I always said Art with a purpose is a Career. Which is why I turned to industrial design and make a good living. I follow you and others in my prime years as a designer to learn new techniques and draw things I've never been good at. This keeps my sketching skills in check and have new goals that revolve around art. I had an instructor who always talked about Mileage. You have to put in the mileage before you can make it in this industry. Keep up the great work. You are helping people keep their dreams alive with a little dose of reality :).
rod i think artists like us need each other for support and to continue on and i am so glad i can learn from you and know its appreciated and you are a wonderful human for caring to show others!
Just wanted to show appreciation. Your videos have absolutely transformed my drawing workflow! Thank you!
what i love about your teachings is you not only teach about drawing but life advice on what to do or not to like the whole dept art collage stuff really oped my eyes from getting my future ass in some dept problems lol thanks rod!
Thank you, you wellspoken skilled piece of happiness!
👍🙏💗💗💗
You are posting so many videos lately, I am getting a little worried about if you or your channel are at risk. I hope not because your videos are awesome.
So more videos means something at risk from
Your point of view lol
@@RODGONTHEARTIST No, change might mean something happened. I figured I was worried over nothing, but the views aren't as high as I expected considering how good your content is. So I thought an increase output might be a means to try to increase views and followers.
@@JakeSmith-mq5dc Jake,..I kinda get what you are saying but I do not think this applies to our dear friend Rodrigo. I know passion when I see it (and hear it) after 60 years of observing and recognizing it when it presents itself.
I can assure you that RodGon IS PASSIONATE!
Where the average person might see RodGon's work cadence as incredibly arduous and labor intensive, the passionate person sees it as a dude (or dudette) just loving what he/she does and genuinely gratified from sharing their passion with all who will watch and learn from it. Quite simply, it's not work if you love what you do.
You can bet that he should be getting more eyeballs on his lessons here but he cannot help it if the masses are still unknowingly being duped by the fallacy of old school methodologies and overpriced training schemes. All we can do as subscribers is purchase his books as they become available and get the word out whenever/wherever possible.
I know he may think I speak in jest when I mention how I will be purchasing three copies of his forthcoming "How to Draw" book,...but he will soon see that I am not. I want one to put on my shelf and two to write notes on and sketch all over as I break down the lessons and examples.
