- James Shipway gets to grips with the new META Series Manson MBM-2 range with the new neck P-90 pickup model, and Meta-Blue gloss finish Sustainiac equipped variation. The demo reveals clean and distorted tones of each variation and plenty of long sustain notes through fundamental, mix and harmonic mode of the sustainiac model. Check out the cool clean sounds of the new P-90 and how a clean sustainiac pickup sounds in action.
Sounding great, will be a great addition to my MBM1.

@@mansonguitars5483 , I recommend the Meta series to anyone, I've played 90 shows and do two 3 hour rehearsals a week with it as my main guitar. The MBM2 blue might be a close runner.
Excellent demo. Great playing and a simple run through of what the guitar can do, without any unecessary waffle or 'showing off'. Sound like a fun guitar to play ...

Just picked up the blue one with the sustaniac. Took me a couple hours to figure out how to use it properly (especially with the 3 dials inside the control cavity), but now that I have, I love it. Do you sell any Manson branded gig bags or cases for it, rather than the Cort one it came with?
Would love to hear @John Cordy play one of these! - In fact with John's following I think you aught to have him demo it!

Hey, I have that blue one and I would like to know why the bridgepickup has a Polespace of 52 cm. Is that a F-spaced Pickup?
Yes, that's the bridge pickup dimensions, sometimes called F or T spacing.

@@Centlos there is no hard and fast rule, it's what works best. We tried 50mm. 52 was better.
Are the specifications other than the neck pickup the same as the mbm1? Is there any difference?
Yes the body is recontoured as well and twin humbucker models have the neck pickup rested for clearer voicing.
Is the silver design/finish basically identical to MBM1 Starlight Silver? Wish it wasn't matte.
It is the same as the MBM-1 finish. Most customers like the matte!
The fret edges and neck edges look very sharp… is this true?
No, not at all. we still have that demo model here and it plays great.

will there be a version released with dots on the fretboard?
No plans on that, the guitar does have side dots on the fingerboard though...

What bridge pickups are in the guitars?
Manson Guitar Works designed variation of the PF-1. Circa 14k output, Alnico V magnets, mid/high gain.

mbm1 bridge pickup mbm2 bridge pickup not different?
Same pickup! Works great so we felt there was no need to change. The P-90 was the pickup more developed to match the existing bridge pickup.

Whats the difference between this and Mbm-1?
The MBM-1 uses a double humbucker configuration, while this one has a P-90 at the neck.
Colour wise the MBM-1 has Starlight Silver as the secondary colour, while this one has blue

@@sgouropan302 As far as I'm aware, yes. I have the Mbm-1 myself and the new model looks practically identical. I think they might be based in Matt's matte black guitars, so it's probably the same on both😁

Sounds awful, I thought sustainiac was more interesting and when played finger style otherwise 3 out of 10, hence hardly any youtube reviews and no one is stocking it after MBM 1
