Thanks for the video and update. I will be glad when Keith Rucker gets finished with the stoker engine restoration and brings it up. Have any of the other people that have helped with the restoration put up any videos?
Love what you guys are doing with number 576. I got to see it in Centennial Park first-hand, prior to you beginning its restoration. I'm honestly curious, are you going to bring back how it looked when it had its original streamlining from 1943-1945, or as it looked while on display?
Thank you so much for this video. I've been trying to follow the restoration, but videos come out in dribbles, and are never very long...two or three minutes. I've been saying for years that you need more publicity, and a UA-cam presence could even bring in money to offset costs. Please, more...and longer.
The Swiss kept steam locomotives in storage long after diesels made them obsolete. A steam engine will run after a nuclear explosion, whereas a diesel, or any other internal combustion engine will not run due to external electrical interference.
She's the spirit of Nashville!
Young Mr. Hook does a nice job. He speaks well and is well presented. Keep him and give him a big raise !
I got to ride in the cab of nc&stl 710
The year 576 was retired I was born. When it was in the park I climbed all over it. I hope I get to see the day it's back in service.
My great grandfather worked at Radnor Yards for the NC&StL as a mechanic and could have worked on this locomotive at some time in his railroad career.
Beautiful
AWESOME Thanks for the update
576 is one step closer to full operational statis!
I can't wait to see what you have for us, Nashville Steam! But will be waiting patiently.
Very informative video, very well presented.

When is it going to be complete and ready to run?
When will you be getting everything on the locomotive?
Will the wheels be back on the 576 by the time the open house is held in Nov?

The world needs steam locomotives when diesel fuel is completely gone. More steam locomotives will need to be restored.

@@jeffholloway7974 That sounds good.
This is coal fired right? Or Oil fired?
Coal. The stoker motor is being rebuilt by Keith Rucker: ua-cam.com/video/3Wz9BeTkGSg/v-deo.html
@@NashvilleSteam very cool!!
Lord knows I am no expert on steam locomotives, but several rebuilds have been converted to oil since it is not as abrasive as coal.@@NashvilleSteam
When will this locomotive be finished ? I can’t wait to ride it!!
