon, Deacon Harold. While he didn't have to baptize anyone, (to my knowledge), we pilgrims were treated to the very best of the diaconate, in his preaching, praying, and administering of the Holy Eucharist, in addition to his great big personality. Now, thank you for clarifying the difference between the titles, "Deaconess" and ordaining female deacons. Now I have the tools for when a well-meaning person promotes women deacons, and priests. Poor Pope Francis, I guess that he just cannot bear to offend the progressives. I love our apostolic Marian community, of which, you, your brothers and all of us are members. I'm hardly surprised that the Marian community joined you and your family enmasse to pray with and show love to you and your family for your mom. She and all of you continue to be in my prayers. I love all of your childhood stories of her, and your dad which I hope that you continue to tell in your teachings. What a special woman she was, and she raised a wonderful you. Be gentle with yourself as you grieve. God bless you. I'll be "at Mass" tomorrow. PS: Gwen Stefani is a Catholic. I thought I'd seen her on the Hallow App advertisement. On more research, she had her first marriage nullified by the Church in 2015, and remarried Blake Shelton? (a country singer I think) in the Catholic Church.
Fr. Chris, you are truly a blessing to us all. My sincere condolences for the loss of your precious mom. May God bless you. You and your family are in my daily Rosaries. I've lived with moderate to severe pain for the past 29 years. Since I can no longer be an RN, my "occupation" is praying for the poor souls and priests for the remainder of my life. Verbal hug until we go to the Reservation. ❤
We love you Father Chris thank you for all the sacrifices and love and help to make our knowledge about our catholic faith . We love you and GOD LOVES YOU TOO like us . Amen
@DivineMercy_Official 💕🙏 Fr. CHRIS, “WELCOME BACK!” We truly miss you 🥰 I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Mother, is truly a heartbreaking experience and our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your loved ones in this difficult time. May God grant you and your loved ones strength and comfort during this difficult time. May God grant precious Mother and our spiritual grandmother eternal rest. “ I will forever cherish her for sharing her precious son with us” 🥰 Thank you for FASCINATING talk as always. I pray that our Church Leaders hear your talk, they need to learn from The Holy Spirit through you. God bless you, your loved ones, Marian priests, brothers, and all the MIC Community🙏💕
Father Chris, I am so sorry to hear that your mom has passed. You certainly have had a lot of trails with your sweet parents. I always have a bead on my Rosary for you, I will add your mom to the Hail Mary I say for you. God bless you, I know your mom is with God. How proud she is to have a priest for a son. Bless your family!
St. Stephen was stoned to death near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem for proclaiming his faith in Jesus. Today, near the site of St. Stephen’s martyrdom, a grand Catholic church and convent, have stood since the year 1900. A chapel of one form or another memorializing Stephen’s martyrdom has existed at the site since at least the fifth century. Thank you, Fr. Alar for this teaching. Prayers for my son Deacon Ignatius and soon his priestly ordination in the Armenian Catholic Church. Like Fr. Alar Dc. Ignatius chose a life of celibacy, although he can marry in the Eastern Catholic Church.
Fr. Chris, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and shall pray for your Mother’s soul at our daily Holy Rosary asking for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mery Christmas. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
First, our big and warm welcome from the depths of our hearts, Fr. Chris! The spirit of Jesus Divine Mercy makes you come back to us, to provide us with more knowledge of the Church teachings of today’s interesting topic: the Diaconate and Women Deacons? We highly appreciate your explanation that help us understand the role of Deacons in the Catholic Church. My heartfelt gratitude to you for sharing to us what you learned in the seminary. May God continue to bless you and your missionary spirit. Prayers for all the MIC Fathers, Brothers and the Marian family.

I'm glad you're back, Father Chris, but my heart aches for you at the loss of your Mom - Whichever Divine Mercy Chaplet I participate in during our daily Zoom holy hour (we usually say three), I silently offer up for her soul, and I offer the Rosary for you and your family. I know it's His decision, because most people must spend some time in Purgatory, but I hope God will tell Mary to bring your Mom to Heaven during Christmas or Easter of the Jubillee Year. Even if it isn't this year, perhaps she will introduce her to my husband Jai - I think they will become good friends. I know we won't really know what happened until we get there ourselves, but both scenarios bring me peace. I continue to send love, hugs, and prayers to you and your family,
Merry Christmas Fr Chris! Praying many blessings on you & your family as we begin our “first’s” without our moms.😞. May they rest in peace 🙏😇😇 God bless 💙
@@parysethibodeau9474 condolences to you on the recent loss of your mom. Keeping all of the moms who have left this earth in prayer. Fr Chris, giving myself a pat on the back because I knew the answer to your question today “what is the conversion prayer? “ My watch alarm is set to go off every afternoon at 3:15 when I pray “oh blood and water…… “I suppose it’s a good time to include the deceased moms in prayer as well.
Just to be comprehensive, there were some women “ordained” as deacons, but a five-minute search will show you that they were in schismatic sects. The historical deaconesses in the Catholic Church never included the laying on of hands-they were not ordained. Deaconesses were much closer to consecrated Sisters in active orders (as opposed to contemplative nuns).
💕🙏O Jesus, I implore Your assistance for Your faithful and fervent priests;for Your unfaithful and tepid priests; for Your priests laboring at home or abroad in distant mission fields; for Your lonely and desolate priests;for Your young priests; for Your dying priests; for the souls of Your priests in purgatory. But above all, I commend to You the priests dearest to me; the priest who baptized me;the priests who absolved me from my sins; the priests at whose Masses I assisted and who gave me your Body and Blood in Holy Communion; the priests who taught and instructed me; all the priests to whom I am indebted in any other way. O Jesus, keep them all close to Your Sacred Heart and bless them abundantly in time and eternity. Amen.💕🙏
Another thing I think must be changed in deciding what men can become deacons, is that age should NOT matter. I know of someone who wanted to be ordained a deacon; however the layman in charge of deciding said he could not because of his age. I know that he and his wife are truly one and he should have been allowed to be ordained? Why doesn’t the bishop make such decisions? There is the problem of family responsibility and when a man’s children are grown, it’s his “old” age’
In the Diocese of Oakland CA they already started to offer classes for women diaconess. The church were they announced have two deacons male that are masons. That is a fact I saw in the museum the picture of the lodge mason of Union City CA and there was the two deacons from my church.
